The timing is crazy, but the kid worked his cohones off for 2+ years to come back from an injury that was caused by the team's total lack of investment in the OL and exacerbated by their utterly negligent handling of his recovery. At some point, a guy has to make a choice between football and quality of life.

The dude had 37 sacks in 3 seasons and made 3 consecutive pro bowls. Invisible might be the worst descriptor for him. -
You're missing it. You said that it's a rookie throw. It's not. Gunslinger QBs attempt that throw. Mahomes did it multiple times last year too, but as you've seen, QBs at the end of 2 decade careers do it too.

So your position is that the pass shown is the first time Favre did that? I'm guessing that you didn't grow up watching him
-
Not sure you want to die on that hill... That INT that was posted was Favre in his 48th season.

Generally agree. I just don't see how Duke makes the team unless they keep 7 WRs or only 3 TEs (with Kroft on PUP). STs are easily my biggest concern. They're awful in coverage. Re Josh, you can tell that he's still not quite on the same page as some of his WRs. That seems especially evident on the boundary throws. -
Does anyone care that he made that same throw last year for big completions in 3 different games--2 of which were for 50+ yards? Yes, it's a throw he needs to learn not to force, but it's also a club that he should keep in his bag.

This could qualify for the worst post of the month. Seriously. You've thoroughly ignored the post that you quoted and went straight to attacking a point that I never made. So, you know, nice work. -
I'm 50/50 on Daboll. His scheme and play design looked really good to me for the most part. His game plan and in-game play calls, however, definitely need to improve. I wonder how much impact that had on Allen's development, and--on the flip side--how much Allen's inexperience impacted Daboll's ability to call plays.

Those people clearly didn't watch the Patriots last year. That was a run-first team all day long. So was Seattle for that matter. -
I don't think a lot of folks would argue the post you quoted. I do think, however, that it's important to point out that Allen wasn't exactly all-time-bad last year as a rookie. As I've mentioned on this board several times, he was clearly better as a rookie than guys like Goff and Trubisky, despite playing with a supporting cast that was at least as bad as theirs. Now, it remains to be seen if the offseason improvements that Buffalo made to their offense are as good as those made by LAR and Chicago leading up to Goff/Trubisky's 2nd seasons, but if they are, then yes, we should all expect similar improvements. For context, between years 1 and 2: LA added: Woods, Watkins, Kupp, Reynolds, Whitworth, Sullivan, Blythe, Everett, Higbee, and McVay as HC Chicago added: Robinson, Gabriel, Miller, Burton, Daniels, and Nagy as HC Buffalo added: Brown, Beasley, Roberts, Kroft, Knox, Sweeney, Nsekhe, Spain, Morse, Ford, and Feliciano
