I think that's fair. Now if Allen really makes a jump and the OL turns out to be dominant, then I could see a top -12 finish. All in all I think that this offseason was about bolstering the OL and bringing the skill positions up from brutal to stable. With the WR talent available in FA and the 2020 draft (which looks to me like it'll be as good if not better than the 2014 WR group), next offseason should most certainly be about loading up at WR.

This team has 3 flex interior guys already. How many do you want? He's done.
-
What if you drafted both Devin and Shady? Asking for a friend
-
What? No. McDermott and Beane inherited McCoy from Rex and Whaley, who gave Shady a big contract to get him to buy into the trade. They had, at the time, one of the most talented offensive rosters in football with Watkins, Woods, Harvin, Hogan, Goodwin, Shady, and a very strong OL.

Honestly, 2 things: 1) your posts trail off and sometimes stop abruptly with zero logical conclusion. Makes it difficult to have a discussion. 2) you tend to think in a vacuum. Why did KC trade a first round pick for Frank Clark? Because they traded away one of their best pass rushers for a 2nd rounder and cut their other top pass rusher. They also didn't re-sign their best DB (Eric Berry). KC is NOT the example you want to point to for elite talent on both sides of the ball.

I didn't name-call. I said you're whining. FWIW, I completely agree that the offense doesn't have a single player that keeps opposing DCs awake at night (aside from Allen's play making ability). That doesn't, however, mean that they can't be successful. Like I said: NE won a super bowl that way last year.

Check out Premier Gourmet on NF Blvd. They have an incredible selection of cheeses that will pair beautifully with all of that whine. They've played zero regular season snaps; why not park this bus until you see them play half a series?

Yes, clearly our HC still thinks caveman football works...must be why the team spent $22M per year on pass catchers, traded up in the draft for a TE, and just cut their top RB. I realize that you're here to criticize first, but just for fun, you might occasion to think about what you're saying. Also, you might want to let NE know that the run-oriented model doesn't work. Maybe you can convince them that they did not, in fact, win the super bowl with it last year. Beating the pass happy Chiefs and Rams in the process.

Because if they IR him now he can't be one of their 2 IR returns during the season. If he initially makes the 53, then he can

Someone said it in a different thread; looks like it's not officially official yet. Still time for Beane to ship a 6th as I predicted

Jests cut their 3rd rounder Polite

I said at the time that was an all time awful pick -
Britton Colquitt was just released...
-
Britton? I had him on my 53 for the Bills
-
Nope. Buffalo has an option for 2021 on Tre, plus they could tag him twice. They have a ton of cap room and a 2nd year QB. They may not have hit the start of their window yet, let alone be anywhere near seeing the close of it.
-
In other words: you don't have to pass through waivers, so we're cutting you. Once we've made the claims we need, we're re-signing you.
-
Has to mean that either MorAx or Dodson make the 53, right?
-
Hmmm...Tyrel Dodson making the 53 then? Or MorAx

I just don't think that the opinions on Duke will be as high across the league. It's certainly possible that he gets claimed, but my guess is that there's better players that will get claimed before him.
-
And the fact that he's been outplayed by every other back on the roster this preseason?
-
Which makes the importance of the RB greater or lesser?
-
So you're disappointed with their 2019 record this far?
-
You realize that he failed to outperform the QB on the ground last year right?
-
If it ends up being 5 and 5 at DB, I'd bet even money that Neal gets replaced by a corner with slot-boundary flex potential
