  1. 1) One is Darryl (DE) and one is Duke (WR) 2) I think they keep only 1 or 2 WR on the PS, so yeah, I could see 2 of Duke/RayRay/Easley 3) I'm thinking it'll be a 6th
  2. He did...and then he came back after watching the OL that he brilliantly maneuvered for years utterly crumble in a single season.
  3. Probably going to send one of those 6's back out the door for a punter too
  4. For those keeping track, this gives Buffalo 9 picks in 2020: 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th + Cleveland's 5th 6th + Cleveland's 6th + Baltimore's 6th (via NE) Buffalo's 7th belongs to Cleveland from the Corey Coleman trade
  5. So think of the haul for Teller in this context: He was a 5th round pick that wasn't going to make the roster, so the team was able to ship him and a 7th for a 5th and a 6th. Contrast that with NE... https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/08/30/patriots-trade-duke-dawson-to-broncos/ They had a 2018 2nd-round pick that wasn't going to make the roster, so the team shipped him and a 7th for a 6th.
  6. I honestly don't see what the big deal is here. Let her try out. If she's good enough to warrant serious consideration, and she's willing to take on the injury risk, then let her play.
  7. Yes, but when he was released, did you utter "he's been Schmidt-canned"?
  8. Sharp decline in the final 6 games of the regular season, and the decline continued in the playoffs.
  9. Am I the only one that noticed that former Buffalo Bill Duke Preston is Tampa Bay's Director of Player Engagement?
  10. I have no idea what you're saying here, but the point I was making is simple: the comparison to Tebow is misplaced. A guy kneeling to pray on the sideline right before he takes the field for an offensive possession is not going to be viewed the same as a guy kneeling in protest during the anthem. And yes, the kneeling has become a political tool. I've said from the beginning: the players are allowed to kneel, I'm allowed to think that they're buffoons for doing so, and the owners are allowed to cut them if they don't like it.
  11. Let her try out. Why not? If she can make field goals reliably, then I'm sure some team will pay her to do it.
  12. Dude, c'mon...plenty of black athletes knelt and prayed on the field before games. The only reason the kneeling became an issue was because it occurred during the anthem. You know that.
  13. I'd bet that the QB, who had a career YPA of over 8.0 with Watkins in the lineup and a career YPA of less than 6.4 without him, cared.
  14. Yep, but they don't allow you to do whatever you want in the workplace. I'm all for freedom. You want to pray? Great. You want to kneel during the anthem? Go for it. Just understand that your employer can fire you for either of those things, because freedom of speech/religion does not equate to freedom from consequence of a private employer.
  15. Just players praying before the game; they've been doing this for years
  16. Absolutely. You saw it on multiple occasions last year when the personnel groupings and play structure resulted in him being left obnoxiously wide open on wheel routes for huge gainers. I'd also like to point out that he gained 71 offensive yards on only 4 touches, and that includes a reception for zero yards against NE, so it's not like the guy can't be effective when given opportunities.
  17. Update after last night's game: QB (2) - J. Allen, M. Barkley RB (4) - L. McCoy, F. Gore, D. Singletary, T. Yeldon FB (1) - P. DiMarco TE (4) - D. Knox, T. Sweeney, L. Smith, T. Kroft WR (6) - J. Brown, C. Beasley, Z. Jones, R. Foster, A. Roberts, I. McKenzie OL (9) - D. Dawkins, Q. Spain, M. Morse, C. Ford, T. Nsekhe, J. Feliciano, R. Bates, S. Long, I. Boettger ST (3) - R. Ferguson, S. Hauschka, B. Colquitt (projected trade with Cleveland) DE (4) - J. Hughes, T. Murphy, S. Lawson, D. Johnson DT (4) - S. Lotuleilei, E. Oliver, J. Phillips, H. Phillips LB (6) - M. Milano, T. Edmunds, L. Alexander, C. Thompson, J. Stanford, D. Lacey CB (6) - T. White, L. Wallace, T. Johnson, K. Johnson, S. Neal, L. Pitts S (4) - M. Hyde, J. Poyer, K. Coleman, D. Marlowe PS - T. Jackson, C. Wade, D. Johnson, J. Jones, V. Joseph, D. Rice, J. Johnson Changes: Yeldon makes it over Murphy - when he didn't even play last night and Murphy is still in the game returning punts in the 4th, that tells you something Kroft from PUP to active roster based upon Beane's comments Cut Duke Williams - Final roster spot on offense will come down to a 7th WR or a 9th OLman; I went with the OLman I. Boettger from PS to active roster after Teller trade Sticking with Marlowe over J. Johnson; Johnson is active in run support, but just doesn't look good in coverage. He needs a year of seasoning on the PS.
  18. If Kroft is healthy enough to be on the opening day roster then they're definitely keeping 4 TEs.
  19. If they want to offer me Clowney and a 2nd for Dawkins, then we can wrap this baby up by 7:00am.
  20. I think they'll trade for a punter before Saturday at 4pm
  21. I wonder if it was our own or the one we got from the Newhouse trade Maybe; depends on where they see Bates playing.
  22. Meh, I'd imagine a lot of players in the Bills' locker room didn't feel great about McDermott and Beane showing up and dealing two of the team's most talented players in Watkins and Darby. Winning fixes everything.
  23. Thanks. You all could be right about Yeldon over Murphy, and it wouldn't surprise me in the least. For Vosean vs. Lacey, part of it is STs, but I just can't get away from how good Lacey has looked with the 2's this preseason. Munnerlyn lost out to Pitts in my projection based upon a numbers game. You've got your top 3 boundary corner spots locked up with White/Wallace/K. Johnson, as well as your top 2 slot corner spots with T. Johnson/S. Neal. If you keep a 6th, you probably want it to be a boundary guy, since you have no backup boundary corner if one of your starters goes down. On the contrary, if either Taron or Neal go down, K. Johnson, L. Pitts, and (in an emergency) M. Hyde can all play the slot, so you've got some contingency there. The J.J./Marlowe projection is purely my reading the tea leaves based upon playing time and PS eligibility.
  24. Most centers can long snap, though it takes a specialist to be reliably good at it. As a practical matter, you also want your LS to be a guy that can cover punts too. I agree that Yeldon is probably the better RB, but whoever they keep is no better than their RB4, which means the guy better be able to play STs. In 4 pro seasons, Yeldon has never played a single snap on STs, whereas Murphy played 79 ST snaps in 11 games in 2018 alone.
