  1. What? First off, his very first third down throw was a dart for a first down that Brown dropped. Secondly, he lead consecutive scoring drives to put the team ahead 10-7, so it isn’t exactly as though he crumbled and went to 💩 He started slow for sure, but by the 2nd quarter he was fine. He started 2/8 and finished 12 of his last 19, which included a few bad drops (as per usual).
  2. I find this to be a wholly reasonable take...quick, say something irrational so that I know I’m in the right place 🤣
  3. Yeah ok. Josh Allen looked ready to go home after he ran through a defender one play earlier...sounds reasonable. Or not. The slow start is definitely an issue, don’t get me wrong. The big indicator will be how well he’s able to adjust to seeing more zone coverage...we shall see.
  4. Uh, no. We chalk it up to desperation time. What’s he supposed to do at that point? Throw it away and live for another day? They’re down 2 scores with a minute left.
  5. I’m not worried about Allen. When he got the ball in the 4th quarter, the dog came out as usual. 5/5 and a score—just need a stop and he’d have his chance. Alas, they didn’t get it. I’m not saying he had his best game—he started slow for sure...but if and when he becomes our biggest problem, we’ll be a Super Bowl contender.
  6. Guessing we see a lot more of AJE and Darryl Johnson
  7. The Bills ran 9 times in the 1st half against Vegas and 11 times in the 2nd (not counting kneel downs)...they didn’t try to run and give up; they ran/passed at the same ratio they’ve been doing it all season.
  8. I gotta say: typically when the Bills lose I wake up game day morning with a sense of impending doom. Tuesday was the first time that’s happened this season, and we know how that worked out. I definitely don’t have that today...it feels...odd. Like, I should be nervous about this one, and yet I have this calm confidence. I think we’re going to find a way. Call it a win on a last-second, epic-long FG by Bass. No clue why I think that.
  9. This is actually quite easy to explain: they’re getting better, but they may or may not be ready to play come game time, so the team works them into practice so that—if in fact they’re good to go—they’ll be prepared. Maybe, but that’s not what you’re likely to see. Using him in man coverage just isn’t a great investment of his skill set. You lose his ability to occupy zones and be a threat as a blitzer.
  10. Peter King just said that Josh Allen looked like 2018 Josh Allen on Tuesday. I’m going to bet a hefty sum that Peter King did not watch the game on Tuesday.
  11. Yeah, I hear you. I’m hopeful that Ford can step up his game. He really has had moments, but they’ve been too few and far between for my liking. Not sure what happened to Spain—maybe getting paid resulted in him slacking a bit, but he was solid last year. Anyway, the guards are a problem in the run game right now.
  12. I don’t think they will... I just think they should based on the two players respective performances thus far.
  13. Go watch the tape and get back to me. PS—there’s a whole thread on this. PPS—why does it ruffle your feathers so when I disagree with the coaching staff? PPPS—if that’s “professional organization” was PFF, then 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  14. He’s horrendous. I’m in favor of Mongo at RG and Spain at LG once everyone is available. Ford and Winters to the bench. They’re both just...woof
  15. When teams go to heavy zone coverage, Brown can threaten the deep border as well as anyone. He forces the safeties to widen or the corners to play some bail technique, which creates more space for the underneath stuff. Aside from that, Allen trusts him, and he knows how to work back to the QB when Allen scrambles.
  16. Oh now Josh’s accuracy issues are Matt Ryan-like as opposed to “can’t hit the broadside of a barn”? It’s amazing to me how obvious it is to folks now that he’s on the cusp of greatness; it should’ve been obvious 3 years ago.
  17. That’d be nice...he’s no all-pro, but Winters is horrible and the run game could use some nasty. Side note: I can’t be the only person that sings “Mongo Feliciano” to the tune of “Mambo Italiano”, right?
