  1. PFR has him allowing 10 receptions in 6 games for 2 TDs. So we’re talking about between 1 and 2 receptions per game, and some folks are losing their minds over some apparent “regression”
  2. Seattle makes a ton of sense; I wouldn’t be shocked to see KC or Pittsburgh try to get in on that action either.
  3. He was announced as the starter immediately following yesterday’s game
  4. Ok I just have to know: has anyone actually looked at how many completions Tre has allowed this year? Not picking on you specifically...
  5. I think the All-22 will tell a story here... What I think I saw is relatively good coverage by the Jets in the RZ. But I also saw a few plays where Josh could’ve made better decisions with the ball. The fake double screen was supposed to go to Kroft, and if that could happen quicker it would’ve been a TD...but I couldn’t tell from the replay angle if Josh hesitated because Kroft hadn’t cleared the clogged throwing lane yet. That’s just one example, and if you combine a miscue like that, a few questionable route combinations, decent coverage scheme, a few key penalties, and a RZ turnover you end up with a 0-9 RZ performance.
  6. Not sure what percentage of Thuney’s hit we’d take, but I’m sure there’s a way to make it work. He allowed 2 TDs and a passer rating below 65 in his final season here. That’s pretty great for a guy that played like he didn’t want to be here.
  7. I’d ship ‘em a 3 for Thuney right now. At worst you get it back in 2022 draft after he signs a big FA deal.
  8. 1) he didn’t get traded from Buffalo 2) he wanted to get paid; it had nothing to do with not wanting to be in Buffalo—that’s just something fans say practically every time a player leaves and gets big money elsewhere
  9. Please move him this week—this game gets a LOT easier if he’s not on the field for them.
  10. I said yesterday that we need Allen to not be out there thinking that he has to win the game all by himself... ...even though he has to win the game all by himself most of the time 😂
  11. Well then they either called the wrong guy or that penalty was horse manure
  12. Was the call on Davis? Looks to me like the call would be on the other side of the field, where Diggs is on the LOS (making 8 men, which is illegal) and covering up Kroft (also illegal).
  13. I didn’t see the replay to know if we were lined up properly, but I tend to fault the player in that situation—gotta know the rules and pay attention. But I do acknowledge that such a penalty has absolutely no impact on the play, so yeah, it should’ve been a TD with a little bit of attention to detail. The Beasley play doesn’t quite bother me as much, but if he simply knows where the sideline is that’s a TD too. Both were fantastic plays by the QB. On the Davis play, he hard counts to expose the blitz, changes the protection, hard counts again, adjusts Davis’ route, pump fakes to freeze the safety, and throws a perfect ball. When that’s wiped out by a penalty, he comes right back and hits the perfect throw to Beasley for another TD, but alas he puts himself out of bounds and wipes that out as well. Josh is good. When the rest of the team catches up to him we’ll be AOK.
  14. Josh was fine. Not fantastic; fine. He made two outstanding plays for TDs that got wiped out by sloppy WR plays, but thems the breaks. He isn’t at all the problem.
  15. Assuming that the starting OL is: Dawkins-Ike-Morse-Winters 🤢-Williams
  16. He was certainly exceptional in man coverage, and probably overall better than Edmunds in zone, but I don’t think the gap in zone coverage ability is very large. Nevertheless it’s a salient point.
  17. Oh man the Mike is a staple. Mike and a red eye—you require nothing else in this world 😂
  18. Nice. I’d probably do prosciutto instead of smoked and crisp it up first, but the real gem there is the cream cheese—it’s my secret weapon in the kitchen. Makes everything better.
  19. Defending what? All I did was lay out the data. Tell you what: look at the per-game numbers and tell me what they say, then we can have a discussion.
  20. Wanted to make a lighter breakfast this morning, so I gave this new pancake recipe a whirl and it came out great: 1.5 cups nonfat cottage cheese 1.5 cups plain oats 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp vanilla pinch salt 5 eggs 1 overripe banana Whiz it all up in a blender and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Cook on a nonstick griddle. Makes 15 pancakes. Bonus: I made a blueberry syrup to go with it. 1 cup blueberries (I used frozen), 4 T sugar, 4 T water, 1 T OJ, 1/4 tsp cinnamon. Bring to boil over medium heat. Make a slurry of 3/4 tbsp each corn starch and water, and add to syrup. Cool until knapped (~3 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 tsp vanilla and some citrus zest.
  21. Did you miss the critical phrase “per game” in that post? Try clicking on the “per game” button in the link and then take a look...
  22. Partially...and partially he was fortunate enough to play behind Star and Kawann Short; flanked by Thomas Davis.
  23. Wait, he doesn’t get to rush the passer, but he should have more sacks? Also, has anyone compared Edmunds’ numbers through 3 years to Kuechly’s numbers through 3 years in the same system? Spoiler alert: I bet you’d be surprised... https://stathead.com/football/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=1&player_id1_hint=Tremaine+Edmunds&player_id1_select=Tremaine+Edmunds&player_id1=EdmuTr01&idx=pfr__players&p1yrfrom=2018&p1yrto=2020&player_id2_hint=Luke+Kuechly&player_id2_select=Luke+Kuechly&player_id2=KuecLu00&idx=pfr__players&p2yrfrom=2012&p2yrto=2014 Turns out Kuechly had 1 more tackle per game than Edmunds, and 0.2 TFLs/game more...and that’s the only difference. Though Edmunds is arguably the better pass rusher since he has 11 QB hits in 36 games compared to 7 in 48 games for Kuechly.
