  1. Not just any win; a win over the team that lorded over us for 20 years, a win that put the team at 6-2 and 4-0 in the division, and gave them pole position for a home playoff game for the first time in 25 years.
  2. 4 TD passes the last 4 weeks...and of course that’s to say nothing of Davis’ drop, Kroft getting turf monstered, or Diggs lining up wrong and nixing another Davis TD. Regression my left kidney.
  3. While you’re correct about the cap situation, I’m fairly confident that they could get the numbers to work if they could acquire the player(s) they’re after. I would be very surprised if that happens at this point.
  4. A major regression? You have to watch more than the stat sheet. It’s quite easily explained: teams are taking away the big play, and Allen’s supporting cast hasn’t been good enough to turn the short passing game and run game into points. How is that baffling in any way?
  5. He was...look at all of the clips in the threads and you’ll notice a common theme...no spoilers 😂
  6. So if I see one more person suggest that Edmunds is either unwilling or unable to take on an OLmen and shed, am I now free to slam my head into a wall out of frustration?
  7. Depends...my neurologist told me I’m back to baseline. Then again I had a pretty unique set of circumstances and treatments.
  8. FWIW I also do not expect anything. I’m not suggesting they’re not trying; merely reading tea leaves.
  9. Lock and Minshew are “very close”????? This can’t be serious.
  10. Show me where the statistic “statement game” is tracked and then we can debate it. Until then it’s some nebulous metric that you’ve set with no real concrete parameters attached, which allows you to (as Hapless said) move the goalposts to suit your position as you see fit. #1 defense in terms of yards per play
  11. Ah yes. We have to marginalize the fact that the dude threw a grand total of 5 incomplete passes and looked like a bona fide franchise QB against a top 10 defense in a nationally televised game because yardage and stuff.
  12. Not that it’s a huge deal, and it certainly shouldn’t affect his decision, but if he has to retire due to injury, that would presumably activate another $1.3M in guaranteed salary for 2021 (that amount is guaranteed for injury only), which means that his dead money hit would increase from $5.5M to $6.8M. The team would still save ~$3.5M off the current hit. The OL situation will be very interesting moving into 2021. Of the current starters, only Dawkins, Ford, and Morse are under contract. Winters is the only backup returning. I believe Bates is a RFA. Nsekhe, Mongo, and Williams are UFAs. Not good considering that the cap is going to drop.
  13. All any of this does is change perceptions; it actually has no bearing on the outcome of the season. Make the dance and you’ve got a shot.
  14. Thank you. Wins are wins. Period. Ask the 6-2 Buccaneers, who narrowly escaped with a 2-point victory over the 1-win Giants last night.
  15. Have you looked into a NUCCA chiropractor? Many times the longer-term effects can be related to upper cervical impingement...speaking from experience.
  16. I don’t think so... I think you’ll see Tre stick to one side and the coverage roll (the sky/cloud defender—kind of like the 2 in a cover 6) go to the other side of the field. That really lets the safeties key a bit easier since they don’t have to swap assignments based on pre-snap motion/adjustments.
  17. Looked like Allen asked Diggs if he (Allen) mis-read the DB’s leverage, and Diggs replied with “no that was my bad”
  18. I believe it’s an option route where both Diggs and Allen are reading the DBs leverage. Simple miscommunication —best thing about it was that both players went straight to one another and got on the same page with absolutely no animosity whatsoever.
  19. Good thing Diggs played in Carolina, otherwise we probably wouldn’t have gone after him!
  20. No doubt my friend. I view it a bit differently. Pile up wins while you continue to work on ways to optimize your defense. I don’t think anyone is fooling themselves into believing that the D will become dominant, but it’s entirely plausible that they’ll figure out ways to limit what each opponent does best just enough to give themselves a fighting chance each week. So I tend to approach it with the attitude that you keep putting check marks in the W by any means, and do your best to improve the lagging areas.
