  1. Yes, “if” you want to win. “If”. We don’t have anywhere else to go here, so I’ll just say that if you don’t see the point by now this is a fruitless exchange. Be well. I take it you haven’t read the board. There are threads asking for Frazier, Beane, and McDermott to be fired 🤣
  2. Awesome, show me where in this thread I said that Buffalo will win the Super Bowl...I believe that one could easily spot the point: don’t write this team off based on early back to back losses.
  3. Well now I’m confused. So it’s not winning the game that matters, it’s how you win that determines your record? Also, nice ad hominem! (Again) Also, who did KC beat in 2018 that made them so “proven” that they’re back to back losses (one of which came to Indy—who started a backup QB) didn’t count against their record? Also, you may want to look at the NFL’s website, Indy and Houston aren’t in KC’s division. So you’re in the “meh, let’s not worry about putting these guys away, we don’t need more points” camp? Ok, cool. I disagree. We can leave it at that. “good” teams? The 7-9 Colts were a “good team” in your estimation? Reminder: this whole discussion started when you called my post a “stretch” This is an example of why I ask for consistency in an argument.
  4. Wait, how fans feel determines if a team is good?
  5. Nice ad hominem! That wasn’t your case—what does beating a playoff team in the regular season mean? Miami beat NE last year...they’re proven! Oh, and for the record, the Bills beat Tennessee in Tennessee last year. Proven!! Yes, that’s the idea: people have this notion that this progression is supposed to look linear. It’s not. So what Mahomes said was a lie?
  6. What constitutes “proving” anything? Losing to the 2 best teams on your schedule? Like the Chiefs did the season before dropping the 2 games I referenced above in weeks 5 and 6 of 2019? Losing in the AFCCG? Is that proving something? Your argument lacks any kind of consistency.
  7. Oh okay cool. Let’s play that game then: the Bills were a CEH knee-down away from having the ball inside KC’s 30 with less than 5 minutes left. How about some consistency? And you’re still missing the point, but that’s fine. No offense, but the idea that the Chiefs collectively said “yeah, we could roll these guys at will, but let’s keep it close because we don’t really need to score more” is kind of insane. They were a missed FG (by Bass) OR a CEH ruled fumble away from being in serious danger.
  8. So they already proved that they could beat good teams, but didn’t win against the good teams to get to the Super Bowl? Got it. Also, if Buffalo did beat the 4-2 Rams. And the 3-2 Raiders (who beat the Chiefs). Also, what you’ve proven doesn’t mean 💩 if you don’t win games. Also, you completely missed the point.
  9. Look, it’s this simple: if you want to win a Super Bowl, you can’t lose back to back games to conference opponents, one of which is at home in prime time...
  10. There’s an awful lot of panic on this board. For some perspective: Anyone mind telling me what happened in weeks 5 and 6 of 2019? Hint: it involves a team most would call “good” and 2 teams most would say they should beat.
  11. Forget PFF, NextGen has the data: https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/passing#average-time-to-throw Fitz is 3rd in the league in TTT...
  12. I now have a Miami fan friend chirping me that they’re taking the division and Buffalo sucks... Because they beat 2 teams with a combined 1-11 record and a SF team with no starters and promptly benched their QB... Interesting...
  13. This isn’t going to play well with their veterans...and it’s potentially setting themselves up for disaster if he doesn’t play well. It won’t be long (assuming he doesn’t light it up) before fans (and some players) start calling for Fitz. You really don’t want to be in the position of having to bench the young franchise QB for a cowboy like Fitz. Let him play himself out of the job.
  14. While he didn’t make a lot of plays or occupy multiple blockers, he was very good at maintaining gap integrity and rarely missed tackles. The guys that replaced him don’t do any of those things, and it shows.
  15. And why did that happen? Hint: listen to Mahomes postgame interview
  16. Hmmm...so why on earth would a brilliant play caller like Reid just decide that scoring points and gaining yards isn’t important?
  17. I wish someone would’ve been talking about this back in February...
  18. Right? If this is what constitutes “meltdown” and “God awful” we’re in terrific shape at QB.
  19. Just go get a win and get back on track.
  20. Just no. Brutal analysis. Brutal. Yup. Can’t miss FGs. Can’t miss open guys. Can’t drop easy throws. Can’t miss blocks routinely. Death by 1,000 cuts.
  21. The other understated moment is when the D did force a turnover and the O got in position to steal 3 points before the half—cannot miss that kick. Make it, and it’s a one score game with a minute left...can’t tell me the O approaches that final drive the same way.
  22. Lost in all of this is the sneaky fact that CEH was a hair away from handing the Bills a late lead had his knee hit 1/4 second later.
  23. If Mongo can come back that’d be huge. Roll out Spain at LG and Mongo at RG. Winters and Ford have been atrocious.
