One of my only concerns about Baker coming out of OU is that he routinely had 4+ seconds to throw the ball, and I had no clue how he'd respond to having less than 3 in the NFL.
That could end up being a problem for him in the short-term.
I think it's a combination of things:
16 games of film
A HC that's in waaaaaaay over his head
An overmatched OL
A bit too much bravado on the part of the whole team
Let's chill on calling Baker trash.
This happens to 2nd year QBs when DCs have 16 games of film on them.
He's a kid. He'll learn, he'll improve, and he'll be back.
Of course, in the meantime, it's entirely reasonable to call him an a-hole.
Dude, if the folks that we're onto Mahomes a full year before he started being touted as a 1st round pick can manage not to make every discussion about him, so too can you
I think folks are concerned about giving up a first rounder for a defensive player when the offense is clearly so far behind the defense.
Personally, I don't think it'll take a 1st to get Miller, and I also don't worry about not having a first given the depth of both the FA and 2020 WR classes.
I would agree with that...if I believed that it was an either-or scenario.
I don't.
Every year teams deal veteran players for less than market value, so if you can get Miller for a relative song, do it. He'd instantly make the pass rush formidable.
