Splitting DiMarco out wide feels to me like a setup for a downfield TD later in the year. But yes, I imagine Daboll has been all in on beating NE since the offseason. After all, Allen developing into a franchise QB and beating NE would make a practical guarantee that he gets a HC job for 2020.
-
That's probably all true...but stranger things and all that ya know?
-
Agree that they should walk into this game feeling light as a feather. No pressure.
-
Let's get back on track here... I've been thinking more about how Daboll will attack NE's D. One clear weakness is in that their LBs and safeties aren't great in coverage. Between that and the way they like to match their CBs, I'm feeling more and more like this is a TE and RB based passing attack this week, with a few big-play shots mixed in to keep them honest.

As far as actual, provocative trolling goes, you get a 0.3/10. Uncreative, boring, totally lacking any type of originality.
-
I know that previous regimes always had the players at a team hotel for home games, but not sure how this group does it.
-
Then beat it. Honestly you add nothing of substance to any discussion (though you've definitely broken the board record for most consecutive posts started with some sort of "lol" derivative, so there's that)
-
Guess how much all of that means for this game. Go ahead. Guess. Zero. Shelf your smugness for a third of a second if you can manage it.

The NE run game has definitely taken a step back without Trent Brown, Isaiah Wynn, and David Edwards, and I can't imagine that they won't feel the loss of Devlin as well. That said, Coach Scarr always seems to be able to manufacture a run scheme that is effective in grinding out yards and keeping defenses honest.

Rewatching the Pats game # 2 last year

Same, but he's been great in coverage and he's an excellent blitzer, so he's not exactly a liability out there. -
If Taron Johnson isn't healthy, Edelman is going to be a problem on Sunday. I don't trust Siran Neal or Dean Marlowe there, so it's probably Kevin Johnson's role to match up. I don't think he's got the short-area quickness to contain Edelman.

His play against the run has been generally lousy thus far this season -
So yeah, congrats on beating three 0-3 teams.

How is this new? It's already been this way for years -
Brutal analysis. Brutal. The 2019 Rams had a better offense than NE's defense. They also had a better defense than NE's offense. But the NFL is a matchup league, so it's probably worth diving JUST a bit deeper than "we're better than you". Otherwise why even play the game? I think that the problem for Buffalo is the matchup of WRs vs secondary. Gilmore will probably draw Smoke and is capable of limiting him significantly. That likely means that Beasley draws a bracket inside and Zay/Foster/Slick draw 1-1s. If the Bills want to score consistent points against NE, they're going to have to hit big plays to their backs and TEs early and often and force NE to adjust.

He's right, and it can't possibly hurt to play the same game as Tommy -
Fine. That's an easy answer to give. Staring menacingly and walking off in a snit is not. Be a decent human. But as we all know, that's too much to ask of Bill.
-
So she should not do her job because he's got a history of not answering questions? Well, I disagree
-
Um, she's a reporter and it was the biggest story in the NFL this week?
-
Well that's Belichick for you. Anytime anything isn't 100% perfect he goes into shutdown mode and simply can't deal with people in any decent manner. I feel like there's a term for that...ah yes, sociopath. That's the one.
-
I thought that I saw the NFL give a special exemption to Tedy Bruschi o be the Referee for this one.
-
Not surprising given that they had a PS QB playing on the road and running an offense that scored 8 points against Buffalo at home with their QB1.
-
And then they can promote from within again and make Wilks the HC!!!

I am getting older and slightly more mature, and for a long time I've been saying that I'm not going to let NE get under my skin. The constant, unrelenting cheating, the smugness, the calls that only Brady seems to get, I'm going to let all of it go and... ...oh eff these guys. I can't stand them. Aside from the cheating and coddling, the fans are brutal. 99% of them have no clue that the NFL existed prior to 2000. But ask them, and they're all "die hards" that have followed the team since 1776. Never mind that they had less than 20,000 people in attendance at games and almost got relocated to Hartford back in the early 90s. They're the only team that could sign Antonio Brown and actually not become less likeable. They knew that he was a jackass when they tampered with and signed him, and now they're going to act all high and mighty because it got so bad that they had virtually no choice but to cut him. They're a-holes. All of them. Go Bills. PS--Rodney Harrison definitely sold steroids to Tom Brady.
