  1. So no more front and center next to Whaley in the draft war room? Get him far far away from football ops. Going for the seventh last place finish in a row.
  2. I Have heard Baltimore ' s owner is a victim of the Colts move and he is against relocation
  3. the answer is obvious. Its winning. Would anyone pay attention to Green Bay if they sucked?
  4. I believe it could work. I would venture many of those who attend games are Southern Ontario and not necessarily Toronto. The teams would also serve a different clientele. A more popular NFL could even create more Bills fans.
  5. it isnt only a rumor... rumors are swirling. Gotta be over
  6. All the negative crap and money involved in pro sports.... But this is what its about. The Kelly/Reed bond greatly symbolizes the bond and draw and purpose of sport
  7. someone hit him with a sharp and heacy rock in his big dumb head.
  8. if you dig, it could actually be a good match up. The Bears were the worst against the rush last year
  9. 6-10 last place for the 7-peat. Same old same old. Alonso is out for the year, QB play is questionable, one injury at LB, OL, or Secondary away from disaster.
  10. Im sure they will be improved, but if the Sabres are a precedent.... they toured the top facilities around the NHL and brought back a collection of the best aspects. The goal is/was to make things as appealing to players as possible. Maybe he will open a special night club for the Willis McGahees of the world who get sick of Applebees
  11. Without Pegula, this would be a lot more intense though and The Trust would be put to the test
  12. It is a very important part of the foundation in building a pro/world class organization. If you look at the facilities now where the players sit and watch film, the technologies, lounge, gym, practice, etc, and compare it to, say the Islanders'. You bet it does play in the decision on where to sign. Just look at the top NCAA Football programs' arms race to get the most cherry gym and player facilities. Its all part of his big vision, which is to make the Sabres into a multi-decade type of Detroit Redwing dynasty One detriment the Bills likely have is a lot of players' facilities is antiquated.
  13. I bet it will leak. I am certain it will. Look at it this way: Since Mr Wilson's passing, we are well more than halfway to those owner's meetings.
  14. so do we have to start over again? RIP Mr Wilson!
  15. Well, I dont want to celebrate or get too giddy yet. Still a lot of unknown ahead.... However, the leaks out of yesterday's developments seem to make it look like nearly a best-case type of day. The best part IMO is the fact that Morgan Stanley scoured the wealthy and couldnt find any willing bidders. If they were having trouble then, it will be tougher now with a $1.3 Billion bid out there. I'd say it is looking very good that Pegula will be the last man standing by the end of August.
  16. Does he like us? Or just want our money?
  17. And I have refuted those thoughts without response time and time again. Less capacity, increased popularity of the NFL, internet/electronic sales. Reselling tickets and the art of perceived demand/reselling. Look at the Sabres. They had good teams in the early 90s too and could never sell out. Now it is perpetual sellouts and waiting lists even as the worst team. The entire event ticket industry has been completely changed over the past 10 years Plus the team hadnt yet regionalized in Rochester or Southern Ontario. I would also be interested to see the number of fans who travelled long distances (including visiting fans) back then compared to now. The Bills "prime" their ticket base with one or two electric seasons, they will need to cap STH. No doubt in my mind 1985 they had 20K some games. That grew into 80K when they were good. No we have 67K on bad days and need to sell 73K
  18. There are nearly 6 Million people in Toronto. They say 16% of ticket holders are canadian, right? That is about 11K people. I would venture a very small percentage of them live amongst the 6 million in Toronto. The 2 teams would serve a different clientele of fan. And the Bills have trouble selling out late games because they have been terrible for a decade and a half with very few meaningful games down the stretch.
  19. why wouldnt the owners want Pegula and the capital he will surely invest in the team out of pocket. AND a team in Toronto, leveraged some provincial and city monies... as well as a new Franchise fee from Rogers, etc
  20. worst game maybe 6-3 Browns... 8-0 Browns in the Blizzard was awful too. 6-3 OT vs Giants Replacement Players in 1987 had to be the worst. Worst watching experience? Probably worse but off the top of my head is the Seattle in Toronto blowout and this season's game at Tampa Bay
  21. This is the man's legacy. The franchise would move to Toronto and carry all the history and records, which Reed is a part of. Also, money. If the hypothetical situation happened, I wouldn't fault any ex-Bill in being involved.
  22. Once St Louis, San Diego, and Oakland are set, it will be announced that the NFL is expanding and they will leverage that to extort what they can out of Toronto/Ontario before they announce that Bon Jovi/Tanenbaum/Rogers are being awarded a franchise
