  1. can you impeach an NFL commissioner? Anyways, Goodell isnt too bad. Selig takes the prize as the worst in major sports. Goodell comes out smelling like trash on a lot of things, but he certainly has the hardest job by far out of Silver, Bettman, Selig, Goodell.
  2. Gotta go with Dogfish Head 90 minute.
  3. Its easy to say... But are NFL players going to be willing to play there? There is a pretty oppressive tax rate for high earners, travel will be much more difficult, far from home, etc...
  4. MLSE/Bonny Bon Bon would need a sugar daddy though, right? No math has them really being that competitive.
  5. it was Candy, McNall, and gretzky. they also bought a honus wagner card I believe The fact is, Toronto is a tough sell on anything that isnt the Maple Leafs. I even went to a Memorial Cup up there and it wasnt sold out.
  6. Blackhawks is a terrible example. One of the best fan bases in the league was literally opressed by Wirtz for a decade.
  7. I loled at "chipmunk faced traitor formerly known as Jaws"
  8. some of Yancey's stuff is excellent/top notch. Especially some of the hotter stuff. A+
  9. Minor league baseball has been wrecked over the past 20 years. All semblance of competition has been stripped away. Just look at milb. Everything is marketed for every single game with the exception of baseball itself. Star wars night, dog night, zombie night, kids day, etc. But never baseball night. It is awful and is eroding the sport in this country
  10. Im with you. It seems we may have somewhat a supply shortage in the future. Many people I am close with have recently had kids and I hear "theyll never play football" a lot. I also dont see other countries putting together any meaningful football programs in the foreseeable future. With that said, is less talent overall necessarily a bad thing? One thing I like about NCAA football is the division in talent and it allows for some breakdowns/variability. In the NFL, everyone is the same. Every team plays generally the same style, and the players are all thoroughbreds and usually just cancel one another out.
  11. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/14/dog-last-day-robyn-arouty_n_5585074.html?ncid=fcbklnkushpmg00000023&ir=Good+News here, if you want to continue the waterworks.
  12. Thought I was the only one... can't watch it
  13. United states bills of Buffalo, NEW YORK. Earth bills of New York and Buffalo
  14. It's a good thing the nfl isn't selling the team then
  15. it would be really cool as Lebron would go from a villian to someone everyone roots for. Returning home to bring a championship to a city like Cleveland would be great.
  16. No its not. Im not into it either. That guy's wife said it was the best concert ever. Me, I have been to 100's of concerts and I could see myself being very bored at the same show, while she would be bored at a lot I would go to... JT is a vocalist (probably very good), not many instruments are played, likely a lot of piped in sound/effects based on the highly produced studio tracks I have heard. Its really not my genre of music. and yeah, overall JT seems like a good dude
  17. see, this is going to accomplish nothing but further break the soul of those poor people in Cleveland. Its also f-ing them over as FAs are signing while they wait. Just make a choice.
  18. if he doesnt "decide" within a day, Im going to start to get really annoyed and angry with him again.
  19. I dont fully trust these buy/sell mogul types that made a ton of money doing nothing but acquiring, manipulation, selling, etc. Local guys who are predominantly made by a business venture like Paychex, East Resources, Delaware North, and Rich Products... Thats by far the most optimal choice. I just feel like that programmed trait of being able to buy for X, then wait out the lease and sell for X+1 Billion would be way too tempting for the Gundlachs, Millsteins, and Trumps of the world I would take my chances with those guys over MLSE or someone obviously desiring to relocate....
  20. On a side note, isn't the aecom report due monday?
  21. I just recovered from a completely torn ACL and MCL. It sucks. Basically, yeah. The most accepted/successful practice for an athlete is to graft off the middle of the patellar tendon, cut notches in the tibia and kneecap along with the tendon, and attach it to make a new ACL and bone heals to bone which creates the strongest bond. This day and age, the recovery from ACL reconstruction can easily be 100%. He will be completely fine long term as long as he listens to the professionals, rehabs correctly and takes care of himself. Both my knees now have the same risk for another incident. He will be fine. These days, you can legitimately be back 4 months after surgery if things all go well. Oh, and you can survive without an ACL, however your knee wont be as sturdy and you would be ultra-prone to a catastrophic knee injury if you played a sport that required cutting. The worst part was the 8 days post surgery. The pain down in the shin was fairly intense when standing up to go to the bathroom. The full leg brace was also a hassle. You also gotta watch what you eat. For an active person to go inactive for a long period of time, while eating the same/worse is a bad recipe.
