  1. So I wonder what we will find out next week, if anything. Im dying to find out what Aecom reported with the Stadium investigation, but apparently that is being kept under wraps. You know Trump will update everyone on whether or not he submits an intention to bid. I would be we will hear Bon Jovi officially submitted one (because it seems everything leaks up there). Other than that I wonder if we get any surprises?
  2. Thats exactly how it would go down. $1 Billion dollar stadium, with demands for the State/County to pay for it all while providing the Bills sweetheart and crippling lease terms. Cant/wont do it? Well, we tried. We feel bad for Bills fans but we will be "an hour" down the road. They are all welcome to follow us! Oh, but Bills doesnt make sense in Toronto, so we will have to alter all that... etc.
  3. 35. I feel like a kid again here. Thanks guys! old folks geriatric center up in here.
  4. Everywhere I worked has people who at the very least fondly look back at those Bills teams and have a couple good stories from watching those Super Bowls and/or were closely connected with a Bills fan(s) at the time.
  5. Agreed on polancarz... He seems to be very vested in the team's future here and he is outspoken against the bon jovi group. Maybe Collins would have come to bat too... but the non relocation agreement was negotiated by polancarz and he seems hell bent on not being the county executive who loses the bills. All other politics aside
  6. the notables from Mr Wawrow's report: Polancarz still seems adamantly anti-Bon Jovi The Toronto firm who looked at sites is meeting with Buffalo next week. Possibly opinion, but purchaser may be identified by late August.
  7. If you read between the lines, it seems like this is what KJ is saying, but its getting mis-read.
  8. watched the video. Really a bad look. It just appears the guy stands there and pees his pants.
  9. If Glenn is out, this season is a huge uphill climb (knowing Alonso is out)
  10. Very early, but this is what the first mock I see has the Bills "missing out" on Cleveland Browns: Shilique Calhoun, DE/OLB, Michigan State http://walterfootball.com/draft2015.php
  11. If you read between the lines, Kirby is agreeing with you.
  12. I like my ticket stubs. I have 99% of my stubs over 30 years
  13. no doubt. thats what has made this futility extra miserable though. I have little doubt that once the Bills are AFC East/AFC contenders, the ticket issue will be "primed" just like the Sabres' situation and people will be grabbing tickets for resale purposes, causing a waiting list and perpetual demand. With the futility, I feared we would never have a chance to get there I think that we do have a right to hold our heads high based on the tickets the currently do sell though. Going for the 7-peat of last place finishes.
  14. que the early 90s comparisons. different time now 20 years later though. How ticketing/flipping is with technology, smaller venue, overall popularity of the NFL, regionalized Rochester and Southern Ontario
  15. I certainly believe that Bon Jovi and friends plan on keeping the team here until the 2020. They will put forth a "good faith" stadium proposal that will almost certainly be shot down, allowing the relocation in 2020 and shifting the blame on us and the politicians. Just initiating that process is a big mistake for the group and the NFL. I feel stronger that the Toronto group is just in it as a courtesy and drive up fear, the bid price, and the stadium conversation... then the NFL will reward them down the line.
  16. if the owners want/wanted the Bills relocated to Toronto, yes.
  17. doesnt the defense normally have a huge advantage at the beginning of camp?
  18. what if they built a state of the are, extra awesome stadium for the Argos to open in 2020?
  19. is this the fact that Bon Jovi wants to own a team committed to Buffalo or the fact that the Trust will not take a Bon Jovi bid at face value as a WNY bid.
  20. I know its not a public bid, but will/would Johnny Bon Bon and his Billionaire pals have any legal recourse if their competitive/higher bid is rejected for reasons of relocation, even though they go on record saying they are staying in Buffalo?
  21. There is a huge difference between believing the sources/info and not trusting Bon Jovi, etc. They both can be correct, no? In order to be eligible to buy the team, they need to do the dance. As has been said, Bon Jovi can walk up to me and tell me to my face he want to be the Bills owner and keep them in Buffalo and I wouldnt believe him. Rogers and MLSE have really got to have zero interest in owning a team and not swinging for the fences with Toronto.
  22. it would get pretty ugly for sure. It is very tough to pre-emptively rip teams who are well and rabidly supported. When Winnipeg, Quebec, Hartford, and Minnesota lost NHL teams, those cities were fairly lukewarm on the NHL and the teams slid out. The NHL could have torn Buffalo out in 2002 and not all that many would raise hell because only like 6K people were attending games.... Cleveland is the main applicable case.
  23. I suspect that the NFL and Bon Joves, etc have a backroom deal. They are going to drive up fear and the sale/bid price, but not successfully get the team. Then down the line when they have their ducks in line for a facility, etc, Toronto, specifically the Bon Jovi group will be first in line for expansion. It is kind of suspect that Bon Jovi stuff seems to get leaked all the time when things are most quiet.
  24. reminds me of these guys http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dnepropetrovsk_maniacs
