I wouldnt hate Batavia, but I just dont see it happening. Itll be downtown or in place IMO. Id be shocked if Pegula buys the team and downtown doesnt happen.

on paper, it seems like a glorious showcase to Western NY and a chance to put something in Niagara Falls USA that doesnt involve producing chemicals or burying waste... I can see why it at least has/had to be considered. But scratching past the surface its just impossible.

Turmoil brewing between Marrone and Whaley?
May Day 10 replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
also remember the earlier reports that coaches were frustrated that management wasnt helping them out with training/conditioning personnel and such... I wonder if there is a thing. Whaley and Brandon carry all the weight, Marrone disagrees with a number of things (maybe including neutering the QB crop so no human on Earth can have any doubt at all EJ is the starter), and insult to injury is the guy who always has to face the media (and he has thin skin to begin with). Who really knows though. Wait and see the 'finished' product on the field before judging. -
how many/what teams didnt opt out of the blackout rule? I thought there were only a couple...

Turmoil brewing between Marrone and Whaley?
May Day 10 replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People actually are fooled by the nix stunt to buy the front office deniability? This organization has been pulling this stunt forever. There is no way brandon, whaley, marrone etc get their shot but sit around and allow the old man to take a shot on a 1st round reach as a starting qb. And then proceed to put absolutely no backup presence or veteran leadership or coaching behind him. If ej turns out bad I'm not buying it's nixes fault. Would nix even be brought up of ej has been good? -
Brandon is obviously only talking about the business side

Its a shame. Lewis showed some real promise last season and had a real opportunity.

IMO Kryk has been right on top of this from day 1. The day to day reporting of numbers and such should be taken with a grain of salt, but procedurally and big-picture, I cant remember anything Kryk has been proven wrong. That Mike Ozanian Forbes guy is the sensationalist "circus shouter" who gets things wrong.

this (these) threads are the authority in Bills sale news as well as quickly collecting and posting any printed info out there. People give conspiracy theories, of course, some people give well thought out theories that make you think. Some silly. Some people impatient or ignorant to the process which is understandable. Its the most important series of events in the history of the franchise. The whole thing is a real testament to TBD. So I see the red star and new posts for the thread thinking a Kryk column, Graham tweet, etc... then seeing days worth of this unfunny "joke" again... its annoying. Especially considering a week or two ago, people were discussing what may happen to Russ Brandon if Pegula bought the team and pages of posts were deleted, people were warned, yet this is allowed? Anyways, its a silly internet argument. I have gone too far.
-
its the same few people who giggle at the same exact joke every 20 pages or so. Its annoying.
-
the only ones who ask are the exact same 2-3 people and they bring it up out of the blue and then 2 pages of very unfunny posts follow.

Update on renovations to The Ralph
May Day 10 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ok, I did: Good afternoon- I thought the renovations look very good and provides a much more pro-feel to the stadium. I also appreciate a video screen now viewable from my Rockpile seats. I was given free tickets to the Van Miller Club on Saturday. The gameday presentation was atrocious and the worst I have experienced in 30+ years of attending sporting events. The speakers. The music and PA were turned up waaaaaaaaaay too loud. Loud enough to hurt my ears which are still ringing today, my wife's ears, and made my son scream and cry. When the ball wanst in play, not one moment was left to any sort of silence on the speakers. The music selection was also an abysmal autotune, undeterminable mess, as are the "sound effects" are very unoriginal and played out. I could not have any conversation with the person next to me, after a few tries. We just had to sit there in silence while getting blasted by over the top noise. After awhile we retreated to inside the club, where many others had retreated and were discussing/complaining about this issue. It was a complete day-ruiner after paying $25 for parking, getting down to Orchard Park, and looking forward to Kid's Day. We could not make it to the end of the 2nd Quarter. If this is how it is going to be and my regular season tickets are this noisy, this will be my last season as a season ticket holder. I cant imagine the clientele who buy club seats will tolerate this either. I see it as much less of an issue comparatively, but the concessions in the Van Miller Club were a complete disaster and it took 15 minutes to get a bottle of water. Thank you for reading (may day 10) -
Aaron Murray may get cut.

Update on renovations to The Ralph
May Day 10 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was in the Van Miller Club. The music was sooooo LOUD and bad. Literally every second play wasnt going on there was terrible music that was ear-shattering. I couldnt even complain to my friends next to me about it because the music was so LOUD! We ended up leaving during the 2nd quarter because it was unbearable. Tried to watch the game from inside the club for awhile then asked ourselves what are we even doing? I thought the renovations were pretty good. The rat-maze in the scoreboard end is a little ??? I think everything makes the stadium look like a pro stadium. I do like that the aux screen shows scores/stats as that was lacking. Love how the other screen shows replays and action as my Seasons are blocked from the main scoreboard which really sux during video reviews. I did not go to a public bathroom or do food, but they looked nice. The wife went to get water and she said the concessions in the club were a giant cluster, nobody knew what was gone and a mob of angry people. Entering the stadium was very easy, but we showed up right at gametime when not many people were heading in. Im not used to the seat location, but I had a really hard time finding the time remaining and down/distances. May have just been the result of sitting in one place 100x then switching for a game. Overall it doesnt matter though. The volume and content and persistence of the "music" destroyed my/our day. If that is how it is, this will be my last season as a STH -
Booing is one way to facilitate change. Worked for the Sabres. IF the team comes out crappy this season and the crowd is ugly, hopefully the new owner knows that the status quo here will not be accepted. I think Marrone was a fool at times when he more than implied that winning preseason games is a priority and important. It unnecessarily raises the expectations and magnifies shortcomings. Especially foolish considering a sheltered playbook and camp fodder playing later in the game. I know for me Marrone's feelings on preseason intensify my worry a bit they look so bad. If they were treated like practice games... then its easier to wait and see. As far as Goodwin. Its fair to comment, but IMO shows thin skin from a pro athlete, is ill advised, and wasnt in good form. Dixon did it much more tactfully and challenged the fans to be more vocal and into the game. Goodwin just sounds like a baby and Im sure he is getting beat up on twitter.
-
When you have management that continually bungles the team for an extended period of time. Booing will occur. Look at the sabres the past 2 years. The crowd was ugly. Once regier was finally canned, things are different and fans are on board with the direction, even though it means being the worst team in the league for awhile longer. The fact that it is Ej and nobody else is maddening
-
We get this same prepackaged crap from this organization year after year after year. The fact they stuck with this kid offensive coordinator, no viable qb option behind EJ (if he is even viable), status quo on te... then we will hear familiar excuses... The cycle is easily recognizable at this point and is no fault of the fans... other than maybe the ones who accept it and always buy into all the front office shuffling. Even then I don't think the org would have done much different. I hope pegula hears us loud and clear and gets into the heart of this. Of course. It's preseason. That game yesterday though was pretty extraordinary.
-
I really hate this team. I hope we get a full enema once the league approves pegula

It's something. Better than nothing for the 1st 3.5 games.
