  1. And who says Cody is out of shape for a NT at 370-380? It certainly didn't hurt him at Alabama when he played in the 360-380 range or when he was at JuCo and he was well over 400. He's a freakish athlete who has been a dominant run stuffer at every level he's played.
  2. I really think he ends up a Bill. What better way to begin the overhaul from being one of the smallest defenses in the league then by drafting the biggest player to have come out since.....well ever maybe! If we don't make a move for a legit NT in FA/Trade then I think he ends up a Bill. When I think of Cody I think of this Nix quote- http://www.buffalonews.com/2010/01/28/9377...at-home-in.html .
  3. Bring back these days with Cody. http://www.nytimes.com/1999/12/11/sports/f...ts-offense.html
  4. I'm not sure why people are so worried about this guys weight. He was playing in the 360-380 range the last two seasons and it didn't hinder him at all. Sure he could gain weight but so could any other fat guy you pick to play NT. The guy is a freak of nature and the Bills should consider trading back into the late first round to get him
  5. Buddy Nix does love those SEC guys... He'd be a great addition to the Bills goalline offense.
  6. So who is the pro comparison to Bulaga? Is he as good as Joe Thomas or Jake Long were coming out of college? Or is he more in the league of Sam Baker or Joe Staley. (all white guys, yeah yeah I know)
  7. Old and slow? Only 5 defensive ends had more sacks than Schobel last year.
  8. Well it certainly is consistent with everything Nix has said in public so far.
  9. Wouldn't this mean that Wilfork and Hampton were allowed to hit the market?
  10. I was thinking a 2nd for Schobel, and 3rds for Lynch and Whitner and maybe and additional 5th or 6th in one of the deals.
  11. I think the Bills will trade back into the first round this year (Barring a Casey Hampton signing). Maybe they take Williams at 9 and trade back into the 1st to take Bulaga in the 15-20 range or vice versa. Watch the Bills stockpile picks by dealing Whitner, Lynch, and Schobel to do a similar trade as what the Falcons did with Sam Baker in 2008 and the 49ers did with Joe Staley in 2007.
  12. Trade Lynch for picks, invest the picks and money in drafting and extending your offensive line. Once we have a top 10 unit we can just keep plugging in mid round picks and mid-tier free agents and ride them for around 1000 carries before we move on to the next back.
  13. This years Bills draft will be described by one word-"heavy". The first 2 picks will be an OT and a NT and around 3 big 3-4 linebackers will be drafted after that.
  14. LOL, We even named it the same thing.
  15. Some decent players have been coming out of D2 lately, Johnny Knox, Bernard Scott, Brandon Carr, Pierre Garcon, Jacoby Jones, Kevin Boss, Jahri Evans, and Daniel Manning.
  16. With Butler retiring there is no chance we don't take an OT at 9. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we trade down if we think Bulaga or Campbell can be had in the teens.
  17. Was this posted before? I searched for "Veldheer" but nothing came up.

  19. I think we'd get something along the lines of what NE gave up for Derrick Burgess- a 3rd and a 4th.
  20. I don't think Schobel will retire but I do think that he wants to play closer to Texas and that the Bills don't think he's the best OLB fit. My guess is that he's reunited with Greggo in New Orleans as Charles Grant's replacement.
  21. During his pre-draft interview with Marv he was asked something along the lines of "How about that center you have down in Virginia" referring to a teammate of his but Butler thought he heard "senator" instead of "center" and started talking about George Allen and John Warner.
  22. Apparently he left a 6 page suicide note. Chilling stuff.
