  1. 200 players slated to become UFAs became RFAs instead-there isn't a whole lot of quality out there.
  2. Here's an incomplete list of FAs the Bills have signed since The Music City Miracle- Chris Watson Larry Centers Dave Moore Trey Teague Chidi Ahanotu London Fletcher Eddie Robinson Pierson Prioleau Mike Hollis Charlie Rogers Charles Johnson Bobby Shaw Mark Campbell Ross Tucker Izell Reese Jeff Posey Sam Adams Lawyer Milloy Takeo Spikes Troy Vincent Dainon Sidney Chris Villarrial Daimon Shelton Kelly Holcomb Mike Gandy Bennie Anderson Robert Royal Peerless Price Melvin Fowler Tutan Reyes Larry Tripplett Andre' Davis Michael Gaines Derrick Dockery Langston Walker Kirk Chambers Rian Lindell Kiwaukee Thomas Jason Webster Bryan Scott Jason Whittle Kawika Mitchell Spencer Johnson Ryan Fitzpatrick Drayton Florence Geoff Hangartner Maybe it's about time for a change in philosophy at OBD.
  3. How did the last decade of overpaying for mid to low tier UFAs pay off for the Bills? Signing Robert Royal, Larry Tripplett, Derrick Dockery, Langston Walker, Chris Villarial, Tutan Reyes, Bennie Anderson, Jeff Posey, Trey Teague, and Melvin Fowler accomplished what exactly for the Bills? With over 200 players who would gave been UFAs this year being forced to be RFAs instead sitting on the sidelines is definitely the right approach this season.
  4. And three years from now Jimmy Kennedy would be one of the main reasons given as to why Doug Whaley should be fired.
  5. If they're mediocre then why are you complaining?
  6. They must have short term memories and have already forgotten the Bills track record at overpaying for mid tier FAs. The players they're clamoring for us to sign now are the players they'll be clamoring to cut 2 years from now.
  7. Kennedy left last night without a contract. http://twitter.com/TimGrahamESPN/status/10427383070
  8. And imagine the expectations fans would have for Watson's production if the Bills were paying him over 4 million per year. If he just maintained the numbers he put up in New England people would be calling for Whaley and Nix's head.
  9. Either Kiper of McShay had Bulaga going to GB at 23-Is this really possible?
  10. Joey Porter left AZ without a contract. Apparently his contract demands are unrealistic. It seems like for the most part teams are taking a 'wait and see' approach to this offseason because of the CBA. I wonder how long before the NFLPA starts complaining about collusion.
  11. Exactly. They need a Ben Hartsock to Nelson's Dustin Keller.
  12. Antonio Bryant signed a 4 year 28 million dollar contract-how is that very reasonable? Ben Watson is a nice player but Shawn Nelson looks like he's developing into a damn good receiving TE. I'd rather stick with Nelson and sign a cheap blocking specialist to back him up.
  13. I just watched the Music City Miracle on the NFL Network and I don't think I saw Big Ted in on any 3rd down passing situations. That's the just the reality of the position, Cody would be asked to clog the middle on 1st and 2nd down and then Kyle Williams can come in on 3rd/obvious passing situations and get after the QB.
  14. http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/v...0f-034b62884ba6 I think he'll sign with the Bills today.
  15. No other visits for Kennedy yet http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/03/12/n...or-kennedy-yet/
  16. Me too. I really liked this guy coming out of college, I can't believe how disappointing his career has been.
  17. He arrived yesterday and his visit is continuing today. http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/...?page=2&c=y
  18. According to "the chart" The Bills 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at least.
  19. Mayock on Path to The Draft just said that TW has really helped himself with the combine and his pro day.
  20. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...-running-backs/
  21. This didn't stop Belichick from trading for Derrick Burgess or Parcells from signing Jake Grove. They weren't worried about filling a need by acquiring a player from a crappy team. This is same logic that many posters were using when they were saying they didn't want Orakpo because he went to UT.
  22. Why not interview him? It sends out a smokescreen (how effective? probably not very) so a team who wants a LT won't be so quick to trade in front of us and Spiller may become a FA or available for trade down the road so it wouldn't be a bad idea to meet with him now.
  23. The Bills can.t win. They didn't sign anyone over the weekend from the worst UFA class in the history of the NFL and people were freaking out. Then they sign a veteran stop gap from the worst UFA class in the history of the NFL and people are freaking out. They needed to sign a RT and their options were ridiculously slim.
  24. Not necessarily. It could be Bell, or Meridith, or a mid to late round draft pick. He might not even make the team ala Will James and Domenic Rhodes.
  25. http://walterfootball.com/freeagents2010OT.php Here's the list of UFA OTs. There's no young upstarts with potential on this list. It's all players with one shortcoming or another and unfortunately the Bills needed to sign one as a stop gap replacement for Butler.
