  1. On NFL Network a few minutes ago Jim More Jr and Jamie Dukes got into it over whether or not the Rams should have made a play for Santonio Holmes or Cromartie and Mora basically said when you're a team that's rebuilding and trying to create a new culture the last thing you want to do is bring these kind of players in because their attitudes are cancerous in the locker room and spread to the younger players and will ultimately undermine the coach because the younger players start listening to the low character guys more than the coach. Lombardi then chimed in and said that their respective teams didn't want them in their locker room and gave them away for practically nothing.
  2. These are the same people who if Miami, NE, or NYJ had made a bold move to trade up and draft Spiller would be lamenting how Bills don't make any bold moves and how unstoppable Spiller will be in the division for the next 5-7 years.
  3. I don't think it will be a QB. The Bills just want to get in front of the OT teams at the top of the 2nd.
  4. I'm not sure if when Buddy said "but he was gone" if that meant Tebow or the player that they wanted? If he means Tebow I bet they were trying to get in front of Indy to take one of the LT prospects.
  5. That acceleration after he jukes the defender on that swing pass is unreal.
  6. Shhhhhh! Don't tell the paranoiacs who were reading Spiller's body language last night that.
  7. He's got that same acceleration from a dead stop after he jukes a defender that Chris Johnson has.
  8. I'm not saying it for certain, just that I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.
  9. Really? Why not? Levitre and Wood will only be better next year. Bell and Meredith are young and talented so they could still blossom, and I fully expect them to pick a talented LT prospect at 41 like Brown, Saffold, or Campbell. We have a new offensive minded coach now which could help. And also the o-line really wasn't terrible at run blocking last year. The Bills actually ranked 9th in rushing YPA last year.
  10. Screw checkdowns. Watch this guy run the Go Route and you're going to faint.
  11. You are overestimating Lynch's value. It speaks volumes that AJ Smith, who desperately needed a RB and has a relationship with Buddy Nix would rather trade up 16 spots in the 1st to pick a RB who has never played a down in the NFL than keep their second round pick and get Lynch for a 3rd or 4th. The market for average RBs who are followed everywhere they go by a cloud of trouble and drama is virtually non-existent.
  12. What about when they came back from commercial but everyone but Boomer thought they were still off the air? You know Boomer reamed the producer after that screw-up.
  13. I bet its Rodger Saffold if he's around. One of the Bills assistants coached him in college and he's considered a high character player. After he verbally committed to Indiana Ohio State offered him a scholarship but he declined because he insisted on honoring his commitment.
  14. Especially with Detroit and SD drafting RBs. How many landing spots does that leave Lynch? Tampa? Seattle? I wouldn't even be surprised if we dropped Lynch today that he would have to wait until a training camp injury for anyone to offer him a contract.
  15. The Bills are rebuilding-you don't rebuild by reaching for needs with top ten picks.
  16. And not to mention the incredible supporting cast of future NFL draftees Bush had while at USC- QB Matt Leinhart QB Matt Cassell RB LenDale White OL_Winston Justice OL Deuce Lutui OL Sam Baker OL Ryan Kalil OL Chilo Rachal TE Alex Holmes TE Dominique Byrd TE Fred Davis WR Dwayne Jarrett WR Steve Smith I'm not an expert in Clemson football but there's no way Spiller was playing with this much NFL talent which makes his achievements all the more impressive.
  17. I just went back on my DVR and watched Gruden absolutely going off in his praise of Spiller. It feels good for a Buffalo 1st pick to actually be praised for once.
  18. I think the Bills curse of drafting headcase RBs has finally been broken.
  19. The Bills OL really wasn't bad at run blocking. They were just one of the worst pass blocking units I've ever seen.
  20. I think he's going to be Eric Metcalf if Metcalf was a better RB.
  21. Roger Saffold, with his connection to the Bills coaching staff, seems to make the most sense.
  22. When Seattle was on the clock Gruden said Spiller was far and way the most talented player in the draft and that he would be a teams "prized possession" when all is said and done.
  23. 20 TDs over 50 yards. The Bills don't need that.
