  1. The guy who I like who we could sign for cheap is FB Justin Griffith, formerly of Seattle, Oakland, and Atlanta. He's a converted TB who when given the opportunity has run the ball very well. Plus he's a very good receiver. http://www.nfl.com/players/justingriffith/...le?id=GRI440073
  2. FWIW Casserly also said that the 2010 first round is the best first round since 1983.
  3. Excelling at special teams doesn't necessarily translate into positional success. Just look at Steve Tasker or Larry Izzo.
  4. Really? What has Wendling ever shown as a safety in the NFL? Leonhard at least looked pretty good starting during the 2007 season.
  5. Corto and Buggs will have to go too, right? Can they play in the 3-4?
  6. I think Schobel and Whitner will both be traded for picks. I bet Schobel gets reunited with Greggo in NO-they're looking to dump Charles Grant, it's closer to Houston, and it's a chance for him to win.
  7. He seems like the kind of guy who's not going to draft a lot of these project players that GM's pick in order to make themselves look like geniuses if they pan out. No frills, just big, strong, tough, productive players.
  8. That's crazy. If the Bills can get a 3rd and a 5th for him I'd say do it. I want to get as many players who have been picked by Buddy Nix on this team as fast as possible. If not I'm ok with keeping Lynch for 2010 and praying he stays out of trouble and has a bounce back year so we can trade him before his contract expires.
  9. Nix is 70 and is probably planning on only a 3 year stint so I wouldn't be surprised of a greater roster purge than we may have anticipated. Time is of the essence for Buddy to put his stamp on this team. I imagine Whitner, Schobel, Parrish, Lynch, and Kelsay will all be ex-Bills before the draft.
  10. I know we went after Cam Wake last year I'm surprised we didn't go after this guy considering the switch to the 3-4. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...fl-sack-leader/
  11. I always liked Griffith. Given the opportunity I think he could be a pretty good power back.
  12. Here's Maybin approximately a year ago. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_eh0jgrX2BFw/SbkS...400/1maybin.jpg

  14. And sign a UFA RB. I like Justin Griffith as a possibility as a power back to replace Lynch. He's a tailback converted to fullback who can catch the ball, runs hard, and doesn't have much mileage on him.
  15. Don't forget his patented move during the rare instances he finds some open space where he does that horrible stutter/juke move that brings him to almost a complete stop so he can slowly move laterally across the field instead of taking the five yards he's guaranteed by continuing up field.
  16. Hilarious comment on PFT on how Giff could be a sign of the 3-4 coming to Buffalo.
  17. If we really did hire an OLB coach then it looks like the switch to 3-4 may become reality after all.
  18. I checked the websites of all the 3-4 teams and Green Bay and San Francisco have inside/outside linebackers coaches (although the 49ers OLB coach is called "Pass Rush Specialist). Miami has an ILB coach but no OLB coach at the moment.
  19. Joe D also said that Dick Jauron would win a Super Bowl one day and that the Bills should only draft players from the Rust Belt.
  20. Remember when the Bills traded down and Chuck Dickerson went ballistic because they passed on Kenyatta Walker?
  21. How well did he play? I know he was injured early on and I didn't hear much about him during the season.
  22. Any word on Guy's replacement or if there even will be a replacement?
