  1. "7) I understand that we needed more pass rush, especially against a rookie. That said, McKelvin is to the secondary what JP Losman is to the QB position. McKelvin has all the speed in the world, but he caught out of position and picked on by a rookie. He will make a play here and there because of his talent but that's not enough. It would be nice to be able to count on him. " Bill, I think this is a very mild assessment of McToast's liabilities....he has zero, I mean ZERO ball skills and even worse awareness. I was literally screaming at the TV while the ball was in the air to Green for McKelvin to TURN AROUND. He has no sense of timing and no body control, such that he literally throws himself at the receiver (or in some other direction) after the catch is being made. I think this nightmare of a CB is going to be a wet dream for all opposing OCs this year..........
  2. Since both the Be-ows & the Pats are in the same Eastern time zone, we won't have to be subjected to having Solly incorrectly tell us the Raiders got up at 5:30am PST every day last week to acclimate them to EST, which he actually said was equivalent to 10:30 eastern........... No Solly, PST & EST are not 5 hrs. apart, they are 3 Did anyone else catch this moronic statement during last week's telecast ?
  3. methinks you're a bit too greedy .....
  4. does anyone have a link to the Eisen/Mariucci recap? I am on NFL.com and I have not been able to find it....would love to hear Eisen's piece .....
  5. Ah yes - labia, err, labrum - I can see the close similarity...(((
  6. Ummm....yeah - you do realize it was meant to be a joke - right??
  7. .....and I should add a big thank you to all those who posted your individual DTV experiences; they helped me in my negotiations !
  8. OK here's how my deal went down: called DTV yesterday - gave them the typical spiel of "I'm a long time loyal customer, considering other options"....they immediately gave me $10 off bill for 12 months, plus $7 off for DVR service for 1 yr = $204, plus an instant $120 discount off NFL Ticket. Told them I'd consider it but it wasn't good enough. Called back today, told them I was ready to walk because they claimed I had not called in to cancel my Ticket auto-renewal due to the strike; they added a immediate $60 credit on top of the $120 reduction for the Ticket offered yesterday. This all happened after 3 occasions where I was put on hold after being told "let me see if I can find anything better for you". So, the net/net for me is this: autorenew price = $324; total of all credits = $384, so DTV is paying me $60 to watch football this year. I am going to call again today to see if I can get the Ticket To-Go rolled in free. Not bad, I would say.....my moral of the story: stick to the 3 "P"s : Persistence, Patience, Politeness (but Firm !!) Good luck to all my fellow ex-pats.....
  9. It wasn't really about anything - Roosevelt was waived and put back on the PS once it was probably deemed fit (ankle injury)
  10. whoop de freaking do ....... what a phenomenal story, it added alot of value to my day -
  11. Given our recent 11 year run of mediocrity & the fact that Buffalo is not a media darling, we should all get used to the fact that we will have to suffer through every network's D team of broadcasters......
  12. glad you heard it as well - it was tough to miss....and I agree with you, I have no idea where the "Jagwire" comes in with some people. Even at the local broadcast level you would think someone would pull Bentley aside & tell him he is completely butchering the name
  13. sorry you fail to see the humor - I've seen posts far more mundane - i.e., numerous OT discussions
  14. .....not sure if anyone else posted this, but listening to Ray Bentley call Saturday's game was painful ........ his incessant malaprop while announcing the "JagUIRES" was brutal and made the broadcast sound like the local show it was, unfortunately. He needs to go back to doing cartoon books with Hamby. The commercials were not much better - at first I thought "blackpeoplemeet.com" was some kind of joke or satire, then almost laughed when I realized it was legit. Don't even ask the question, what about "whitepeoplemeet.com". ......??
  15. Ummm..... That would be "Mendoza"
  16. "Brady" Smith ?? .........haha
  17. It's Bills, damnit, not "Bill's" ......Maddening to read the apostrophe malaprop on a Bills message board - by an adult to boot.
  18. "Bill's" fans may or may not know about football than everyone else, as you so arrogantly state, but before you call everyone out I'd suggest you learn when to use apostrophes and when not to (Bill's, yahoo's.....) - pretty lame. And it's squeak, not "sqeek". Your case may have more merit if you wrote with some sense of literacy.
  19. wow - from the department of boring & trivial irrelevance............
  20. Ummm, you're awake, right?...maybe because the Pats already took Mallett
  21. so this made you "loose" more confidence in the FO? who is really inept here?.......
