  1. doubtful you keep a #1 draft pick as #3 QB, regardless of the arguments about what his real draft grade should have been
  2. I'd settle for 4 in a row ..... oops
  3. On his 53 man roster projection, J Skurski had Mulligan winning a backup TE spot at the expense of M Gray; upon seeing this I nearly vomited my breakfast.
  4. He's being showcased for a blockbuster trade
  5. It sounds like you might be writing from somewhere far away like Kazakhstan......Borat might know. 😉😉
  6. FWIW, it's already a topic elsewhere outside of B-lo: http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2015/8/14/9153931/ej-manuel-buffalo-bills-quarterback-tyrod-taylor-matt-cassel
  7. I did not know this, obviously.....very enlightening. I'm glad I made my stupid opinion b/c it caused me to learn something new today !
  8. thanks for the news flash, though I think I've seen this reminder several times here in different threads
  9. Any potential "mishandling" cannot ever be the root cause of very basic accuracy issues, not to mention staring down receivers and putting them in position to be decapitated.
  10. I get what you're saying in general, but the bolded statement is just a bit of a stretch, IMO
  11. remember the old adage about there's always 2 sides to the story? Geno allegedly baited IK http://sports.yahoo.com/news/details-emerging-fight-broke-geno-141939681.html
  12. the Jests aren't good enough to provide any meaningful intel - plus, it's way too early
  13. repeatedly or reportedly ?
  14. Astro you are the man! so much great detail & context we will never get from a beat (off) reporter. I feel like I'm at the practice when I read your stuff. With EJ, the short pass inaccuracy thing is very very troubling. That kind of stuff is not teachable/fixable IMHO. Either you have it or you don't. Kind of reminds me of the Steve Sax Syndrome. I'm pulling for EJ but I'm curious to see if he even makes the team if he's not the starter. You don't hold a clipboard in this league in order to improve your accuracy and to avoid throwing 5 yes behind a guy.
  15. speaking of roofing companies, this is why Joe B's ceiling will be very low....thank you, well played sir, well played... agreed, when he moved out of the pocket anywhere it was to either a) throw the ball away or b) slide into a coverage sack or 1 yard gain
  16. I disagree; when a guy like Rex comes in and says it will be an open competition, then one or more of the 3 takes that message as an opportunity to elevate his game. Competition should ideally bring to the best; we shall see. And what's the point of anointing a starter in July when you don't have a blue chip, bona fide runaway?
  17. ....or maybe not
  18. would that also mean that ice is cold? Just busting your chops Wayne....)).
  19. everyone heals differently, and a clean, non-displaced fracture w/ no soft tissue damage is not a big deal for a 30 yo. Heck, I'm 46 and just had surgery, and my MD commented he'd love to operate on me again b/c of how fast I healed.
  20. so the talent of the player might dictate the punishment meted out? Ask Tommy Boy how that's working out.....um, not so much. King Roger seems to be sharpening his stance after some bungled disciplinary events (aka Ray Rice). Granted a lifetime ban is not the same as 4 games for Tommy, but Rodge seems to be dropping the hammer to get some cred back with the owners
  21. per the link, rumor is he may never play again according to 3 NFL sources http://nfltraderumors.co/jets-dl-sheldon-richardson-charged-with-resisting-arrest/
  22. To your 3rd point about the Bills committing to a run-heavy offense, PERHAPS it's because of their outstanding QB situation.....just a wild hunch on my part 😉😉
  23. So you're gonna go get the papers, get the papers?
