Pats Fan Nervous to come to the Ralph
BuffaninATL replied to JP's Voice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives

1) big physical & morale booster from having Dareus in there - he has to damn near be salivating already. He also alluded to some dirty crap the Pats have laid on him, so watch out for big #99 creating big-time havoc. 2) minimizing YAC and aggressive tackling by the secondary like the Colts game 3) mess with Tommy Boy's head through multiple looks & stunts; hit him time after time after time. It's what he likes the least, above all else 4) Clean up our run blocking, esp. on the right side. Hopefully the Colts game was more of a communication problem vs. a physical one. We have to dominate both LOS. 5) Open the playbook; I've got to think GRo held some things back in preparation for the Pats game.....a mildly conservative game after the Beeelz went up 17-0 then 24-0 6) Exploit the rookie interior of the Pats o-line

I expressed my opinion that no one should question the use of someone else's time/money; that's an individual decision. And you say sign makers in general are pretty stupid? That comes off as elitist, but I digress. I do agree with you, in general, that most SIGNS (....not sign makers) are pretty stupid, but I give props to those that are clever/witty/funny. Yes, I agree - time to move on.

Game Film is Clear: These aren't the same old Bills
BuffaninATL replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
pretty good article by the Globe, thanks for linking it Yolo; I had to take notice, however, of the following opinion: " Cordy Glenn is an underrated left tackle, and Eric Wood is still one of the best centers in the game." wow - it seems to me that the majority of TBD posters would disagree. My takeaway is that this version of our Buffalo Bills very much appears to have taken on the identity & persona of its head coach. My most vivid example would be the way the Bills secondary tackled any Colts receiver - immediately & violently. -
how about this: I did not say anywhere in my rebuttal to you that you should not express your opinion. You're either really upset about my critique of your post, or are lacking some rudimentary reading comprehension skills. I was poking fun at you by suggesting you might need to get a sense of humor. And I was expressing my opinion, just like you were with yours. Not sure how you've misinterpreted my post, but whatever. Lighten up Francis, and GO BILLS !! and if I was going to the game, I'd make a sign about the ridiculousness of this exchange, something like "someone on TBD thinks I'm an idiot for making this sign - GO BILLS " !!!

with all due respect, it sounds like you need to get a sense of humor. I never thought I'd see a post like yours on this board. I fully agree that the Belicheat. Cheatriots, etc. are played out and sophomoric, but the really creative, funny, clean signs are what separates the few from the masses. Far be it from you, or anyone else, to question how someone might want to spend his/her time & money in the pursuit of exercising creative license. Just my opinion.

WEEK 1 - All 22 Film Review - OLine/ Unforced Error Look
BuffaninATL replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no to nitpick, but you need to re-watch carefully; he really WAS wide open. The ball was snapped at the Bills 49 and the Colts CB chucked Sammy at the LOS, then immediately peeled off Sammy at the Colts 41; and this was before TT's throwing motion started. That CB literally drifted off into the middle of field into some kind of zone, and looked like was out picking daisies. The safety in the Colts cover 2 ran to his left and back toward Harvin's side of the field at the Colts 25. If TT had even glanced at Sammy's side of the field, he would have seen #14 wide open. Agree to disagree, but you're right, it's a nice problem to have. -
WEEK 1 - All 22 Film Review - OLine/ Unforced Error Look
BuffaninATL replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
other notes after All-22 review: Gilmore - most impressive coverage I've seen from him, hands down entire Bills secondary - excellent tackling after catches, limited Colts YAC immensely. Must have been a point of emphasis under Thurman in TC b/c I seem to remember this as an area of weakness from the Bills D Mario Butler - solid backup CB, one pass breakup led directly to INT by AW. So glad Butler stuck w/ team Sammy - was WIDE OPEN, as in left alone down the left sideline, on Harvin's TD catch. P Brown - colossal hit on Gore, which elicited a "whoo" from Solomon in the background. This guy is a MIKE. On the TD run by Karlos, great downfield block by Sammy on the Colts CB - allowed KW to rumble through to endzone Unrelated to All-22 review: Solomon may have set the record for use of some form of "getting to the 2nd level"... Impressed by Dedes & Wilcots overall, though. They are better than they have been and seem to be improving. -
Upon second thought, I would agree with you only in the context that GRo could have mixed things up when he saw the trouble we were having running the ball, esp. up the middle. Not disagreeing with you at all about having high expectations for the team. I certainly do.

To the OP, I think you're overreacting. The problem with the Bills lack of production at times was due to poor OL run blocking and inopportune/questionable penalties. I think you're maybe confusing these factors with Roman's play calls/schematics. Pretty solid season opener IMHO. Some stuff to clean up, obviously, but Roman put TT in a position to succeed, and I can't find fault with that.

To the bolded: because Boobie has a role on ST You make it sound like zero catches for Sammy (yes, he had 0, not 1) is his fault - ("low production effort"); not exactly. Was a combination of other factors, i.e., not getting targeted enough, defense took him out of the game, QB missing a progression, etc. Seems like a bit of an overreaction to say "not going to get down on Sammy." Other comment: what's the over/under on Solomon alluding to "getting to the second level" ?......

I wish the CBS broadcast would spend more time showing the lead up to the team running out of the tunnel.....seems like we only get a mere glance of it, if at all. IMO, it would make for a more compelling opening to the broadcast.

thanks Slim Jim ....)) here's to drinking a lot of Schmitt's/Gay today while celebrating a Bills upset !!! My prediction: Bills, 31-24.

I thought Fluellen got axed as part of the IK re-signing, or did I miss something?

Week 1: Colts' Game Preparation - Are You Ready?
BuffaninATL replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
or it could be one of singular focus. Depends how you look at it. -
it's gotten to the point for me that if the Bills were not in the NFL, I could care less about watching any other pro team. It's a watered-down, commercial-driven, money making enterprise that has become laughable.....how? as many others have pointed out, the actual game time versus commercial air time is insane; dubious officiating which seems to be in cahoots with the Vegas point spreads zero integrity and poor leadership by a commissioner who is so inept, the only reason he still has a job is that he has made the owners an assload of money asshat owners like Jerrah Jones, Snyder, Bob Kraft idiotic pregame shows which annually try to out-do each other with he most ridiculous props and ex-players/coaches who have no business being on TV the Cheatriots.....need I say more? While boarding a flight for Hartford today, I stood in line behind a d-bag wearing a Grogan jersey and I felt like punching the smirk off his ugly mug the time I waste on Sundays; at least college Saturdays are worthwhile http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/07/23/nfl-most-hated-dan-snyder-bill-belichick-percy-harvin

Brandon Spikes and Mike Williams Suspended by NFL
BuffaninATL replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
?? is this a question with a name at the end, or a statement alluding to Alan Branch? what did he do? Last I saw, he was placed on the NFI list.
