NE is a great team, but it is a little fishy how they manage to stink up a first half and then dominate in the second. Yeah they make good adjustments, but I wouldn't be surprised that there were other advantages not sanctioned by the league. Tom Brady will win more than just about any NFL quarterback, but he will be hard to remember because 1) he has no personality and 2) his strenght is threading the short passes to great TE's. My grandson will ask me if I remember watching Tom Brady. I'll say, "not really".

If Nick O'Leary is there for us in the 2nd round, I say take him. He's a bit slow, but gets open and catches everything.

The OP forgets that we had to face Marino twice a year and Elway and Moon in the playoffs. The long ball came plenty. Amazes me how anyone can compare Winston to EJ. EJ excelled because he was always a threat to run. Take that away like Marrone did and you have a guy with 50% of his game. Winston is a classic pocket passer and is not all that mobile. He really needs more time in college to straighten out a lot of things.

Hardly. Winston is top 5 talent, but raw in the mental game. He should stay at FSU one more year - and just might. The media made way too much of the off-field stuff and even made some of it up, apparently. The kid is big, tough, and can make the throws. He will do well.

Winston might stay at FSU for another season. I think with another year of learning the game, he would be as close to can't-miss as you get.

And 4 people the Bills can replace. None of them were indispensable or even all that good at their jobs. There are over 300 million people in the U.S. There has to be 4 good ones that will jump at this opportunity. TP didn't build a multi-billion dollar business by accident. He needs to learn the ways of sports franchises, but he seems pretty smart.

FSU had some trouble on the OL until Erving was moved to C. I think he really took to that position well and should be developed further at the next level. He has the makings of a good one.

That's why it's a difficult task. Others will be hiring quickly. You have to move pretty quickly, since dragging it out will prompt your top candidate to say "to heck with you guys, I'm going with ___" Still you have to interview everyone you are interested in and have a good meeting on it.

If Schwartz gets passed over, count on him interviewing somewhere else.

Yeah, I have a decent feeling about Schwartz, but I'd like to know what happened in Detroit. Was he a lousy manager of people? Did he have no sense for the offense and try to mess with it? It would be the best thing for continuity, but there are big questions to be answered.
