  1. Just trying to manage expectations at this point lol
  2. I was big on him at first, but when I started looking into his performance, it's been average at best or below. The fact he's making $6 million more than Knox doesn't make any sense to me other than it's his last real opportunity in the NFL, and it's going to be in Jacksonville.
  3. He had three seasons with Manning and two with Daniel Jones, he had two seasons where he caught less than 60% of passes thrown his way, one from Manning and one from Jones. This is while the Giants had guys like OBJ, Golden Tate, Sterling Shepard, and Darius Slayton. He's not worth $9 million a year, he's probably worth half that, Jags pay a premium for FAs to come there.
  4. Got it now, thanks to all 5 responses! 🙏
  5. Wouldn't cutting Star save us over $9m in cap space?
  6. As of today, Friday morning, aren't we officially under the cap with the roster moves the last few days? Or are we close? Last I thought I understood we were only $2m away from being under on Wednesday.
  7. Hey folks, just wanted to point out that I took nearly a two-week break from this board while traveling and this thread is STILL being discussed.
  8. So our former OC who was clearly attempting to take credit for Josh Allen's level of performance probably didn't get along with McD? But as soon as rumors started up about Daboll leaving, Allen was quick to say he wanted Dorsey. Yeah, sorry, I'm not really bothered by any of this. If McD was that bad, Dorsey would have left.
  9. I wonder if the Dolphins will pay the Bills $100,000 every time we beat them. We could use that for an edge rusher.
  10. Tbh i just like this post. The way it starts out. I cut out some redundant parts but all of his points are accurate. Including the crowbar and Allen being figured out. Mostly it will come down to who can rattle him and Josh has got the most ice in his veins. The only question I have is it players or schemes on defense the Bills are missing? To me, I didn't think the Bengals defense was outstanding. I do think they had a better pass rush and couldn't tell if that was just from blitzes or their players, hadn't watched any of their games.
  11. I think Josh has proven even in games where he's not throwing well, he can still take control and be impactful. Look at the Falcons game, he has a horrible day throwing, but scores twice with his leg, and could have gotten 100 yards if he wanted to. I think his long-term success will come down to how well he's able to play both sides and faking teams on it. The key IMO will be his offensive coaching staff and their ability to detect and make adjustments as the game progresses, and his weapons of course.
  12. The rule applies to coordinators, have to interview a minority candidate for OC or DC.
  13. No I'm not serious about the curses, lol, that was pure sarcasm. Again though, I don't think McD choked. Reading the tea leaves, reviewing the game twice now, seems like they did want to squib it. The defenders stopped at the 40 and 30 looking at the sideline like "I thought we were squibbing this". Sounds like the execution comment is about trying to not throw Bass under the bus. Still horrible calls defensively and I would be fine if Frazier is fired. But McD has shown a pattern of making progressions, I just hope he really takes this loss and overcompensates for it going forward. Communication does really come down to the HC setting that tone.
  14. So you want to start calling names like a child and blame all those losses on McD? Not emotional or irrational at all, nope. Have a good morning! ☀️
  15. Maybe the reason the Bills lost is because they're cursed. Maybe the reason isn't McD, the Pegulas, Ralph, RJ, or anything other than we're cursed. Maybe that's why we lost the AFC championship in the late 80's, and the cause of wide right, and the 4 Super Bowl losses, and the Jax Wild Card loss in 96, and the Miami fumble at the goal line in 98, and the forward lateral, the 2004 Steelers loss, and the 2009 MNF Patriots loss, and the 2014 missed playoffs, and the 2017 loss to Jax in the Wild Card, and the 2020 AFC championship, and the god forbidden 13 seconds game! OMG 😱 It's more than McD! We gotta nuke the whole team and Orchard Park. Come on guys. Use your brains. Football is a 60 minute game. We've never had as good of a team as we do now, so STFU, sit back, and chill. We got a great team that could last nearly a decade. Get ready.
  16. I said hairsplitting, not hairspitting. You even quoted me so you had a chance, and you blew it. You definitely make as many mistakes as you claim McD does. Have a good night! 🙏
  17. All your hairsplitting is cool and all, but the facts are as an NFL HC he's made the playoffs 4 out of the last 5 years, one of those years without Josh Allen. His record in the 1st 5 years as an NFL HC is pretty identical to Reid and Belichick. To say he's never going to win a ring at this point in the road is pretty short-sighted IMO. Are you saying he's just gotten insanely lucky these last 5 years? I mean, that's some luck if so. And if that's what you're saying, I'd still ride this luck lightning of his! ⚡ I never said the last 13 seconds were managed correctly, but I don't think that alone is what cost us the game. I don't think Jerry's logical in calling McD a choke artist either. And I have noticed Jerry has made more attempts at sensationalism since he left the Buffalo News, and he's clearly done it to try to remain relevant.
  18. Seriously bro? Hill didn't just slice through our defense and leave them in the dust? Kelce doesn't have more experience than Knox? We called excellent plays in the 1st half? We took advantage of Mathieu going out in the first quarter? We didn't lose a coin toss? Where's the spin? Use all the anecdotes, questions marks, misspelled words, and old adages you want, it definitely makes you look more unemotional and rational.
  19. I agree the management of those 13 seconds was bad, but my point is there were a lot of spots IMO that were bad that could have changed the outcome of the game too. I'm glad you brought these up, I think McD has made progressions and will learn from this. I'd be 100% fine with Frazier leaving.
