  1. I think if you have never seen the movies before, watching them IV-V-VI-I-II-III is the way to go. Then, once you've done that, watch them again I-II-III-IV-V-VI.
  2. Larry Johnson got his last week and the Chiefs scored 3 points.
  3. I had the dubious distinction of never having seen ANY of the SW films in their entirety before this year. When Sith came out, I decided to rectify that problem. I went and bought the trilogy package plus Episodes I and II. I watched Episode IV and part of V on Friday night. I watched the rest of V, VI and part of I on Saturday night. I finished I and watched II on Sunday, then went to see III in the theater on Sunday night. Six movies in about 48 hours. Pretty cool, actually.
  4. No place is a great place to catch a game if you lose!
  5. The game you're talking about was in 1998.
  6. I believe it counted as two hits for Bruschi... one when he got flipped and the other when he hit the ground.
  7. Well I don't know. After all, he's been playing right tackle for eight years, so to expect him to do this job with only one week of practice may be asking too much.
  8. I remember Jimbo used to take shots like that... and then go back in two plays later and throw touchdown passes. I recall one particular play against the Jets, I think it was, when he took a huge shot and wobbled to the sideline. A play later he came back in, double-pumped, and hit Billy Brooks for a 30-yard TD just before halftime. After the game Kelly admitted that the entire left half of his body was numb when he did that.
  9. I see some maroon has already bid $52 for it.
  10. Even worse news for the Jets -- Fiedler is throwing again and should be only a couple of weeks away.
  11. That isn't good enough for the Great Tedy Bruschi. Who's this joker Lombardi anyway and why is his name on the Super Bowl trophy? It should be the TEDY BRUSCHI Trophy.
  12. He also initially tried to say that the second ball to Evans was overthrown and the announcers did everything they could to get the Chiefs to challenge it while the medics were working on the security guard. Eventually he had to admit it was a great throw.
  13. There's no group of opposing fans that's classier in general than Chiefs fans, and you're an example. The M a s s h o l e s could learn a lot from you guys. And hopefully the Chiefs will learn the Pats good next week.
  14. I agree. He should save that kind of stuff for Brady.
  15. And they look alike too. I didn't even think about that until you mentioned it, Rock. Now it makes those jokers look even more ridiculous.
  16. Actually, I'll stick up for Randy here. He said "Some guys wrap it up and give it to the equipment manager, but Baker tosses it to a fan." Then Cross and Harlan started going on about how the guy Baker tossed it to was probably related to Baker. Aside from all that, though, Cross is a grade A moron.
  17. You got that right. "LET'S GO FLOOOTIE! LET'S GO FLOOOTIE! [pokes neighbor in ribs] We're gonna see some FLOOTIEball, eh? [lights cigarette] LET'S GO FLOOTIE! [opens seventh smuggled can of Molson]" That was my neighbor back in '98 and '99. I don't suppose there are any pictures of him. Hell he probably hasn't been back since 2000.
  18. I'm jealous. I leave for DC tomorrow on bidness and will be in Baltimore all weekend after that. On the plus side, I have lost 15 lbs in the last two months, mostly from giving up junk food. Doesn't mean I'm giving up Nick's, though. Have fun, guys.
  19. Perhaps those who would push him for mayor should stop to realize that he has never actually LIVED in the city of Buffalo. County executive or congressman, maybe. Hell this is an area that elected Rutkowski and Kemp. But not mayor.
  20. And it looks like your vote mattered.
  21. 1. It was the Pats. 2. It was in New Bruschi (We're not worthy!). Seems pretty clear to me why Dungy wouldn't challenge unless he had rock solid reason to do so, and even THEN it would be a risk.
  22. Exactly -- if he takes a timeout and loses the challenge, he burns two timeouts right there, doesn't he? I was ready to go off too when they said "down by contact" and the announcers added that it wasn't reviewable. Took the refs long enough to get together and make the right call.
  23. Not sure if this was mentioned elsewhere but did y'all catch the announcers muttering about Reggie Wayne's touchdown catch in the second quarter? "Oh, I don't know if that was a catch... you can see the ball still moving... he brings it in but where is he in relation to the end zone?... Oh I'm surprised that one didn't go upstairs..." Christ. That was a catch, easy. And yet Al and John were practically begging Belichick to challenge it. Not like last week when the ESPN guys declared Branch's catch legal and showed all of one angle. I fell asleep in the second half, so I didn't see Troy Brown's "touchdown" live. Did the announcers express as much doubt about that one as they did about Wayne's? Did they express ANY doubt? I was surprised Dungy didn't challenge it, but I guess he had enough confidence that his offense would score again to put the game away for good, and they did. One other thing. It's obvious that ABC/ESPN took enough flak over The Tedy Bruschi (We're not worthy!) Show last week that they totally downplayed it this week, isn't it?
  24. Thanks, man. We've been very impressed with the staff at Kennedy Krieger so far. The ironic thing is that my mother was a blue baby and had her surgery at Hopkins in the early 1950s (done by Dr. Alfred Blalock, whom Alan Rickman played in Something The Lord Made). So if it wasn't for Hopkins, my mom wouldn't be here, I wouldn't be here, and my daughter wouldn't be here. Weirdly it closes the circle, as it were. And we have no connection to Baltimore other than Hopkins. I will give a shout if I'm ever able to get out for a game. Thanks again!
