  1. You know, the annoying thing is that at the Hall they have a display -- or at least they did the last time I was there -- for each NFL team listing the HOFers who played for them. It sticks in my craw that when Thurman gets to the HOF, he's going to be listed on the Miami board as well as on ours.
  2. Props to P-Diddy for coming here and taking his lumps. Of course, if Ramius didn't know where he lives, I'm not sure we'd have heard from him yet.
  3. What time are you picking me up tomorrow morning, Rock? Have a good time!
  4. That's all I needed to know. Thanks!
  5. Amen. Carlin does a routine in one of his recent albums about how you'll be in a crowded place like a bus or something and you've just got to rip one. "So you let out a little test fart... about five to ten percent of the actual fart. And it turns out to be a fart that could strip the paint off a footlocker."
  6. One thing I realize that I've really missed is hearing Jeanneret on NSA while driving around at night in Rochester. If I had to make a Wegmans run or whatever during a game, I knew I wouldn't miss much. Now they're on WGR, which you can't get in Rochester at night. Anyone know if there are any plans to broadcast the Sabres here on the radio? (I know you can get the broadcasts at Sabres.com. Doesn't really help me in the car.)
  7. Jesus Chalkie did some Ducks fan ACTUALLY propose the trade in your sig?
  8. Amen. Nice to see a professional sports team back in Buffalo finally.
  9. Link that works
  10. What does that make Sunday then?
  11. That sounds an awful lot like his old boss, Greggo.
  12. Duke Jupiter. Carroll's. Batting cages with Iron Mikes instead of JUGS machines. Don & Bob's. Roseland Park. J.M. Fields. Electronic store maps at Wegmans. Three dollar general admission seats at Silver Stadium. The stage at the south end of the War Memorial. The Rochester Zeniths at the Dome Arena. Glenn Hagan. The Rock-a-Plane at Seabreeze. Midnight "Rocky Horror" at Panorama Plaza.
  13. To me there's just something about Rita Cosby, again in that MILF-y sort of way that was referenced earlier. I've noticed that whenever she stands next to an interviewee, she stands with her side to the camera, facing the interviewee, and arches her back... to great effect.
  14. Exactly! Especially the part where you say "I was never a Bills fan because they were always a joke" and only AFTER the SB run do you start referring to the Bills as "we."
  15. Burroughs took the penalty in the 1988 AFC title game against Cincy. That's also the game where Bruce got that BS roughing the passer flag on the first series, saving the Bengals' drive. 1981 is where Fergy forgot how to tell time.
  16. The best part about all this is I know you'll be back next Monday to eat your crow. Ramius will make sure of it.
  17. Beautiful game, beautiful memories. Fergy went for 419 yards if I recall right. Here's an article about the game -- from a shocked Florida writer at that! I love this part:
  18. This is exactly what I saw too. I'm pretty sure JP let the ball go before EM rounded off his route, but he should have read the safety and seen the same thing EM did. Now I'm starting to think that Josh Reed was right in the Texans game when JP was reaming him out.
  19. Of course we do. One of them took a penalty that negated Freddie Smith's punt return and, since that wasn't enough, fell down in front of McGee and tripped him up at the end of his big kickoff return. That was the sum total of Mark Campbell's contributions yesterday, folks.
  20. And this year we get the Jests after playing the Dolphins, whereas last year we had to contend with New England coming in. No reason why we can't be 3-3 after six games with a 2-0 division record. Also no reason, given the way we played yesterday, why we can't be 1-5.
  21. The Fish were a good cure for what ailed us last year when we were 0-4. Here's hoping they have the same restorative powers next Sunday.
  22. They change the rules without my knowing about it? I didn't know you can get convicted of a crime in a civil trial.
  23. That, and no one did the hard count better. It got to where whenever we had a third-and-three or a third-and-four, one of the best plays in our playbook was Kelly drawing the D offsides. I loved that.
  24. Kelly against Miami, opening day 1989. Kelly against the Jets, 1990 and 1991. Those are just the ones that spring quickly to mind, and there were many others. Tell you what he was REALLY good at though: getting the ball back with a one-score lead and seven minutes on the clock... and never giving it back to the other team.
