  1. That's most generous! To be honest the reason I'm going to be in Baltimore the next several weekends is that my daughter is in the pediatric feeding disorders clinic at Kennedy Krieger (Hopkins). She has multiple food allergies and is doing quite well but we are looking for every avenue that will help her to eat what she isn't allergic to ... My wife and son are with her. I have to work to pay the bills (and keep our insurance) but I will fly down every weekend. So you can see why (1) I was looking for a place in the city and (2) I will probably not be able to see any games live anyway. I will most likely DVR the games, stay away from televisions and radio, and watch them when I return home late Sunday nights. Thanks all for the info, and thanks R.Rich for the offer!
  2. I'm looking for a place to watch the damn game, not to TALK to these people.
  3. I know, I know, I could look at the Bills Backers Forum. I did. I only saw the one about the BB of Central Maryland. Is there any place in B'more proper where folks get together to watch the Bills? I will be there just about every weekend between now and the end of the year. Any info much appreciated. Rico? Thanks!
  4. You bastard.
  5. Of course, you may end up needing one of these, particularly if you're on a flight to DC and they make you stay in your seat for the last 30 minutes.
  6. For me it's the landing. Particularly here in Rochester, where (1) there's always low cloud cover and (2) half the time you have to swing out over the lake, come in low over downtown, and land from the north. Sometimes the ATC guys will swing you out over the lake, come in from the north, and then change their mind and tell you to land from the south instead. Man does that suck, especially when you're 1,000 feet up and still can't see the ground.
  7. And, as Moulds said, the New England player (Samuel) even admitted to him that they "got away with one there." Give Samuel his props for saying that, at least. Six years later and Brett Hull still isn't admitting that it was no goal.
  8. Not Rob Schneider's Makin' Copies guy on SNL? "Randeeeeee. The grreat Randeeenoooooo. Rrrrrandomly selected for your listening pleasuuure." "Hey, that's a new one, I like that." "Randeeeeee. Liking the new oooone."
  9. They were probably upset that the announcers weren't blowing Brady as much as their contract says they have to.
  10. What a crappily written blurb too. His "rein"? No mention of his time with the Redskins and his return to RWS in those colors, either. RJ=RJ
  11. was he an owner who changed the world? Seriously, though, RIP. A good guy whom I wish had half as many Super Bowl rings as he did.
  12. When TD hired Cowher, he was a neophyte without any head coaching experience.
  13. Run-DMC should be eligible in a year or two... and aren't they the King of Rock?
  14. I saw Def Leppard play a gig at the State Fair in Syracuse a year ago (the State frickin' Fair... how the mighty have fallen). I was in the front row and it rocked. They started with the entire A side of "High And Dry" and then, of course, played everything else. As far as I'm concerned, Def Leppard was the only good thing about junior high.
  15. What recourse do we have if JSP fails to post the BOTD by 2 pm?
  16. The worst NFL stadium I have ever been to is Texas Stadium, hands down. That place is a complete dump. And the frickin' hole in the roof is just stupid. Of course, I have only been to Arrowhead, the Meadowlands, FedEx Field (or whatever it's called now) and the Ralph for football games. I've been to the Stick, the Oakland Coliseum, the Vet, Three Rivers, RFK, the old Cleveland Stadium, the Kingdome and Busch for baseball though.
  17. Which team plays in a market five times larger and has a stadium with five thousand fewer seats?
  18. Fifteen posts and not one link to an actual screenshot from the ad that sparked all this drooling? For shame. By the way, I'm with Gavin. It's the shirt.
  19. Have you forgotten that he beat the Jets 30-28 with a last-second field goal (albeit a chip shot since Bledsoe got the Pats down to the Jets' 6 with three seconds left) in the 1999 opener? Or that he beat the Colts with a 35-yarder with 23 seconds left in the next game, leading to his being named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September? Or that he set a franchise record with 25 straight FGs during 1996-97 with Bledsoe at quarterback? Or that his FG% in the five seasons with Bledsoe at the helm was 80.5, surprisingly close to his 81% career average? Or that he beat Jacksonville with a 40-yard kick in OT in 1996, his rookie year? Or that he was AFC Special Teams Player of the Month in October 1998? Or that in 2000 he beat the Bills with a 24-yarder in OT? All of this happened before Brady set foot on the field. The man has been clutch pretty much from the get-go. You can argue that his greater recognition of late has been due to Brady arriving in 2001, but I think it's more that Belichick arrived in 1999 and made the team better, giving Vinatieri the chance to kick meaningful FGs deep into the playoffs instead of just during the regular season. Can you honestly tell me that -- completely excluding the quarterbacks -- the Pats of 1996-2000 were as talented (particularly on defense) as the Pats of 2001-2004?
  20. One very exaggerated Southern drawl.
  21. One wonders if it might not be better to save him for the NE game rather than give Belichick a whole game film of Roscoe to study. Alternatively it might be good to get him in there against Oakland just for a few plays to get him acclimated, but really take the wraps off him in two weeks.
  22. I bet the guy on the Falcons whose career Jimbo ended wishes Kelly had run to the other side of the field after his interception. Then again, Bulger's no Jimbo.
  23. When we start a Bledsoe Blowers Board, can we also start a Brady Blowers Board?
  24. Well, thanks to HIPAA you and I will never know. He wouldn't be the first guy to claim he was healthier than he really was in order to get back on the field, would he? And the Pats wouldn't be the first team to paint an inaccurate picture of a player's health, would they?
