  1. Ok Brunell doesn't believe Brady. Nor does Bettis.
  2. Hard to believe, but when he was coming out of U-Dub, he was the smart one compared to Billy Joe Hobert.
  3. Ah there we go. "I'm not a conspiracy theorist. I have no explanation for it."
  4. 12.5 is perfect, but I wouldn't notice any difference if it was more or less!
  5. Love the question. MLB players notice an ounce of difference in their bats. (And I'd argue they notice even less.) But Brady doesn't notice a 15% decrease in the ball's firmness.
  6. So much for a prompt and thorough investigation.
  7. I think he's ready to cry now
  8. You can tell this is really burning his ass now, having to answer these questions.
  9. Yep. I'm watching without sound, with captions, and his body language says it all.
  10. "I believe in fair play." Any time anyone tells you how much integrity he has, check your wallet.
  11. Yep. This is all going to be on the ball boy.
  12. Brady's PC is now at 4:15 instead of 3:45. Guess Deflatriots aren't done ... ahem ... leaking. Is that league average for the rest of the league, or for the league including Deflatriots? Because if it includes them, then the average for the rest of the league is even worse than 1/105 plays.
  13. And a conveniently-timed article on how the Super Bowl balls will be handled by a neutral party. You know, like how they always are. All designed so the casual fan will think "oh. they fixed the problem. moving on."
  14. And this report comes out right before Tommy Foulmouth's PC. If you don't believe everything today has been scripted in advance by the Patriots' (and maybe the NFL's) PR folks, I don't know what to tell you.
  15. People who ask why they don't already allow the balls to be 10.5 psi are missing the point, which is that they are NOT allowed to be 10.5 psi. If you don't like a rule, you need to get it changed. Until then it's still the !@#$ing rule. Case in point: 1999. Not long after the No-Goal, I asked a friend in the league (who later played for the Sabres) what he thought. His response: "It's a stupid rule. But the way the rule was written, it's not a goal." How about getting pulled over for driving 70 in a 55? Try telling the cop you think the speed limit should be 70 there. Same thing here. Right now, the rule exists, and it was broken. Period.
  16. So when is Tommy Foulmouth's press conference?
  17. Next step is for Brady to say HE knew nothing about it and that the equipment boy went rogue. And then for Kraft to set the kid up for life. Nothing to see here, folks. Move right along.
  18. Holy christ I can't believe people are actually equating the Rodgers comments to what the Patriots did. The only way it would be equivalent is if the Packers had someone inflate their balls past the legal limit on the sidelines after the refs inspected them. Of course, HOF will say "you can't prove that didn't happen." What the !@#$ ever. Some of you people just have no clue.
  19. Ah yes, the old prove a negative ploy again. You don't know that what they did was illegal. Everything I've read has suggested that quarterbacks like softer footballs, and if they get one that's really soft, they won't throw it out. Just like most pitchers won't throw a scuffed baseball out of play. It's the act of doctoring a ball outside legal parameters that's at issue here. None of the quarterbacks has said "I had my footballs deflated to less than the minimum psi during a football game, after the referees had certified them as acceptable."
  20. Even though it is against the rules. And you're jumping to conclusions when you say he knows referees turn a blind eye to it.
  21. Does anyone besides you seriously think that Bill Belichick, whose attention to detail and control-freakishness has been well-documented (and indeed celebrated) over the years, would not know that this is happening? I don't think Tommy takes a dump without Belichick's permission, let alone his knowledge. And yes, by definition two people can be a conspiracy.
  22. Mark Brunell said this morning he could throw an underinflated ball 10 yards farther. Edelman probably doesn't have the largest hands, either, and remember the NFL ball is slightly larger than the college ball.
