  1. "Not gonna lie..." Just say whatever the thing is!
  2. He was a constant inspiration to those who do their jobs just well enough to not get fired. Seriously though, a decent backup type player who can't be blamed for the lack of depth that made him a starter all those years.
  3. Louie is an absurdist tragedy about a comedian. CK is so funny that you can't help laughing once in a while, but I wouldn't call it a sitcom by any stretch. GREAT show.
  4. This poor kid who lived on my block got brain cancer and eventually succumbed. Rian Lindell must have visited him once a month for about 5 years. I'd see them tossing a ball around the front yard or even out bowling. There's nobody in the league I respect more.
  5. You don't like the fact that it's a football position (which I agree with), or you don't like the kickers themselves?
  6. Life as a House was terrible. I had forgotten all about it until now. What's surprising is that Kevin Kline (who earned the nickname Kevin Decline for his meticulous choosiness) would involve himself in such dreck.
  7. I recently (a few days ago in fact) acted as Stinky Holloway in a rendition of what's generally recognized as the worst play of all time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moose_Murders The playwright, Arthur, is a good friend of mine and probably the sweetest man in the world.
  8. I especially love that the coach would have put him in during a close game as well.
  9. I always wonder whether these lists are meant to reflect greatness based on modern sentiment or "great in their own time". To draw an analogy, Babe Ruth is probably the greatest hitter of all time but if you put him in the game today he'd be blown away. Things improve over time and that includes comedy, but can we really equate friggin How I Met Your Mother with M*A*S*H?
  10. Hell, if it's -40 I would park on a handicapped person.
  11. I'm watching it, but Kevin Bacon isn't here.
  12. Same here. Or using "definitely", "absolutely", or "without question" when the issue is far from definite, absolute or without question. There's such a huge chasm between having confidence in your argument and pretending as if there is no argument.
  13. He's done nothing in the NFL to think he's worth anything, because he plays behind an unimpeachable starter. What makes any of the QBs in the draft more proven? I'll say it again - if Mallett was dropped into this draft class, he wouldn't last til the second round.
  14. I'd do it. He's essentially a more seasoned prospect, with the benefit of studying a couple years under Brady. If you put him in the draft, he'd probably be a first rounder. Question is, would the Pats actually make that trade inside of their own division?
  15. Ha, seen those. They're not as bad as the actual Honor Student ones, but still a "look at me!" thing. There's a time and place for making a display of one's personality, and I just don't understand why so many people think the morning commute is that time and place. Driving is a venture of utility. I think I'm sensitive to it because here in Ithaca there's an average of about 5 on each car. Green eco vegetarians for world peace! Hands off my uterus! I get my crunchy granola at the Organic Mule Poop Farm! COEXIST! Bush lied, Millions died!
  16. I know we covered the stick figure families, but pretty much any bumper stickers.
  17. He's played 26 out of 32 games the last 2 seasons. I'd guess that's above average for an NFL starter.
  18. 5 years. Not that your point doesn't stand.
  19. And 33 years later, hockey is the 7th most popular sport in America. Thanks Gary Bettman!
  20. Are you seriously this poor with punctuation?
  21. In 8 of his 12 games last year with Tennessee, Patterson recorded 3 or fewer receptions. I'm not doubting his physical potential, but most draft-worthy players will look dominant in a highlight reel.
  22. Right now the teams are in the same spot, but the Sabres are typically competitive even when they're not contenders. This season is the aberration and frankly I doubt that they'll finish in the cellar of the division.
  23. Amusing at first, but that's the very definition of beating a joke to death. There's more to British humor than fops and dandies.
  24. It's cool that the family found humor in it. Sometimes death is tragic, but a lot of the time there's equal cause for fondness and laughter.
  25. Could we package Aaron Williams with a 5th rounder and land Brady?
