A lot of guys made one big play yesterday while Kincaid and Shakir carried the water. I laud their contributions. It's all well and good, except that we're still missing the equivalent of that Josh to Diggs connection on "gotta have it" 3rd and 4th downs. Any argument that we're somehow better off without an elite WR is just coping with the fact that we don't have one. Not only is Cook a top-3 RB in the league but almost every player on the offense is a better contributor to a rushing attack than a passing one. The OL are exceptional run blockers, Jackson Hawes is a revelation in this capacity, even the WR group blocks better than it catches.

It is kind of crazy how his presence on the field essentially means he’s getting the ball and yet the opposition can’t stop it. You’d think that level of predictability wouldn’t fly.

They definitely played well. I think AJE making his play was the lynchpin because suddenly Dalton needed to mount an impossible comeback. If it had stayed a one possession game at that point, Rico Dowdle would have impacted the game.
