  1. I don’t think that changes anything with his dead cap hits.
  2. Ah I didn’t go that deep. But his posts looked normal to me and clean and the link went to the athletic. He seems to just be a local bengals coverage guy, might be why low followers, could also be new. Hard to tell sometimes though, so could be a fake account that is being less obvious about being fake too. With any unconfirmed news, just take with a grain of salt until we see something more official
  3. Why do you say that? I checked before posting, seemed legit to me
  4. Funny, we kept hearing for a while around here was that Vander Esche was so much better than Edmunds. Vander Esche signed for 2 years, $11M to stay with Dallas as no market at all developed for him. Edmunds signed early day 1 for 4 years, $72M. Seems the NFL GMs value them quite differently than TSW pundits.

  6. Literally what I thought it meant, but still thought I was wrong haha. Thanks for confirming it was what I thought haha
  7. I was talking about Hopkins not Renfrow when I posted about not being injury prone
  8. This! It’s also absurd to say he’s injury prone when he had one real injury in his whole career in 2021. Prior to that he missed 2 games his whole career.
  9. Has anything else come out other than that initial tweet reporting some interest? With us losing Edmunds, and now seeing some other LB's land else where, there are not a lot of great options remaining. I have a feeling Beane is letting the market shake out, but I just hope we don't wait too long given how important of a position it is in McD's defense. My first choice was Al-Shaair, but he is going to the Titans. My second choice is David, so hope we see some movement on this soon.
  10. Agree, but I don't trust Dorsey to use him enough to validate his expense. And I still worry about us not being physical enough in moving the chains, the redzone, and bad weather. I would much rather spend the money like you said on OL and WR and then get a guy like Jamaal Williams to compliment Cook and Hines. That being said, I would still be quite excited about Ekeler if we got him, he is a dynamic player. Just think spreading the money elsewhere and getting a physical back to compliment our guys here already moves the needle more overall for this team.
  11. Im just waiting for the story to break that Aaron Rodgers was never going to go to the Jets and he really just started his own agency and his first clients are Lazard, Cobb, Lewis and other current or former Packers and he has just been using the allure of himself to get them paid more than they should be by the Jets.
  12. Damn, I really was hoping we would be in on him.
  13. I agree with this, however, the two lingering questions for me is how effective can he be in the bad weather in Buffalo and what is the money he is seeking that is making LAC make him available in the first place. Speed and agility gets neutralized to a degree in those snowy or wet games. We really struggled with chewing clock, extending drives, short yardage, redzone, and bad weather games when it came to running the ball. We can't just keep relying on Allen to take the physical pounding to shoulder the majority of that load. So while Ekeler would be a major weapon for sure for this offense, I would still be concerned we won't be physical enough of a team. And I watched a lot of Chargers games here, their lack of physicality hurt them frequently, and they didn't even have the cold weather issue. With our bad weather, I would only be concerned about remaining too much of a high octane finesse team. Don't get me wrong, Ekeler in this offense would be an exciting add I would not complain about. But I would be lying if I said I wouldn't still be worried about being too much of a high octane finesse team while playing in a stadium at home whose weather often neutralizes those aspects of a team.
  14. That is just it...there have been VERY FEW real rumors for the most part. People keep reading tweets by nobody's saying he would be a good fit, or I bet the Bills would be or should be calling...and then coming onto the boards and falsely associating that as "rumors" the Bills are interested. I would say at best, like 1 out of every 10-15 rumors I have seen yesterday and today regarding the Bills interest in a player at any position have actually been from a credible source reporting Bills interest on a player. The rest are coming from fake posts, or falsely thinking some randos comment on twitter is somehow a rumor linking the Bills to said player. Its mind blowing how many people here keep regurgitating nonsense as rumor. A few were legitimately fooled by fake accounts posting fake info, but most see any dumb tweet as a rumor.
  15. Yeah he has a good deal today, it’s just that he wants a bigger deal making him available despite being such a valuable piece to the Chargers. If we got him, or any of them on a reasonable deal great. But just seems to backfire when teams pay RBs $10M+ a year.
  16. It’s official, Chargers granted permission for him to seek a trade. That means there is a RB trade market that potentially includes Austin Ekeler, Dalvin Cook, Nick Chubb, and Derrick Henry. That’s like the first half of a fantasy football draft lol. Just goes to show how tough it is to pay a RB big money. Teams are faced with having to decide to trade them rather than give them a big deal, or trade because they gave them a big deal. Be interesting to see if any, or even all, of these RB's get moved and what they go for. Given how cheap Waller just got traded for, curious to see what kind of offers teams are going to get for a RB. Some good options already in FA that won’t require draft capital. Be interesting to see which domino falls first in both trade and free agency. As for the Bills, given Beane has explored previous RB trades, it wouldn't surprise me if we are linked to any of these guys.
  17. I find it hilarious that Eddie Lacy and Jordy Nelson are trending on Twitter right now because of how ridiculous Rodgers is haha. What a tool.
  18. Does his tweet mean that, or that he might want that or maybe had just agreed to that deal? The way it came off I thought he was saying that to refute the false claims of what he wanted or may have turned down. But I didn’t look at it closely either cuz I don’t really care about his contract situation.
  19. Hahaha for real, can’t believe that pile of nonsense is still persisting
  20. Hahaha I’m not actually haha, but fair assessment. It’s just that free agency and this thread is already cumbersome to stay up to date with as it is, and blatantly obvious fake tweets just keep compounding that issue.
  21. NEW THREAD RULE: If you can’t tell the difference of what is a fake tweet from a random person and a tweet from a credible source with real info then just stop posting Twitter links here.
