  1. The scary prospect of this game is Lockett and Metcalf running wild down field on the Bills secondary. Not sure how the Bills scheme to cover them. 7 DBs? Maybe, but that exposes the run game. Double Metcalf and take your chances with singling Lockett? Curios what you X and Os guys out there think.
  2. Agreed. That score and the Titans score were stunners yesterday. Credit Miami's defense and special teams yesterday, they saved their coach from a debatable decision. Tua looked like a true rookie QB yesterday and his flaws were covered by the defense and special teams.
  3. As an aside, the NFL Network showed two pictures of the field-level thermometers yesterday. On the Miami side, it was 80 degrees. On the Rams side, it was 120 degrees. Rex Ryan said, I think it was him, that Miami has the greatest home field advantage in the NFL because of the temperature and humidity, especially early in the season.
  4. My thoughts: 1. First half run defense, finally!!!; second half run defense.. blah 2. Zimmer sizzles at the most important moment in the game. 3. Imagine the stadium at 37 seconds left in the fourth yesterday and then immediately there after. 4. Moss, I finally see it. And his pass protection is pretty good too for a rookie. I saw numerous examples of him picking up the late blitzer yesterday and handling it. 5. So BB chose to deploy 7 DBs to stop Josh. First I didn't know they had 7 healthy DBs. Second, it failed as the Bills ran up almost 200 yards on those 7 DBs. Third, BB wasn't going to allow the 9ers blueprint to beating the Patriots happen again this week. 6. I never did see what happened to Morse. Thought maybe he got poked in the eye when it first happened. 7. How and I mean how did Jacoby Meyers keep getting open against two starting CBs? 8. Was John Brown a decoy yesterday? He really wasn't seriously targeted. 9. Impressed that Feliciano was able to move into center and handle the snapping duties and calls. He might be the quiet MVP of yesterday. 10. Loved the entire offensive line carrying Moss over the goal line. 11. And one more. 6-2 against this schedule. Happy, happy, happy.
  5. Every year you look at the schedule and pencil in one win that you don't expect and one loss that you don't expect. I nominate the Hawks for that win and the Chargers for that loss.
  6. They also lost Ingram in that game. Dobbins and Edwards filled in nicely... But Stanley is an enormous loss.
  7. one point will work
  8. Of course. 🙂
  9. So can we have the weather from NE-BUF next weekend? I doubt Russell’s “moon balls” will work.
  10. That’s what you say the day before the trade deadline. 🙂
  11. Folks. Did you see the scores in Green Bay, Cincinnati and Miami today? Take the win.
  12. Bahahahahahahaha that is all. I’m emotionally spent. I swear you could hear all of Buffalo yell fumble!!!!!!!!
  13. I don’t see BB being able to scheme a running game without a TE and WR threat. The reason the Bills struggled in the past was because of Brady, Gronkowski and Edelman. All are gone. You had to respect their passing game which softened up the LBs.
  14. I think banishing him to Detroit would work.
  15. Those tablets must be cheap, you see players throwing them down every week.
  16. If Gilmore sits, that means the secondary for NE looks like: Jason McCourty (LCB), Jonathan Jones (RCB), Devin McCourty (FS), Adrian Phillips (SS)
  17. Yep. Hides his ear-to-ear smirk.
  18. I was in town and at that game. It was horrendous. I also had the misfortune of sitting in a section that was 75% Eagles fans. The game was brutal to watch and their fans were very vocal. It was sort of fun for say a quarter and a half. But as the game started to get away and the Eagles were running wild, it was tough to sit there.
  19. But..but.. but... that's exactly what they are paid to do. Not every ball is perfectly thrown. If it's within their arm span, they are expected to catch it. That is what they did in weeks 1-4. Not as much lately.
  20. I disagree. I watched them drop them right in their hands, off their face masks, etc. I remember that catch Beasley made at the goal line that flipped him upside down. Part of it is forcing the ball into double coverage on Diggs without Brown being on the field. But even Diggs has dropped a few he should have caught.
  21. In the first four games, the WRs caught everything that was thrown to them. In the last three games, the drops are on the rise. Correct that and things will look much brighter this weekend.
  22. This. The Bills are committed to 4-wide. Run the receivers deep and pull the secondary with them. NE is going to have to respect that. Stopping swing passes to White and stopping Burkhead from running off center is going to be the keys to this game.
  23. According to NFL.com, Trevor Lawrence is a Covidion today.
  24. and 3rd loss in four weeks with Seattle up next.
