  1. The Ravens are first and foremost a defense first team. Look at all the primo additions the last two years and they are squarely on the defensive side of the ball. Their defense will keep games close. Their running game is good enough to win 5 out of every 6 games they play. It will depend on their draw in the playoffs how far they go. Get an easier draw and get a win, that defense can carry them forward. I don't see anyone, including Pittsburgh with the chops to beat KC unless weather equalizes the playing field. You're right, losing Stanley at LT is a major loss for them.
  2. Yeah, not giving them any more time when there was a Steeler delaying the game was a curious decision. Not sure how you go about assessing how much time was owed to the Ravens, but it should have been more than 08 seconds.
  3. Can we rent Gilmore for this week and next?
  4. meanwhile in Charm City, MArlon Humphrey is a positive covidion today. Would be such a shame if contact tracing meant the whole secondary needed to sit. 🤡
  5. He's a bit ahead of diva schedule. It usually doesn't manifest itself until year three...
  6. like drink from the garden hose old, like ride a bike without a helmet old, like go outside and play old, like cut from the team cause you kind of sucked old.... 🙂
  7. It's a systemic problem on many of the NFL Network productions. Apparently goofy sells these days.
  8. Their record says they are, their point differential says they are not. 4-0 in their division and a 2.5 game lead on their nearest divisional opponent says they are. Their rushing defense says they are not. I think the Hawks will be a good metric to judge this.
  9. .......until Dez Bryant gets activated and they start throwing to the new toy. For now though, the Ravens catches got to Andrews first.
  10. Whenever only one of them pick a team to win, they put the wolf wig on and howl as the "lone wolf".
  11. Ahh.. That makes perfect sense. Could only see what the camera was focused on, which was the line.
  12. I distinctly remember the Bills have 10 men on the punt team twice. Ran a player on late both times.
  13. I thought they were fairly balanced. They didn't tarnish the win. They did give a fair amount of coverage to the game.
  14. Is that a result of the run defense this season, so teams aren't throwing? I just don't recall many instances where DBs are breaking up passes this season.
  15. The scary prospect of this game is Lockett and Metcalf running wild down field on the Bills secondary. Not sure how the Bills scheme to cover them. 7 DBs? Maybe, but that exposes the run game. Double Metcalf and take your chances with singling Lockett? Curios what you X and Os guys out there think.
  16. Agreed. That score and the Titans score were stunners yesterday. Credit Miami's defense and special teams yesterday, they saved their coach from a debatable decision. Tua looked like a true rookie QB yesterday and his flaws were covered by the defense and special teams.
  17. As an aside, the NFL Network showed two pictures of the field-level thermometers yesterday. On the Miami side, it was 80 degrees. On the Rams side, it was 120 degrees. Rex Ryan said, I think it was him, that Miami has the greatest home field advantage in the NFL because of the temperature and humidity, especially early in the season.
  18. My thoughts: 1. First half run defense, finally!!!; second half run defense.. blah 2. Zimmer sizzles at the most important moment in the game. 3. Imagine the stadium at 37 seconds left in the fourth yesterday and then immediately there after. 4. Moss, I finally see it. And his pass protection is pretty good too for a rookie. I saw numerous examples of him picking up the late blitzer yesterday and handling it. 5. So BB chose to deploy 7 DBs to stop Josh. First I didn't know they had 7 healthy DBs. Second, it failed as the Bills ran up almost 200 yards on those 7 DBs. Third, BB wasn't going to allow the 9ers blueprint to beating the Patriots happen again this week. 6. I never did see what happened to Morse. Thought maybe he got poked in the eye when it first happened. 7. How and I mean how did Jacoby Meyers keep getting open against two starting CBs? 8. Was John Brown a decoy yesterday? He really wasn't seriously targeted. 9. Impressed that Feliciano was able to move into center and handle the snapping duties and calls. He might be the quiet MVP of yesterday. 10. Loved the entire offensive line carrying Moss over the goal line. 11. And one more. 6-2 against this schedule. Happy, happy, happy.
  19. Every year you look at the schedule and pencil in one win that you don't expect and one loss that you don't expect. I nominate the Hawks for that win and the Chargers for that loss.
  20. They also lost Ingram in that game. Dobbins and Edwards filled in nicely... But Stanley is an enormous loss.
  21. one point will work
  22. Of course. 🙂
  23. So can we have the weather from NE-BUF next weekend? I doubt Russell’s “moon balls” will work.
  24. That’s what you say the day before the trade deadline. 🙂
  25. Folks. Did you see the scores in Green Bay, Cincinnati and Miami today? Take the win.
