So the lack of a running game in Buffalo (though last Sunday there was glimmer of one) along with known problems with the offensive line (again maybe at some level of under repair) fall under the responsibility of Josh Allen. The guy has put the team on his back and carried it except for last week. He is a once in a generation talent and I am glad the Bills were smart and came to a reasonable agreement with him.

No doubt, he will milk that stadium for every dollar he can get.

Sorry but your study refers to running QB’s not QB’s that are being used as though they are a running back. Show me a study on the shelf life of a running back. As I said, I am ok with scrambling and extending plays. I am not ok with pounding a once in a generational talent QB into the line or exposing him to hits as though he is a running back.

I am still worried that the Bills are far too dependent on JA as a runner. As a part of this, too much RPO. You can’t keep putting your Franchise QB out where one hit can take him out for a season. Sorry, but the time has come to say “no.” I am ok with the “extend the play” and scrambling. Let’s just not use the guy like he is a RB.

You’ve missed the point of the thread. The Bills, with JA, are a pass 1st team. Additionally the D has struggled against teams built for the power run game. The Buffalo weather conditions in January may not favor these factors.

For anything higher than a fourth and a reasonable contract - no way. The Bills problem is not RB its interior o-line. BTW - on a different note, this is why you do not draft a RB in the 1st round any more - especially in the top half of the round.
