In honor of Mother's Day....Greatest TV Mom's of all-time?
BuffaloBill replied to BillsPride12's topic in Off the Wall
Can you imagine the hysteria if that show was to run today? -
Some smart people wear a watch Some smart people wear a smart watch I am not smart enough to do either. Actually, I hate wearing a watch, smart or otherwise. Here we thought you wrote Zubaz 100% of the time.

Where’s @Chandler#81? He supports this idea.

Josh Allen's best throws from his first 4 years (video)

That’s football porn. -
It’s coming to the point that you hope the Bills don’t read the press about them. It’s hard to remember that there was a point last season where it was possible the Bills would lose the AFCE and not make the playoffs. I am not trying to rain on the parade but the weather may take a nasty turn if the Bills don’t fix some of what ailed them last season. Cook may prove to be a part of the change that was needed by giving Josh yet another weapon.

What an esoteric fact but yet a very cool one.

Many here would say that the Bills defense was not as good as the statistics indicated. Probably most would agree that the Bills 2021 D did not generate enough sacks and was too porous against the run. You might argue that the defense cost the Bills 3 of their six losses (TN, IND & Cheats*) and there are those who will say the Bills D lost the game in KC. In many ways this metric is meaningless as it takes all three phases to win games. The phases also play off one another. However, for purposes of discussion in this thread - does the Bills D get better in 2022? If so, Does the D truly become elite in that it wins you games not just plays statistically well?
-
It will be telling to see if the Bills get better both running the ball and defending the run. If they do, it will be a very fun season. If not, it could become a very heartbreaking season again. Josh Allen obviously plays huge but the Bills over rely on him. If the run game (and stopping the run) can take some of this pressure off of JA there is no doubt that the Lombardi may finally make it to Buffalo. The teams we had the most difficulty against last year generally ran over us (literally and figuratively).

Congrats… we hit 22 years in a couple of weeks.

Wet Leg "Wet Dream" - 2 obscure Buffalo references
BuffaloBill replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall
That is just flat out weird -
The poll function only allows for three questions. So, in your comments please also discuss for the AFCE teams that you believe are better, have they gained ground on the Bills? Do any of them pose a real threat to take the AFCE in 2022?

Love the pick -
The one way I disagree with the OP’s thoughts is that in effect Beane used a first to acquire Diggs. I also think Beane stays true to his board, especially in the early rounds. They had none of the available receivers ranked as a round 1 pick as they came close. I also trust they had nobody with a round two grade when their chance came up. I like the fact that Beane does not reach for picks. WR’s generally don’t make big year 1 contributions. There are also value picks that come later in the draft who later become studs (look at Diggs).

I would agree that it is not his best round - Basham is still too new but Ford looking like a bust and at best Epenesa is D-line rotational depth.
-
Why? We became very thin at the position last year. Teams play 3 & 4 WR sets a large percentage of the time. The Bills play a 4-2-5 concept regularly as a result of this. To do so they have to carry at least 4 CB’s on the roster maybe a 5th and then 1 maybe 2 on the PS in case of injuries. I could easily see the Bills taking another CB especially if the guy is a hybrid corner / safety type. The Bills CB Depth currently sits at: Outside CB1 - White (when he returns and is healthy - my return game 1 or may be a few games - who knows?) Outside CB2 - Dane Jackson or Kaiir Elam Nickel CB - Taron Johnson Depth Players - Jackson or Elam (whomever does not win the starting role) and Siran Neal (who I would argue is more of a safety and not a true CB) That leaves little depth on the roster and it is highly doubtful the Bills send Elam to the PS. With that situation if the Bills board has a CB ranked they will take him for both talent and need.

Thank the good lord the Bills did not have a 1st round grade on a RB.

Schooner beers for all….
