  1. I mean, obviously he's better than what we are seeing now, but I never thought for the minute the "return from an Achilles within a year" had a chance. I don't doubt he will try to make a comeback because his ego won't allow it and his contract means the Jets don't dare move on. The only question is can he actually throw with power. I still am unsure if he would be ready at the season opener.
  2. Sitting at my work desk, I have to wonder the logic of putting a game on Black Friday at 3 pm
  3. cutting insight. It's crazy what analytics can tell you.
  4. No, that's probably the better quality version at a fraction of the cost.
  5. I will also say that Youtube Sunday Ticket has absolutely not been worth it for me. It functions fine, but only working on Sunday 1 and 4 PM games, subject to local blackouts? that's not worth $400
  6. I know it's doubtful, but I somehow hate the Dolphins more right now than I want to see NY media melt down.
  7. I hear that Taron Johnson and Rapp are back, which is amazing news for me. Jackson can wait a few weeks,
  8. I live in Philly and they are the team I watch anywhere as close to as much as the Bills. They are a good team. They have two WRs who could be top end 1s on other squads, one of the best O-lines in football and at least two capable running backs. Hurts is an above average QB. They have a scary D-line. That would make them a contender in pretty much any scenario. Now, are they unbeatable? Heck no. They played down to competition a lot this year, only they squeaked out wins instead of blowing it like the Bills. Their record is a combination of very close wins they easily could have lost and the fact that the NFC is a joke outside of maybe four teams. But they are not to be taken lightly.
  9. I did a bit of math. Kincaid is averaging 63.6 yards a game over the last six games. Now, it's not fair to expect that every week going forward especially as Knox comes back and defenses get wise but generally I don't think 700 yards in a rookie season is impossible, and 50 yards a game would put him in top 10 rookie TE yards historically.
  10. @Kirby Jackson well I am going to be pretty light on TD but there is a good chance that he beats my yard estimate. I was expecting him as more of a red zone threat, but he's younger, bigger Beasley and I will take it.
  11. Serpico. The head chef was a Momofuku alum who was lured down to Philly. It was relatively unpretentious, a small 30 seater with an open kitchen you could sit at a bar at. The things that remain seared in my memory is a pasta dish that was homemade pasta, basil, sausage, pecorino and chicken skin and a smoked duck leg sausage. Sadly, seating guidelines killed the business model and the chef got circulated through the restaurant group before leaving.
  12. I'm not the biggest Barclay fan. It's not a bad steak, but for the price tag you can find something better in Passyunk. Sadly, the pandemic wiped out my favorite place.
  13. pork is probably easier and cheaper. Pork with provolone and broccoli rabe is a classic in the city.
  14. Look, I don't know if he is any worse than Dodson, Klein or Spector at this point. Take a sniff, it can't hurt. ok not that much. Let's let him clear waivers
  15. Back when the season began I was banging the table for a 12 personnel base. From what has been Brady's historic trends though, it's been more 11, 01 or empty set. What I think is a potential use for 12 is more that Kincaid has been blossoming into role where he can be a capable effective slot receiver in 11 while still being able to block. I think that an OC with any creative juices can think of ways to roll out 12 personnel, but then have them line up with Kincaid standing in the slot like a WR. Or have him lined up as a HB and then sent where Josh sees a mismatch as an audible. Or blocking for Cook as a FB while Knox mans the traditional TE blocking role. The issue is Dorsey to by knowledge was doing none of that.
  16. I'm imagining a lot of 2 deep safety. Without Goedhurt they are missing a big piece of their middle of the field attack.
  17. In terms of offense, I think our scheme should look a lot like it did vs the Jets: a commitment to the run game, but with plenty of motion to put the D-line on its heels and attack the middle. An important thing to note from last night's game is: Kansas was getting their shots. Balls were hitting hands. Usually (against us) those are surehanded catches. So it's not as if KC didn't know how the beat the scheme, it just was let down by its WRs
  18. I actually agree with you on this. 12 personnel does not exclusively mean lining up a TE on each side. You can start in wishbone, then put Kincaid in motion into the slot to diagnose the defense. You can overload them for a sweep/put one in a jet motion and have the option of jet handoff or is a blocker for Cook. It isn't that hard to think of, which is why it was so frustrating that Dorsey wasn't doing it.
  19. hey guys, do you remember when Gabe Davis shoved Josh from behind and it worked 95% of the time?
  20. With the bye coming up in two weeks, and the KC I would rather Knox take one more week. Don't get me wrong, I want him back. I want to see what an actual creative OC can do with 2 TE who you can motion and put into different alignments either than one on each side. Seriously.
  21. That is an insane roughing call
