  1. James Cook looks pretty close when he's clicking
  2. If they are going to play that game, I highly doubt they move or cancel ours. Snow is bad, that sounds potentially lethal
  3. If the game has to be moved anyway, would it make sense to give the teams an extra day to get set up? After all, if they are making the call now at most 69 hours from kickoff that would mean flying out tomorrow or Saturday.
  4. Honestly Monday would be kind of nice. I have it off for the first time in a loooong time, and it would mean a double header with the Eagles game so my house would get a double header.
  5. I mean I would honestly have it in Cleveland on a Monday afternoon than worry about a blizzard on game day. yes it would suck to lose the home crowd but I'd rather not agonize over field conditions.
  6. Dumb question, as someone might know better than me: do the Steelers have a full time fullback? I know Gilliam here works out with the TEs and there is overlap, but when I look at their roster I see one guy who is supposed to be a TE/FB hybrid and someone on the practice squad. I know most games aren't won or lost on the quality of a teams fullback in this era of football, but it's a position whose value is a hill I've set to die on, and we have a pretty darned good one in Gilliam. In weather like what it's looking Sunday, it might matter. (Ask me to go on my FB tract if you like )
  7. I have been thinking about this. It will be harder, as there is film on it and the Steelers aren't going to adamantly keep lighter personnel out there for some reason, but knowing that Brady isn't afraid of using 6 OL and 2 TE concepts with Gilliam as a fullback gives me cautious reassurance.
  8. I mean, the mind and snow are variables that I don't like, but even if we are breaking it down I still like our chances if it's a messy game. Josh has time this week to get used to the wind because it's happening locally (I'm not there, just relying on reports). We also know Brady is not afraid to get into Jumbo packages to run, and I do think we can run on them even in a slog.
  9. I have been seeing wildly different reports from various sources. I assume that we will have an idea with 24 hours to go, but that variation is troubling to me moreso than the weather. If we know, we can plan
  10. He's gone! The bad man can't hurt us anymore!
  11. It sounds like the Carroll situation is that the Seahawks want to move on, but are leery about ungraciously showing a long tenured and Super Bowl winning coach the door, so they are promoting him to "advisor"
  12. Looks like @HappyDays source was onto something
  13. I don't necessarily disagree, but I think that the current trend will bypass a proven track record as HC as an administrator, delegator, coach wrangler, sideline presence but who is older and is defensive minded for a younger "offensive guru", even if they are unproven or have little experience as a coordinator as long as they can scheme up pretty plays.
  14. Mostly because we think it's more of a challenge than the Steelers.
  15. I am not Leslie Frazier's biggest fan, but I do really get the disappointment of being repeatedly passed up. I mean, let's look at the slate of fired NFL coaches. You can't tell me that his track record is leaps and bounds worse than: Brandon Stayley - 1 year as DC with superstars Von Miller, Aaron Donald, Jaylen Ramsey and Leonard Floyd Josh McDaniels - A previously washed Belicheck discipline with a track record for screwing over teams Frank Reich - 4 year OC, one season on SB winning team (maybe the one I can say is the best) Ron Rivera - 7 straight losing seasons as a HC, 4 before Washington Arthur Smith - 2 years OC, got one good year out of Ryan Tannehill with Derrick Henry And yet I suspect he's going to be passed over
  16. I believe the position is open, but I am sure he makes a looot of money doing offseason coaching
  17. I couldn't watch but I was getting updates and I live a few hours north of Baltimore so we started getting what they had all game. I think the Ravens backups said "hey, we showed our stuff, this game isn't worth anything let's get out of here"
  18. I don't think you're crazy, for the highlighted reason moreso thank Cook's fumbling. Cook got stonewalled a few times vs the Phins. Not badly, but you could see him struggling to get to a lane and those sweeps to the left of the formation just were not working. With field conditions looking potentially rough, we might need power more than finesse. I love what Cook has been doing, but I am expecting heavier sets, and more balance to Fournette suits me fine.
  19. How strong? Because nucci just had somehting that said 20 MPH, which I can live with. Conditions like the 6-0 wind game in 2021? Issue.
  20. The more I hear, the more this sounds like our defensive game plan is "stop the run, make Rudolph beat us through the air" lol just missed you
  21. Honestly that forecast is gold for me. A slight slickness so their run game is a touch slower/Rudolph's timing is a bit off, and winds where Josh won't be super accurate, but should be accurate enough on intermediate throws. Of course, if things change, so does the game plan.
  22. I mean certainly the first two and possibly the second but the degrees matter a lot. Cold? No. The Bills spanked the Patriots just fine playing in the single digits in 2021. Wind? A 25 MPH swirling wind you get in the Ralph will affect throws, but it favors Josh with a rocket arm over Rudolph. At 40? It's going to be a ground and pound. Are we talking flurries, or running in inches of snow?
  23. Dolphins agony? I think I saw it pop on my youtube feed but I didn't have time to watch
  24. Definitely. If he completely wets the bed and looks unprepared against a less talented but well coached and disciplined squad that has focused on limiting points then obviously he's not getting a free pass. That said, while he's mostly running Dorsey's playbook, I feel like his game plans have been mostly sound and he targeted defense's deficiencies well overall. The Cowboys game was masterful. Josh had a bad game vs a good defense with NE, but that appears to be on execution. In the Chargers and Dolphins game the offense moved the ball fine, it was just bad turnovers. The Chargers game I was fine with, Brady didn't make Harty or Cook fumble, that's a player ball security issue (and we're not benching Cook). There's not much Brady can do if Wilkinson had Josh in a bear hug and rips the ball out, and Brady had Kincaid schemed open on the 4th and 2 interception. But man, can he please stop using Gabe Davis in Red Zone situations.
