  1. Was it his username that tipped you off?
  2. My understanding has been that it'll be year round, on Sabres off nights. To be fair, that will still be an extraordinary amount of Bills talk throughout the offseason.
  3. Listening to several NFL commentators, front office personnel, coaches and scouts lately, that could be a positive thing.
  4. I was listening to the Redskins radio broadcast for awhile, and they were already commenting on RGIII's lack of mobility on the first few drives. He definitely didn't have that extra gear when he scrambled and he certainly couldn't plant and drive the ball as per usual. As far as Griffin suggesting the injury wasn't responsible for his struggles, what else would he say?
  5. It snowed during the Pinstripe Bowl and Nassib appeared unfazed. No sleeves, too. EDIT: Although his stats were subpar, Syracuse did win going away.
  6. I mentioned in the now closed Chip Kelly thread last night that I didn't want the Bills to be the team left standing without a chair in the 3 team scramble for Kelly and Marrone. It's very interesting that both the Browns and Eagles are forced into plan C, and the Bills have their coach. A real sea change from where this organization has been.
  7. Yes, he was also our Offendive Coordinator for 1 year before Gailey was hired. I referred to him as "our former OC" to further indicate I don't want him back in that capacity.
  8. Carmichael wouldn't be a lateral move: he's currently unemployed. I like our former OC Van Pelt and all, but no thanks.
  9. That's fair, especially considering the Browns organizational direction is generally viewed in a very good light. Cleveland is not the same wasteland as the Bills were in when they were forced to hire an off the radar candidate like Gailey (or Jauron).
  10. He must not be on twitter.
  11. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/154615-realistic-supporting-staff/ http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/154623-who-does-everyone-want-for-coordinators/ http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/154630-schefter-doug-marrone-will-be-the-new-coach-of-the-buffalo-bills/
  12. The Bills actually relieved the current staff of their duties last week.
  13. Marrone may be relatively popular now in Syracuse, and will likely be fondly remembered for returning a modicum of credibility to the football program, but it's not as though he is/was the longterm legendary coach synonymous with the Orange Men. He's been there 3 years. I like the ideea of playing a preseason game there (logistics notwithstanding) but it'd make no sense that this was a "marketing" move, unless Marrone is a wild success in Buffalo.
  14. Interesting, although their time at Tennessee didn't overlap.
  15. The candidate with, arguably, the most interested teams also comes the cheapest? Doubtful.
  16. Considering these 2 tweets (both from around the same time) are not mutually exclusive, I suppose I understand where Sal is coming from--- if both of these are true. But it sounds like it may be a formality: EDIT: I'll also add it's not necessarily clear that "Marrone still a candidate elsewhere" is Brandon speaking or Sal editorializing. I'd guess the latter. Jerry Sullivan ‏@TBNSully Russ Brandon confirms by text that the Bills have agreed in principle to hire Doug Marrone as new head coach. Brandon called him "dynamic". Sal Maiorana ‏@salmaiorana Just got text from Brandon - Marrone deal NOT done yet. Mostly done, but not complete. Might take all day. Marrone still candidate elsewhere
  17. Excellent! Also excellent!!
  18. Sal is alone in suggesting Marrone is "in play" outside of Buffalo.
  19. I understand what you're saying, but the inference is made clear by "Mort: Browns rebooting coaching search"
  20. Possibly--- I'm just confused by where Sal is coming from.
  21. That's what it appears--- it's embarrassing for Sal to be asking publicly if Marrone is "in play" with Cleveland at this hour. Sully claims to have received a text from Brandon, this morning: Jerry Sullivan ‏@TBNSully Russ Brandon confirms by text that the Bills have agreed in principle to hire Doug Marrone as new head coach. Brandon called him "dynamic".
  22. Sal just asked Mary Kay Cabot from the Cleveland Plain Dealer if "Marrone is in play for Cleveland?". Is Sal hopelessly out of touch or is Marrone not signed? WTF?!? Sal Maiorana ‏@salmaiorana Mary Kay, is Marrone in play there? RT @MaryKayCabot Kelly "will not be the next Cleveland Browns coach,'' report says http://dlvr.it/2ljKbp
  23. When Sisyphean posted it, there was no link--- Mort said it on TV.
  24. I'm confused---it looks like Sal is going back and forth on whether or not Marrone's signed. Sal Maiorana ‏@salmaiorana So if Chip Kelly is out of play in #Cleveland, are #Browns taking another run at Marrone? Hasn't signed with #Bills yet.
