Sometimes those types of observations are printed as actual reports. Graham's source doesn't necessarily need to be someone that wants to spin it positively--- often, sources indicate interviews and the like didn't go well at all. It may all be apropos of nothing, but it's a quiet day and this is where the public narrative is at the moment.

That's not necessarily true. They will get to work on drafting and developing a mobile QB for the future, but in the meantime, his offense would likely be modified for a stopgap like Alex Smith.

Interviewing Kelly, Marrone and Lovie Smith all on Friday seems like an especially busy day considering the Browns met with Kelly for 7 hours. It probably doesn't really matter, but it suggests the individual interviews weren't quite "exhaustive". That's possibly only perception.

Yeah, I take each "report" with a grain of salt. Then again, according to Graham, Buddy Nix flew to Detroit to meet with Ralph about his job status, until it turned out he didn't.

It would certainly smack of Donahoe, Levy/Overdorf/Littman/Brandon, Brandon/Overdorf/Littman, Nix, Brandon/Nix/Whaley, status quo.

Of course. I do think it's a good sign for the Bills that they are investigating all avenues, especially an outside the box candidate like Kelly. I just don't think it bodes well for Kelly's chances as a Bill, unless more details emerge. I'm fairly confident they'll come away with a solid, (if unspectacular) choice this time.

The timing on these meetings isn't entirely clear. We didn't hear word one about the Lovie and Marrone interviews until well after the fact, and the final 2 hours of the Browns meeting was dinner. It's entirely possible that by the time news broke of the Bills meeting with Kelly, it was already near completion. They very well could have met for a few hours considering it's now, what, 10pm in Arizona? Having said that, I don't think it bodes well.

There are individuals from some areas in the deep south that feel comfortable using certain derogatory terms because they "grew up with it", that's all. Not an inference on you in that regard, but that's the same reasoning. To be fair, I also grew up with the word "retard" and the like as innocuous terms we threw around casually, so I certainly understand where you're coming from. I know that a few posters that disagree with some of your opinions have allowed their rhetoric to devolve into disrespectful diatribes and I just think it's a mistake to fight fire with fire.
