    Hi, yeah, I just wanted to pop back in and say the best thing about this thread is posters questioning other posters' football cred. At the end of the day, we're all wearing pocket protectors and tape-secured eyeglasses.

    But wasn't he traded simply because he wanted a long-term extension and top-tackle money? I don't remember him being disgruntled in any way, but I could be wrong. Seems to me in this case that the Bills were, ahem, just cheap.

    I don't think anybody thinks he's a bum. In fact, I think everybody knows he's a respectable coach. Some people just think he's overrated. He's a name. He's John Gruden without the ring.

    Fisher is the Lindy Ruff of the NFL. Long-time coach, flashes of success, but nothing to really show for it.

    Had a great touchdown catch in '95 against the 49ers. It was an all-out dive for the ball. Awesome stuff.

    I voted to keep Fitzpatrick simply because they have to get better on defense, and trading away picks to move up in the draft won't help. If Manning's a free agent, they should gauge interest like any self-respecting team would. Flynn, too.

    I'd be more interested in the ranks when he was defensive coordinator (Dallas, Miami) instead of head coach.

    He's still very young. He'll be 24 next football season. I would think we'll see even more of an improvement if he's in the right system. Wasn't right for Buffalo. Thirty-five tackles in 40 career games with six sacks isn't good. And he was a rookie holdout, too.
