  1. Yes, the constant whining by both Brady and Sanchez is nauseating.
  2. Oh, I assumed that's what "using the facilities" meant. I'm a horrible person.
  3. I lived in Cornelius for two years. Having a beer poolside in March is pretty nice, as is going out on the boat year-round.
  4. Wow, CDs are the new vinyl. It's all the friggin' same to me.
  5. Iredell County (Mooresville) taxes are among the lowest in the state. Perfect location for the OP if traffic is not a concern. Thanks for not mentioning Huntersville -- I'm on a mission to keep intruders like me out. It's not working.
  6. I did Google searches on Mario Williams, Jared Allen, Osi Umenyiora, Von Miller, Cameron Wake and a few others off the top of my head, and they were all 31-34. Only Aldon Smith was over 35 out of the 10 or so I looked up.
  7. Unacceptable. Latest "rambling" was made a week ago. Also, "Front Mission Zaftra" was peeled directly off the Bills playbook.
  8. Haha, perhaps my standard for "miracle" is skewed. With those rosters, finishing .500 is a miracle in my book. My bottom line is this: When you're fighting for a playoff spot -- if not position -- and the best move you can make at the deadline is obtaining Bob Corkum, you're not setting yourself up to do much. Now, I know it takes two to tango, and for many years the purse strings were beyond tight, but he's never struck me as a risk-taker in terms of personnel. He's kept the Sabres' "future" in his back pocket for more than a decade. At the end of the day, it's my worthless opinion. Although I think Ruff's a good coach --- who knows, maybe he's not the right coach for this particular team.
  9. No. Also, we could play chicken-or-egg all day. Ruff's a good coach.
  10. Yes, that's right. Ruff has worked miracles with Regier's rosters. And it's clear Regier is going to get burned on the Leino signing. Regier should have been let go five years ago. (Yep, still whining about Briere.)
  11. Yes, very. Eighteen players have gone down at one point or another, with about 150 man-games lost by regular roster guys.
  12. I'd hate to see him get axed while working with this roster. (Now I sound like Pegula.) Let's see what can happen when the real team is on the bench. Regier, on the other hand, yeah.
  13. Well, not quite. Had they brought in a cane-wielding Chris Chelios for $5M per, then added Todd Bertuzzi for a cool $7M and polished it off with Claude Lemieux for a bargain-basement $5M, it might be a more fitting comparison. This is a team that just isn't very good.
  14. I have no problem with the current rule, as long as no public money went into the building of the stadium or other team-related events. If public money was used, I think people should have access to the game --- not unlike asking for city council minutes. Of course, this is dumbing down a very complicated issue.
  15. No, Cassadaga --- where herpes merely have herpes.
  16. Went from smile to snort-laugh at the moment I read: "(near whisper)" I sincerely hope this becomes a regular thing.
  17. I would be surprised if McGee's back.
  18. Definitely a snoozer, but come on, man. Don't show your bias --- at least admit 2000 was just as bad.
  19. Definitely debatable, but he was a perennial all-star who was probably the best shortstop in the game for a decade. MVP and World Series star and good guy.
  20. No doubt in my mind these are the best two teams. Looking forward to it.
  21. My favorite Whitner memory was his perpetual "what da heck!?!?!" mini-tantrum he would have after every -- and I mean every -- passing touchdown by opposing teams. It was usually accentuated by the extension of arms and a glimpse toward the sky. The torch for this very peculiar, yet somewhat entertaining move has since been passed to Florence.
  22. I think some fans define "No. 1" as the absolute top-tier receivers (Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Roddy White, etc.). Anybody else is a No. 2. Problem is, there aren't a lot of those guys. No. 1 doesn't necessarily mean "unbelievable." Steve Johnson is a No. 1 on at least a third of the teams in the league, if not half.
