Correctly pronouncing his name doesn't matter; he will play fewer than eight games for the Bills.

You're right about the receptions; I was actually thinking of yards when I responded. He was essentially our second wide receiver that year. Outside of Diggs, the other options were not very good. Gabe Davis never lived up to expectations. The drop in KC was just one play; however, two years of struggling to block and run effective routes is a different story. I hope he breaks out, but right now, he seems like an athlete without a real football position.

*rookie TE record How many receiving TEs have the Bills drafted in their franchise history? Not a high bar to clear. 4 TDs over 2 years in disappointing

Josh Allen....Over/Under 44.5 combined Passing and Rushing TD's??

I hope I am wrong too -
Bosa can’t be a disappointment if you don’t expect anything from him.

TE will be a bigger need next off-season, when Knox will have to be cut or extended and we have to make a decision about Kincaid.

Josh Allen....Over/Under 44.5 combined Passing and Rushing TD's??

We aren't going to win many games without Josh scoring over 3 TDs a game. I’m taking the over! -
Beane is good at drafting after all -- A look at 2022
uticaclub replied to boater's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let’s revisit Kincaids snap count after a few weeks and see if he is still considered a starter. -
It turned out to be risk free for Beane. The signing bombed and he still has a job. I'm not expecting Bosa to make a difference or for us to move on from Beane either. Benjamin was playing on a 5th year option and his contract didn't prohibit us from signing other impactful players in a a Super Bowl window.

There are several threads discussing the lack of elite talent behind Allen.

Saban, Levy, McDermott…. Pete Caroll was an assistant in Buffalo once. Rex’s teeth would look very nice on the side of a mountain The 4th one is elusive.

If you consider this being our only real Super Bowl window in the salary cap era, there is no other comparison.
-
Did you see Bosa last year? Who was the last player to return from a PED suspension and made a significant impact? It’s not doom & gloom, just more of the same.
-
So our season depends on a 3rd round rookie outperforming a 6 year vet this regime drafted in the 2nd round? Our defense is going to be really bad, isn’t it?
-
We weren't in a Super Bowl window with Dockery; at that time, no one wanted to come to Buffalo. We had all this cap money but no one to spend it on. When his contract was up, so was his cap hit.

Dareus was the 3rd overall draft at a time when Buffalo struggled to keep their own talent, wasn't paying anyone else and the goal was wildcard not Super Bowl. I just hope Von doesn't have a year with the skins like Dareus had with the Jags. Sure those 11 games were fun, but this year we carry over $15M in dead cap from the Von contract and the defense is in much worse shape than it was pre Von contract.

While well-intentioned, this contract may go down as one of the worst in Bills history and a reason why Josh Allen has not yet reached a Super Bowl.

NFL Executives poll: Allen ranked #2 QB in NFL
uticaclub replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Against the top 12 QBs, we were 2-3, which seems fair. Allowing 33 points per game is better than I expected. -
He is a process guy and will return to the team when he has no other options, and our depth is lacking.

Being overly depend on a 3rd round rookie is a recipe for disaster

The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse
uticaclub replied to Bills Costa Rica's topic in The Stadium Wall
And sadly Dareus would be our best player on the Dline. Dareus was great until he wasn't; the other guys just sucked. Still can't billieve Mike Williams was such a bust.
