Guys...the only way that would happen is if Wilson forces DJ to cut his staff. We know Wilson wont do that because he is sick of rebuilding. He's 90 or whatever. This is a blatant move. There is no more hope in the Jauron category, just give it up. He will be our head coach, and Schonert will be the OC, and the team will finish 7-9.

I'm sorry. You just can't accept rooting for a team. You need more. You enjoy blame. You're a big fan of it. You blame me and try and sway me from rooting for my team and make me feel bad for rooting for them. It's funny really. I don't like Dick Jauron, but he is the coach of the Buffalo Bills, who I do like. Are you starting to follow me? Or are you too wrapped up in your little world of hate, blame, and going with what you think the majority is.

Or I'm not a faggot who let sports run my life? I'm a huge Bills fan. They are my team. They made a questionable move. Whatever. I didn't cry about it. I kept my season tickets because they are my football team. And because I'm an adult and not a child, I will be able to get myself (quite easily actually) to watch the games, and continue to root for the team I love. Dedication defines a person. I'm not religious about the team, I'm just not a quitter. That's my personality. Yours seems to get satisfaction from blaming people and threatening to quit on the team of which you are a "big fan". That's fine.

There was never a question we would get rid of ours. That would be ridiculous.

My point is that you seem angry that we kept Jauron...but that wasn't Marv Levy's decision. You seem to be very upset and confused about who to be upset at. The moral of the story is stop looking for someone to blame and just accept the fact that Jauron will be our coach. There will be some nice acquisitions in the offseason and I would expect a very hyped up season. You realize if the Bills succeed next year you're just going to look like an idiot blaming a guy who isn't even in our front office about a team that isn't even bad?

Season tix holders take a stand!

I don't even know why fairweather fans bother the real Bills fans anymore. Did they rejoin and drink the kool-aid after the quick start this season? Why are they even still here? We haven't made the playoffs in 9 years, you'd think they'd be enthralled in some marginally better franchise by now, wouldn't you? -
I don't hate the guy, but I respect his trade value. If we were able to trade him for a 1st rounder, bundle that pick with our current 1st rounder and move into the top 5 picks, we could get who? I mean really, who are we going after here? Who would we replace Peters with also? I enjoy the fact that we got a guy for cheap on our roster with an inflated reputation around the league, but seriously this is bad timing. I can't see us trading him because there is less reward in having him leave.

We've been through this before in the 1980s

I would not rule out an overhaul mid-season if it gets ugly. I think our team, with any mild upgrades, will still be too competitive for us to see jauron leave midyear. The only likely outcome is a 6, 7, 8, or 9 win season. I can't see any other possibility really. -
There was a nearly identical thread yesterday. I don't see the correlation in being upset with the recent resigning of Dick Jauron and your hatred for one of the greatest figures in Bills history. Did Marv extend him after 4 games? I'm confused.

Unfortunately nearly all of that hope is predicated on the assumption that Edwards will be some sort of a savior. I share most of your sentiments, yet I tend to differ on the opinion of our quarterback. -
Dig up the links. I said it first. If Jauron stays, there is no way in hell the other coaches go. It's that simple. He doesn't have the balls to lead a team to win football games, let alone fire the coaches responsible for it.
-
Wow. You totally misread that whole bit. I was referring to the jacka$$ who was ripping Marv as a coach, not you and your obviously "saintly" insults. I'm living in the past and you're telling me that he isn't the greatest coach in Bills history, I'm leaving this thread because you're too insult-happy to hold a worthy conversation with. Stop pretending to be admirable too. It's sickening to read. I'm not just a blind fearless defender of Marv. I'm here to remind you that insulting his GM skills would lead to the nutjobs on here insulting his coaching ability, which surely happened. Even you're too clueless to know that Marv was the greatest coach we've ever had.

Jauron was a loser as a player too

I tried to talk to an intellect I saw one time in a library. He was reading a book or something. What a faggot! -
You're all wrong. But if you really enjoy the satisfaction of pointing fingers at the man who inspired and helped lead one of the greatest teams ever amassed to not win a championship, then thats fine. See I thought that people were going to insult strictly his GM decisions. That's fine. They were debateable. Not as bad as any of you say (blaming him for JP when that was Donahoe's guy, and blaming him for not taking Cutler...are you serious...?), but fine. He paid Robert Royal money he didn't deserve, and that guy has done nothing but fail when he was needed the most. I understand that. You didn't think he was a great GM. Blame him all you want. That's fine. ...But to the guy who was trying to blame him for the superbowls...to the idiots who are telling the real fans they are living in the past, I have this to say: It truly is a disgrace and shows how you're terrible fans to knock the greatest figure possibly in your franchise's history. Really though, he IS our Shula, or what have you. He's our guy. Some franchises don't have a guy at all. And they would laugh at all of you in your shameful disregard for one of the alltime greats. Some people can't take losing. I get that. It does suck. But, come on people...ripping Marv Levy apart for the superbowl days? What a disgrace.

To be honest, Trent Edwards' four game stretch this season was worse than any JP and Brett Favre four game period combined.

While there usually is no question in the reliability between Schefter and ESPN...the give him 15 million dollars won't matter quote should be indicative of that mans lack of reasoning ability. -
Did that really need to be inserted into multiple threads?

You are saying something similar to me. You can't assume. Likewise, you can't assume, like the other fans have (especially during the offseason he was acquired) , that coming out of college he was privy to a more situational intelligence than other coaches. -
No. And what sort of sick satisfaction do you get with assessing blame?

Whoops. You're right. Jauron is a genius. A Man Genius. -
Is JAuron really on the HOT SEAT????
murra replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously. We're talking about a sports portal so obsessed with Brett Favre that they actually had him in the sports ticker on the bottom for half of the offseason as if he himself was a sport! -

murra replied to JAMIEBUF12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow. You seem very confused as to how an NFL team operates. I think Jauron will probably stay too, which is obviously the finale to the joke that this franchise has become (see Jets and their firing of Man Genius without question the day after the season ends). Your problem is the OC thing. You really feel that Jauron will follow through the orders, fire his OC, and work efficiently with a new one? If Ralph Wilson is the old nutjob that I think he is, if Jauron stays, the OC stays. It's extremely unlikely that he goes. -
Who should the Bills' head coach be in 2009?
murra replied to scribo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good point. We wouldn't want to bring in a succsessful defensive scheme or anything. Keep thinking that our sad excuse of a zone defense has made coaches lose sleep this season the night before gameday, because the reality is that our defense has the talent to be great, but coaching only allowed it to be slightly sub-par, often being dismissed from criticism.
