  1. That's fantastic! I bring that up with my friends all the time because I remember being so steamed about the interview when I first saw it. I'm surprised a bigger deal hadn't been made about this. In my opinion the full interview is better: The bit at the end, where he wants more credit is priceless.
  2. I'm baffled that you're still starting threads.
  3. Are you f*cking serious? Did Flutie play special teams? What was he going to do differently to change the outcome of that game? Honestly you have to be eating cake laced with PCP to believe that nonsense.
  4. I'm not sure how a mock draft can be made with any real legitimacy before the senior bowl, juniors declare for the draft, and the combine.
  5. Wow. Posts like that make me happy that Russ Brandon is "running the show". Are you serious? Dump your best player for a 2nd and 3rd, and sign Jeff Garcia? Please tell me this was a joke!
  6. Is it too expensive to franchise him? I don't know what it costs, or what it would cost us to just sign him to a one-year deal, but he's much much more than just a backup running back. He's arguably the best all-around athlete on the team. He has kick and punt returning ability, can catch the ball (although he did have a few drops) good at blocking, pretty much, he's a very solid athlete who should be used in the slot more as just a go-to-guy whenever we can plug him in. Most likely scenario is that, much like the Hardy debacle, our coaches request he stay (like they requested a tall WR) but again do not know what to do with him once he's there.
  7. It's really not that bad. The Buffalo Sabres once lost both co-captains the same day. I'm pretty sure singing a head coach is something you'll be able to get over as the draft steadily approaches.
  8. No changes this offseason can only mean that the team is going to get sold? I didn't follow that logic. I've understood about the one hundred other reasons why we're about to be sold, but that one made no sense at all. Explain.
  9. That wasn't a very related response to what I had said. You typed that out as if I was unaware that our team had missed the playoffs for 9 years. As for the accountability thing...I'm going to leave it alone. If you'd like to start a threat in the PPP board, I'll gladly discuss.
  10. To the OP: Take notes. That my friends is how to dissent. Well, Kelso's Helmet...I can't argue with you. You nailed the situation on the head, and did so in quite fair fashion. I would not have argued had the original poster just said that he was not going to take to any form of legitimate protest, but rather use the internet as a medium to voice his opinion. But in the end we all can't run away from reality, since here I am typing away on a message board.
  11. I didn't realize I was allowed to make up quotes. Try this one: "I graduated with a 4.0 from an Ivy League institution. You have an associates degree from a community college."
  12. No, if only because that's an absolutely horrible chant.
  13. I don't know BLZFAN4LIFE. I guess I don't. Do you have an intelligent quote from Bill Belichick? Even if you do, what does it prove? Your thread is pointless anyways.
  14. Simon I think a thread should be made listing every user who has claimed to be done with the franchise, and stapled to the top of the page as a reminder that this in the end is a message board where people say whatever ridiculous crap they want to...especially if it isn't what they mean at all. I agree that people will look forward to this guy's exit, but unfortunately there is no way that this guy and his amigos will cease posting unless they're made an example of.
  15. The whole we deserve better bullsh*t is just another form of liberal propoganda getting the best of you. You don't deserve better pal, you have two teams that compete in the elite leagues in their respective sports. I mentioned earlier that people who complain about blaming people come off as bitches. You can blame anyone you want, and really the person in life who seeks accountability will always be a step behind the person who doesn't.
  16. I think you're letting it get to you too much. This is especially evident towards the end where you tell me that it isn't politics but capitalism. You're looking at it as if you're wasting your money, but the reality is that if money is a concern and you're truly not all for the Bills, then I am with you, it probably isn't economical to continue your die hard fandom of the Bills with season tickets. That's fine. If you want to blame it on not giving Ralph the money, then that is a totally different issue, that I can not contest. I attacked you because you believed that protesting needed to be done, or at least, that was implied since you began a thread questioning other people on their forms of protest. I will continue to attack you on that regard, because protesting is beyond silly in this situation. Season ticket sales resulting from the Jauron extension are not going to be half as bad as people on here seem to believe, and will have almost no result. If you guys had your way, however, and no one showed up next season, there would be no more Bills and then no one wins.
  17. I'm actually far from the tool and enron employee you think I am. I understand where you're coming from, but I'm not a sheep coming to Ralph Wilson Stadium following the built up hype each season. I come because I'm from Buffalo, I love Buffalo, I love sports and I want to see our sport team exceed at the national level. It's more than being a tool. It really is. I see where you're coming from, but this isn't politics. I'm not following some leader into a questionable future with no questions asked. This isn't some teenager voting for Obama because he enjoys the word change. I'm trying to make the point that I can imagine the Jauron debacle be enough to sway you away from the cherished fandom that comes with representing the city of Buffalo. While to me it is mind boggling that you're abandoning your team here, it's more mind boggling that you're criticizing the loyal fans.
  18. See, I think that you've got the whole optimism thing all wrong. I like Jauron enough to root for him next season, however you can't pretend he is fan club worthy. He undeniably messed up this season, and is getting a rare fourth chance to succeed by Ralph Wilson. I think if he finds away to get the offense rolling, he could be successful. Still, it is difficult to deny that he is a career loser. You can't just ignore that and pretend to have a fanclub for the guy. I mean he cost us some valuable games, and with his extension I'm willing to see if continuity is what the team needed, or if injury just forced the team to slip into mediocrity once more.
  19. Is that even possible?
  20. Really? That's the message you got from my post? Fine. You guys are all so high and mighty and quick to dismiss people, but the reality is that Buffalo loves it's Bills. When stuff goes horribly wrong, like a Dick Jauron extension, the minority who use a message board to fuel their anger say things they will not do and have no intention of doing. Nearly all of these people will be back watching the Bills each week in some form or another.
  21. No, I'm just not getting rid of my season tickets because Dick Jauron got extended. Worse things have happened. Protesting is the very nature of Americans but, after a while it gets disgusting. Like, seriously, what good do you think protesting about your sports team is going to do except make you look like a whinny little B word? That's all there is to it bud. You can't take it. And therefore it's better you leave. I can stomach sports better than you. I am more tolerable to having the enjoyment of rooting for my team.
  22. Great Post. You should have left the JP thing out though because reality upsets a lot of people on these boards...They don't like it when you tell them not to consider JP, Bledsoe and Johnson in the same category. As for everything else, solid, accurate analysis.
  23. Wow. Do you B word like this over every little thing that doesn't go your way in life?
  24. What? It's playoffs. Guaranteed. Ralph didn't hint to it as much as I thought he wuold. But consider playoffs to be the only way he can save his job.
