  1. Im sorry for your loss Fan in SD. It's never easy losing a close friend.
  2. Best wishes to you and your family Cotton. Plenty of people here giving good advice and info.
  3. Have a good Memorial Day weekend everyone and remember those who made/make this time significant.
  4. What I would give to own a colt 1911. Just a matter of time. I don't know Yorks history super well, but somewhat. From what little I know I thought he kicked azz with his Springfield. Time for me to do more research about his familiarity with a 1911.
  5. Jim that is a heck of a lot for a jersey. lol damnit y did u have to call me on that! :-p How about a puck from a good game of shuffle puck on the Emden when the captain isn't looking?
  6. Holy shiznizl!! I'd rather pay that amount for Sergeant York's uni. Screw the babe Edit: Some Bills fans might be Yankee fans but I sure as hellz am not. Ok now that that's cleared up my dinero would go towards York, Audie Murphy and heroes, heroines who haven't gotten the recognition deserved.
  7. That Obscure Object of Desire.
  8. Grosse Point Blank is a great movie. I'm very selective as to what DVDs make it into my home and this is one of them.
  9. The World's Fastest Indian/(Native North American) Inspiring movie with a cheap budget but with good dialogue. When I'm an old fart the main character is the kind of bastard I plan on being.
  10. I'll never forget those plays of him destroying the will of the fish! Happy Birthday Thurman!
  11. Have a great B-Day Sage!
  12. What a wonderful family and heartfelt story. Such a classy guy he is and great role model. Thanks for posting the link Chandler.
  13. Same here, I was against signing him too. I'll have to trust Nix's judgement on this but I have reservations. I wonder if Gailey is on board with this as much as Nix is. This signing just runs against the type of character the team is being built on. Since VY is on the team now I hope he pans out and grows up. Signing a headcase is a headscrarcher for sure no matter how physically talented he is. If he revisits his previous shennanigans then cut him immediately. Well here's to hoping for the best anyhow.
  14. You're totally right about Lewis and Clark being an adventure to witness. People just seemed to be tougher back then. We've just grown soft for the most part. Not all but most.
  15. I don't dwell on losses unless there's wisdom to be gained. I'm not always successful at this tho.
  16. Yes, to explore and carry a Martini-Henry rifle or a Winchester unimpeded. Of course there r pros and cons to that time period but overall wow. Lately I've been thinking how it would be being the first expedition on the amazon after Pizzaro showed up at the Incan doorstep. Or the first failed Spanish expedition into Florida of which the straglers barely made it to the Mexican region. Among the last of the great adventures. And then there's Shackleton.
  17. If you are cut will you be classy about it? J/K
  18. jboyst, Dickies pants rock, it's what I prefer. Shorts - Camo. 46 tho? Damn. U must be pulling our legs.
  19. Soylent Green is interesting when it comes up at a party. Odd conversation topic for sure but some chicks have seen it. It would cause quite a stir.
  20. To the OP, do everything u want to do AND get strippers. Then u won't have regrets.
  21. My cable has been on the fritz for the past week so I'm relying on the posts here to keep up with what's been going on. When will Chelsea bring the hammer down to win it all? She hasn't made many enemies and let's Kim take charge and flack as well. Chelsea is a take charge type of gal but she's letting Kim think she's in the lead so Kim can also make some enemies. Chelsea is effin hawt in my book so I'm a bit biased. I luv her personality for the most part as well.
  22. What an adventure that would be. I sometimes think I was born in the wrong century. Imagine exploring some of the last "unexplored regions by Europeans" on earth. The uncertainty of what lies beyond, to believe or not to of the local superstitions, to wander and explore (hopefully with competent officers) and to have stories to pass on. Zulu is one of my fav movies and to live in an era of earthly land exploration would be amazing. Undersea and cave exploration is a different story but nothing would beat colonial era exploration. (Excluding colonial exploitation)
  23. I hope u had a grand birthday Pete!
  24. Thanks SJ. Maybe TCali and I might meet up someday at a pub and catch a game. I've only met one Bills fan in rl so any new ones I meet would be a cool experience.
