  1. There seems to be no question about WOOD being ready for the season and able to handle most of the preseason camp work. Definitely no PUP for him! WOOD starts against the JETS (Glenn, Levitre, Wood, Urbik, and Pears) ... It's time for you to stop worrying about things ... go get a nice cold Blue and enjoy your day!
  2. How can you not love this guy ... his attitude and what he's done with the drafts! He is proof that from the top down this team is going to finally be about winning football games. It's pretty clear that there really is not a competition going on at the LT position. Glenn has taken every snap with the first team and handled it all. His comments about Chandler not having dropped anything are interesting ... would love to see more use of Chandler this year especially in the RED ZONE. Metzalaars being back will definitly only improve the quality of play from our TE's!
  3. When you look at the offensive line that allowed the fewest sacks in the NFL last year as well as blocking for an average rushing gain of almost 5 yards per carry you have to feel good! Every single report that I have read gives no indication that our starting five won't be ready for training camp of course Glenn is clearly being pushed to being the starter at LT, which in a way makes the line stronger since Hairston can play either tackle position with skill and aggressiveness. I have seen Brown's name in the reports from training camp so he is still in the mix as a back up center but we also have Asper whose multidimensional skills could get him a place on the starting line up. Of course there's also Sanders who the coaches seem high on and Jasper (I keep hoping this kid is able to make it ... have doubts but will remain hopeful.)! So we have our starters: Glenn, Levitre, Wood, Urbik, and Pears. Primary back-ups are Reinhart and Hairston. In the event of Wood not playing either Brown steps up (Asper?) or Urbik moves over and Reinhart starts at RG. So on the bubble are Brown, Asper, Sanders, Jasper, and not sure about Sam Young. And, we still have a couple of additional players who in past years would have been considered potential starters for the Bills. The OL like the DL has me wanting the season to start now! Obviously, I am hoping that we'll see WOOD as a beast in the middle (I think he was having a Pro-Bowl quality year last year before being hurt) and Glenn locking himself in as the long term answer at LT. GO BILLS!
  4. So sorry to hear of your dad's passing away, my prayers are with you. The community also has lost someone whose work touched many lives but I have a special thank you for the link ... I found the program cover for the very first Bills' game I ever went to with my dad in 1962, which brought back memories of that special man in my life who went to be with the Lord back in 1991. Going to get that one printed and framed ...
  5. Promo is right on! Last year our offense was ranked #14 but every time they went to the bench they watched the opposing team control the ball and score. When you combine always having to come from behind, the pain from London Fletchet's Toronto greeting, Fred getting hurt and all of our other injuries it is no surprise that Fitz was forcing the ball during the second half of the season. A strong defense will be step one in Fitz's return to being a good winning qb, David Lee's guidance will be step two, a working relationship with Stevie, Nelson, and Chandler step three, and finally Fitz's intelligence and awareness that he needs to continue to get better. I feel so good about this team now ... Let's hope they stay healthy and show it once the pads are on!
  6. exactly ... and disrupting a locker room all because he believes it can be all Percy all the time. He's like a little kid throwing a temper tantrum ... rather than working on his issues behind the scenes so as not to hurt the team (Or in the past his schools) he chooses to show his selfish immaturity out in the open. Yes, he still might be a "star" but he will never be a winner. If the Vikings send him packing it better not be here ...
  7. NO RALPH IS CHEAP ... THE BILLS NEVER SIGN THEIR THIRD ROUND PICKS BEFORE OTHER TEAMS ... HE'LL PROBABLY SIT OUT and go back into next year's draft ... I AM SO DONE WITH THIS TEAM ... Why didn't we draft Russell Wilson instead?
  8. Watching the OTA and mini camp videos he seems to have good movement. He underwent surgery that 'rebuilt' his injury prone achilles rarher than not undergoing intense surgery which was his choice in past years. No one is asking him to play every down this year. I really think speculating on the odds of an apparently healthy player getting injured is stupid because I hope no one gets hurt. Might as well have s poll as to who the first player to get hurt will be (Sounds so Vegas sports book like). Go Billls and may this finally be the year when the Bills have the fewest injuries!
  9. First, thanks for the post!! Truth is our starting LT from last year's outstanding OL is still with the team! Bell once again was out for more than half of the games (Bell 6 games - Hairston 10 games) and even if he didn't get injured there was talk of a change happening at LT. So add in our two draft picks and it really sounds like we have a keeper at LT finally and Buddy is right. An already deep OL had gained additional quality players do it is deepert and Wood will be back. Worse case scenario is having a starting OL against the Jets that is the same as the season ending game but with Wood at center. Clearly Buddy knows how to build a team and is honest about how bad we were .
  10. I didn't have time to do any real digging but here is some background on his situation at UF (all indications are that he was a problem there ...) Love me choke me toss me to the ground
  11. Let's see ... we definitely need a whining and publicly complaining player who has had a series of injuries during the last two seasons that have caused him to miss playing time (hamstring 2010 and abdominal, rib, and shoulder injuries in 2011). He seems to think he deserves a new contract even though two years are left on his original one. The word from Minnesota is that he's not on the trading block PERCY STAYS PUT but we know that can always change. The most impressive consistent element of this Bills' team is that they want to play football and they are a team not individuals. Players like Harvin will always be individuals not teammates. Once again, I say let's not pick up some other team's problem child while we have the potential out on the practice field at One Bills Drive.
  12. I have to agree ... last year I made the plunge across the line and bought a Dareus jersey for myself and a Stevie jersey for my brother from DH Gate. They look great ... no mix matched colors or numbers. The price was unbelievable! I could stand next to the real thing and you couldn't tell the difference. Plus, I received excellent customer service from the sales rep. who answered questions live for me. I would definitely use DH Gate again ... my Eric Moulds "replica" jersey that I bought from the Bills' store never looked even close to a 'real' jersey and the number begin to vanish after a few washes ... Sadly, each jersey selling for $300 is being made down the street from DH Gate's factory but Nike gets a huge share of the profits as does the NFL. There are no American workers nor families losing out other than the 1% who own Nike and are NFL owners. I do feel I owe Dareus a few pennies but then again he makes more in one season than my entire family and my descendants will make in our life time all for playing a game.
  13. got to love the pre-preseason predictions ... Obviously I am thrilled when someone picks the Bills to be in the playoff mix because that's where any fan of the team sees them right now. But, before any realistic predictions are made let's see how the preseason plays out throughout the league. Who stays healthy ... who looks old and rusty ... who is ready for prime time! All that being said ... this is the first year since the mid-1990's when I honestly cannot wait to see this team in a game situation. Every time I think about our front four in action especially on passing downs all I can imagine happening is a total shut down of the opposition. GO BILLS!!!
  14. Let's see ... he was an enthusiastic cheerleader along the sidelines ... he seemed to have a degree of energy on the defensive line and now he's suspended for eight games based on his willingness to be an active participant in Greg Williams' thug football Hargrove's agent says not my client Frankly, I am glad he is no longer a Buffalo Bill because he would be an early cut in camp. I had hoped that he would have done everything to stay "clean" because the NFL gave him an opportunity to succeed but he'll be a Packer on the sidelines for eight games this season ...
  15. Thurman needs to sit him down and teach him what Marv Levy taught Thurman ... or bring in Coach Levy for a concentrated maturing session. I love Stevie!! I really think the league has gone crazy with it's no fun rules but even though we have this rookie who can boot the ball out of the end zone every time we don't need to start the kick off with a penalty ... celebrate after the game dancing down the field in victory but during the game show that you are a star who is used to success!
  16. I agree the PACKERS was perhaps the worst of the bunch! As a COWBOY hater, I thought the COWBOY logo actually was well thought out. A fun link ... thanks for sharing it!
  17. WILLIAMS ... WILLIAMS ... DARIUS ... ANDERSON ... KELSAY ... EDWARDS ... MERRIMAN ... and whoever else survives the line battle at camp ... what an incredible D-LINE rotation ... all positive energized motor players and if Wanns creates the right scheme no QB will have any time to think about more than their initial option downfield. THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMEN of the NORTH!
  18. I guess I had not bothered to watch his video's because I was so thrilled with the other side of the line. This guy is SO IMPRESSIVE!!! His ball awareness skills, his speed, his determination to never give up ... I realize this is a highlight reel but it shows that Anderson has a positive energy to succeed. I so can't wait to see what this defensive line can do and if Merriman is healthy ... oh wow!!! This could be the best Bills defensive front ever!
  19. WOW ... the more I discover about our safety the more I am impressed by the man ...
  20. Uh ... I hope that Shep never is "equal" to Poz because that means he will alway be chasing after tight ends and running backs who have blown by him. It means he will miss tackles that should have been made and it means that he will grow beautiful long hair that all the women can drool about. Obviously Poz did not improve or show any higher level of talent with the Jags last year. He was part of the Penn State mythological linebacking crew that disappears at the pro level. Shep improved as the season moved forward even without OTA's and training camp ... he shook off an early injury to become a part of the D that Wanns and Gailey both have confidence in. Clearly he will have to show he can play on the field but all reports indicate that he is going to be an impact player. It would be his worst nightmare to have talent only "equal" to poz's because that would mean he would be a negative on the field.
  21. Thanks!!! It proves even the late great John Butler could mess up a draft!! The commentary was right on ... Cowart had so much potential!!
  22. We do not want Banner ... there are many better options for potential owners than tight fisted Joe.
  23. My guess is the John Murphy news, which was just reported on by the BUFFALO NEWS. He is leaving Channel 4 to work for the Bills and apparently have an ongoing Bill's oriented show daily from 7-9. Too bad they couldn't have him take over the afternoon drive time slot and actually talk sports from a knowledge standpoint. Murph's a quality sports guy and from everything that I have read and heard Channel 4 is not that interested in devoting their time and money into Van Miller's legacy.
  24. Ok, now this is getting annoying because you are just so wrong! The location of Bills' fans has no relevance into our ability to have accurate opinions about the team that Nix and Gailey have been building. And, as someone who has moved away from Buffalo for work purposes, I would never raise a critical voice of those who have been fortunate enough to live in Western New York all of their lives. The slighting of those posters and fans is perhaps reflective that the critic has nothing substantial to base his negativity on so he goes after residents of Buffalo. Those who understand football and what kind of players it takes to produce a winning team cannot dispute that the Bills' current roster has "our team (Now, paint it appears that the Buffalo Bills are not your team but most of us on this board are Buffalo Bills' fans.)" poised to have a major breakout year in 2012. Most of us are realistic enough to understand that injuries can turn a team totally around, which is what occurred last season. Any team that loses key players for the season will also see their win column being reversed from its potentiality. We are in June ... the OTA's are happening ... training camp is weeks away ... all but one of our draft picks is signed ... we made the second biggest free agent signing of the NFL Spring ... key players are recovering from surgeries at a faster pace than anticipated ... this is the time of year for true fans to have their cups overflowing and to be at our highest level of optimism. The good news is ... this defense combined with Fitz's leadership, our O-line, our RB's and yes even our WR's allow us to clearly see that this Bills team is ready to get all of us up and SHOUTING come September with the playoffs finally being a realistic expectation rather than a pipe dream requiring luck ...
