  1. Our season is over. 2009 was down the sh*tter the moment they didnt fire Dick. I would love to see Bell start all 16 games at LT just to see how he does. Then, when we are drafting top 5, we will have a pretty good idea if we need a LT or not.
  2. when all you throw is 2 yard dump passes you will have a high completion %
  3. The Bills will go 4-12, and be drafting in the top 5. Nic Harris will be starting by season end. And McGee will not be signed.
  4. Cheering for the other team would paint the picture IMO.
  5. The Bills are a cash cow and one of the most profitable teams in the NFL to be an owner of (Two or three years ago they were the 3rd most profitable I believe). This is because we have addicted fans who will pay to watch complete crap, our owner has no debt, and of the NFLs shared revenue policy. The Bills will cost a new owner almost 1 Billion dollars. What owner could afford to move the team, spending an additional 1+ billion, just to go to another city, while remaining debt free. The key to making money in the NFL is a lack of debt, NOT your market. This is because most "national" revenue is shared between all the NFL teams. It is fiscally unwise to move a team to another city if it would mean mortgaging the team for an additional 1+ billion, ie the cost of the move/new stadium etc. The additional revenues a different city would incur would A) most likely be shared amongst all NFL teams, and B) not offset the cost of the teams debt. Additionally, why would a team care about being the best of the best in terms of shared revenue? Truth is there is no motivation to be at the top because whatever money you make over the average is taken away from you. This means that leaving the Bills in Buffalo, would actually be MORE profitable to the owner than if he moved the team to LA/Vegas/where-ever. The players hold out and claim that "football is a business". Well look at moving the Bills from a business perspective and you would see it just does not make any sense. The only team a new owner could feasibly move is the Jags because they borrow their home stadium, AND have absolutely no fans, unlike Buffalo where the stadium is sold out year after crappy year.
  6. When he is not being coached by Jauron and Co. Thats the most realistic scenario but not an option listed. It may be with the Bills, may not.
  7. I really like him at LDE. He will line up there sometimes and I really like what I see. Denney actually isnt that bad either...they both are much better than Kelsay
  8. You all need to stop living in the past. Yes Schobel was good, but guess what... he got old. When he hasnt been uinjured he has played terrible. You are not getting the Schobel of 2006. This is 2009. Bruce Smith was great too but I wouldnt want him starting on my team right now...
  9. I am praying that there is a rookie salary cap put in place. The last thing we need is a 80 million dollar QB to pan out like Losman....
  10. nNyone else notice how Maybin was the focus of double teams in that game. Not Schobel, not Stroud, but our rookie DE with one week of practice. Is that a compliment to Maybin or an insult to the rest of our DL?
  11. Ill settle for Jay Feeley
  12. Did they mysteriously find him making 14 tackles again....
  13. Yea those guys are still good. Stop living in 2006
  14. No one has been harder on Maybin than I. I was very impressed from what I saw considering his holdout and all other factors. He played with a lot more strength than I ever saw him play with in college. However, I still feel he was washed out of the play too often, which was my big fear with him. From what I saw I feel much better about his potential. But with a play of his style, we will need to get more push from the DTs so that the QB cant step up in the pocket. We dont have those DTs on the roster.
  15. So let me get this right. The Lions went 40- in the pre season, then 0-16. So with our record of 1-3 (soon to be), what are we going to go? 0-24-1?
  16. I think Brandon should be retained...just as Marketing Director not GM. He has to be the best Marketer int the NFL. To see the season ticket sales numbers where they are in this playoff drought, while retaining Jauron, is a HUGE feat.
  17. When the Pats dump a kid this early in his career, with all those physical tools, the day after Brady had a mysterious injury, its because he is not any good. I like the idea...but lets be honest, the Pats evaluate talent far better than us. Lets just take their word for it on this one. PS I write this just as cutler drives the Bears 98 yards with under 2 mins for a TD. Maybe we should bet the farm on him...
  18. You can make fun of guys like that, but you and I both know that the Bills front office has earned the doubt.
  19. I base my opinions in part from exhibition performance but mainly from seasons past. Kelsay has never been an NFL starter. with his salary he should be cut. Schobel was good but just isn't anymore. With his salary he should be cut. Denney is not good but is better than both Kelsay and Schobel as of right now. He is not overpaid so I would keep him. My opinions from the past few season have only been cemented by this years pre season showings.
  20. You are all wrong. The new CBA will include a rookie pay scale. AKA this is the best season in NFL history to hold the number one pick. At least Buffalo wins something this year! PS I want Carlos Dunlop, DE FLorida. 6-6, 290 and the next Mario Williams/Julious Peppers. One of the QBs Bradford/McCoy/Snead/Tebow WILL fall into the second round. None of them impress me enough for the top 5 pick I am expecting.
  21. Really? I cant think of any quality talent anywhere. Our CBs and RBs are good but thats about it. Our OL sucks, our QBs suck, we may as well not have any TEs, and with TO out our WRs suck. Our D line is the worst in football because our top 3 DEs are our worst three DEs, our LBs are average and our safeties suck. We have no big time play makers on D, not one. TO is our only legit threat on O. So where is all this talent? O yea they are on other teams because we neglected to draft them...
  22. Snead gets love because he is 6'5'' and can throw the ball a country mile. Too bad he sucks something awful. He will be jsut another terrible NFL QB unless he REALLY improves this season and shows he doesnt blow. As of 2008, the guy is just another J. Russel/J. Freeman. The Bills should focus on the lines and get whatever QB falls with their 2nd or maybe have to trade up a bit... Bradford/Tebow/McCoy Carlos Dunlap -- Florida * DE * 6-6, 290 93 Gerald McCoy -- OK Height / Weight: 6-4 / 297 Position: DT Ndamukong Suh -- Nebraska # 93 Defensive Tackle - DT Height: 6-4 Weight: 300
