I understand your point. His title is director of college scouting - but maybe Ralph/Dick have come in and said "I want Maybin" "I want Whitner" etc. IF that were the case then Modrak needs a set of nuts. He is the chief scout. He spend 364 days a year preparing for that one day. If he cannot tell some medling owner or BS coach to F off because the player they want blows then I dont want him running the draft room - no matter how good he may be. As head of scouting the axe falls on his neck.

Nix scouted for the Bills back when they ran the 3-4. Then moved to SD where they run the 3-4. As Bills GM, do you think we will get a coach who runs a 3-4? I would assume its very likely to see the Bills in that D next season. I wouldnt say I am for or against it. I actually like the 4-3 but I do think the 3-4 allows teams to scheme and confuse teams with their blitzes. It also is easies to find players to fit the scheme I think. More Lbs for special teams too. I personally think K. Williams would be a stud 3-4 end and have said that for years. Stroud too but his play is starting to fall off. Poz played 3-4 middle at Penn st his Senior Year, and Mitchell I have thought has always seemed to fit that scheme. This might mean we have seen the last of Nic Harris though. Hopefully Maybin can learn to beat LTs when he is listed as OLB on the roster instead of DE. I put my money on the Bills in the 3-4 next season.

Lets just hold Nix responsible for every thing and everu pick why dont we. The Bills employ 6 scouts I believe and Nix was one of them - yet he is responsible for all of our picks? I dont believe that. I do knwo that this was the Bills best draft in 10 years and the only one Nix has been a part of. Has a good pedigree too.

And we would finish 2-14. No OL, no running game = no wins.

We have at least some shot at Okung, Clauson, Suh if we lose, and ZERO chance if we win. Considering how horribly bad we draft, I am hoping that we have a shot at someone who is so blatantly the right choice we wont f*ck it up - you know the way we somehow got Maybin>Orakpo&Oher. It has to be more obvious to our scouts than that.

.... That their line sucks? The Jets are 8-7 and on the berth of a playoff appearance with a rookie QB playing like sh*t. Yet they have a great OL with a good running game and the leagues top D. Thats the same way Baltimore did it last year except Flacco was much better that Dirty Sanchez. Thats the way Miami is doing it now. Thats the same way Roethelismcburger did it with the Steelers - who went 15-1. Good teams do it right and have great Ds and great OLs/running games. Bad teams (Cle Det Oak and yes BUFFALO) draft rookie QBs and throw them to the dogs with no OL, no running game, and average to bad Ds. Yea there are many ways to do it, but one is better than others.

Dont count on either for 2010. Butler will be able to play, but likely not well as it takes two years to get back to the same level of play prior to knee injury. Wood will prob be PUP for the year, maybe a situation more like Hardys - Michael Bush broke his femur in the first game of his college sr season, then missed his etire rookie year. I would count them both our for next year. I think we have to try to add two OL, preferably two Ts. Matt Light/McNiel and a Rookie or two rookies. Then If Butlter can play he can go back to G where we KNOW he can play well (tackle we still dont know). Hangartner can then limp us through next year until Wood can hopefully come back and play C. Hang is then solid interior backup and Butler can backup at RT. Sign a good FA, or draft two Ts ala the Jags did this past draft. OL is a huge problem on this team, but it can be fixed with one draft. The OL talent is there in the draft, the QB talent maybe - but maybe not.

Go watch the games tard, he gets all his sacks from DE. He rarely blitzed- if ever. I also saw him beat many double teams - so dont claim his production was because of Haynesworth.... who missed three games this season, one being Orakpos 4 sack performance vrs Oak. He would have started from Day One at DE - Fact. He also could have started at OLB from day one - Fact. The Bills needed help at DE and LB from day one - fact. What did you not understand?

Yea, cause it would be sooooooo hard for him to beat out the imortal Chris Kelsay at DE.... Dude would have had more sacks on the Bills, because he would have solely played DE. It was so obvious that Orakpo was going to be a regular at the PB, and our idiot scouts passed on him....

They just lost their big starting nose tackle the week before.... Really, that was our only real win. What win have you been happy with? All the others I walked away saying "We shouldnt have won that game...." And no I never thought the opposite after one game this year, not even the NE opener.

Do fans not realize the "developing" is the biggest unknown around? Bell has been in the league two years AND HAS GOTTEN WORSE EVERY GAME. He is not going to improve. Not with our coaches. Dont count on him. ...and he was not a DT coming out of college...

Dude would be the best QB on our roster, how could you not want him? Not to mention he played very very well for them when he did get the starts. Hire Jim Harbaugh and let him talk to brother Jon about him and go from there...

Snead is worse than JP Losman. You have no idea what you are talking about. Snead was never any good either. Kiper and MCShay talked about him because they had no clue. Then, this year he sucks and he is not going to declare. Snead blows. Id rather have Tebow starting the season opener next year - and thats saying something.

They can hire him cheap because ND will subsidize his salary. Thats why they want him. I mean really, they guy wasnt successful at ND - a college team. Now he is gonna do it in the NFL? Blame it on lack of talent if you want, but in Buffalo he will be in a MUCH bigger hole.
