Pats fans believe the dynasty is Over
High Mark replied to CarolinaBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Their dynasty was a myth caught on tape with their spy cameras. Lets just say it liek it is. The Pats "dynasty" was created by their cheating and they wouldnt have won a single SB without it. -
1. Where there is smoke, there is fire 2. A mediocre OC declined to interview for a HEAD COACHING JOB. Ron Riviera, a mediocre DC declined to interview for a HEAD COACHING JOB. 3. Not accepting a job offer is the same as declining a job offer 4. The Browns brought in a top talent. THE BROWNS. Meanwhile the Bill are being rejected EVERYWHERE THEY TURN. I said nothing about him coaching in Cleveland. 5. The Bills obtained permission to ask Grimm to interview. He hasnt yet, maybe he will, maybe he wont, but I am fairly certain the Bills didnt ask for permission o interview him only to change their minds and never follow through. If Grimm never interviews, its because HE DECLINED - just like Brian S. As for Fraizer, he has interviewed for countless (6-7) HC vacancies. Wouldnt a "top" DC have gotten a HC job if he were truely that good? Shany turned us down. Cowher turned us down. Brian S wouldnt even interview. Fraizer interviews with everyone and cant get a job anywhere.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4792467 Did I miss something? Is Cowher the coach? I didnt think so. Therefore Cowher told the Bills no.....

You are only mocking the Raiders say we are the Raider east, who are a much much much better NFL franchise, thats how bad we are. Shannahan turns down 10 mil a year here for 7 mil a year in a much harder market/conference with much higher expectations. Both Shottenhiemers wont even interview. Cowher told us to F off. The Browns brought in Holmgren, hell even the Lions brought in a top coordinator as HC last season. We cant even get mediocre OCs and DCs to INTERVIEW. We are a distant 32 out of 32. I am embarrassed to be so hopelessly invested in this franchise.

To Hell with any coach who does not want this job!
High Mark replied to Driffill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only coach that has come out and said he wanted this job is Billick - who ironically hasnt been contacted. I am willing yo accept him at this point. -

High Mark replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So all these people are robbed, dont tell anyone, until its reported by some one else, then stand up with the "hey me too!" I dont buy it. -
Lynch is a top 5 back in the NFL
High Mark replied to Trent is Unstoppable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, Lynch is hands down the better blocker. But to the OP... I could think of 5 teams with arguably 3 better backs than Lynch. I could name 5 teams with 3 backs better than Jackson too for that matter. Dallas - no argument Oakland (debatable I guess) Pittsburg (also 3 better backs) Baltimore (potentially three better backs, not really though) NYJ (deff 3 better backs) I am one of Lynchs biggest supporter too. We do need a line, at least you got that right -
Dear Mr. Wilson, I Am Done With The Bills.

Dear Mr. Wilson, I Am Done With The Bills.
High Mark replied to tonyd19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I for one really liked your rant. I myself am finding less and less time to commit to this team. With a new job, a new house, and working a lot of weekends its very hard to set aside an entire Sunday to this team. I also find myself running out of excuses. "They were good once" - yea I was 6 years old the last time they went to the Superbowl and my only real memory is that I had Cowboy/Bills stickers on my lunch box - that might be a good thing though. "They are close to being at the top again" - I have said that since 1999, but the reality is no they arent. They are no closer to the Superbowl than they were Mike Williams rookie year. It takes a lot of hard work to rmain that bad for that long. "Maybe they just know somethign I dont" - What I have said every last saturday in April for years. I began to follow this team so closely and treated teh team like I was in the front office. I have had to suffer through mistakes like Whitner>Ngata, Losman, Hardy, McCargo, McKelvin>DRC, and now this years Maybin>Orakpo. This team has drafted 1 decent player with their last ten first round picks. Its sad that a kid with basic cable could post a better draft resume than an NFL franchise who spends God knows what on scouting. "There is always next year" - There is always next year, but that only means losing. I cannot even get excited for this team anymore. the turd simply cannot be polished anymore. I have seen enough of the terrible drafts and terrible FA aquisitions creating terrible rosters coached by terrible coaches paid by a terrible organization owned by a terrible owner. Buffalo and WNY is a great place, the team doesnt deserve this city/area. Lets get a real team here for once. I am not buying into this "proven HC" thing. We need the right coach. I bet you all enjoyed watching NE get their sh*t pushed in by Baltimore - well that could be us. Johns brother Jim is sitting out in Stanford waiting for an NFL job to come along. IMO Jim is a better ball coach than John. That Ravens team you saw play today, that could be our Bills in a season or two. Its as easy as that. Just hire Jim Harbaugh. But the sad part is, it wont be. We will bring in another joke of a coach, retain our joke scouting department, and add a couple more joke FAs and draft picks. Thats the truth of it. This team is a joke, and bad joke. There is no logical reason to think any differently. My blind admiration for this team has been used up. I just dont have it anymore. I am now purely logical in my fanhood, which is an awful thing for this putrid franchise. -
I thought it was called the Racist Rule? Requiring something based solely on race... aint that the defintion?

You could say the same thing about the police. They are some of the scummiest dirt bags around. They are trained to lie and distort people to doing thengs they dont have to. They commit purgery on a daily basis. Everyone I know from high school who has gone onto become a police officer was a drug dealer in high school. Every encounter I have had with a police officer - as a speeding drive, as a member of a jury, as just an observer, everything - has been bad. Add that to the fact that I am from Rochester, where many towns have just had huge scandels with their cops.... I would trust a convicted felon over a police officer. Maybe I have had the misfortune of dealing with a few bad apples, and a few good cops are lumped into that venting but thats the nature of the beast.

I know this has been discussed before, but..........
High Mark replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has a top 5 QB in the league over the past few years. yes -
I agree. Baluga is the best run blocker I have seen in college in a long time. He has a great post and swivel and is always between his man and the ball carrier. Always wins at teh LOS. He is underrated as a pass blocker too- looked good agaisnt some very good DEs at GT. As for McClain... I just wanna say second round. He has heavy feet which wont show up in his 40 time cause he is a long strider. He is not very quick but is big. As the draft process moves along people will say he is a 2 down backer and will end up dropping like Maleuga did. He is a very good LB but not a top pick. People said the same things about Poz pre-draft. He is a second round guy who will fall a bit too far becuase of questions about his 3-down ability. I hope he is on the Bills roster next year, but he will be a second round guy. His value is not in the first 25 picks. Dont believe that idiot McShay.

Habaugh is the best availible coach, including Shanny/Cowher/everyone. He is a guy who played under Bo Schebekler(sp?) at Michigan, went like 15 seasons in the NFL, Son of a great NFL HC, brother to a current and successful NFL HC, and has won at the college level agaisnt vastly superior talent. He knows how to run the ball and uses fullbacks and TEs the way they should be used. His style of football will only be more successful in the NFL. It doesnt matter if the Bills sign him or not, he will be extremely succeful in the NFL regardless of where he ends up. I hope its in Buffalo. And I dont believe he ever signed an extension....I know one was offered to him but he was waiting to sign it - reportedly because he wanted to jump to the NFL.
-
Its been Harbaugh of bust for me for about 18 months now. Cowher would be the obvious choice, but I just get a feeling that he wont be successful here. The HC in Buffalo needs to be the GM, the scouts, everything. Cowher had a lot of support in Pitt which he wont have here. Harbaugh is the younger up and coming Cowher/Shottenhiemer.... not the has been one...

Schottenheimer has itch to coach?
High Mark replied to bigbillsfan12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I want Jim Harbaugh, Shotty and Cowy have had their success in the past but Jimmy plays the same type of ball and is the new younger up and coming coach. I think he is the best option out there including Shott and Cowher -
Bills interviewing Marty's son for HC
High Mark replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He could be interviewing potential assistants, just disguising it as HC interviews. Cowher with Riviera as DC adn Schot as OC? Brilliant! -
He struggles because he has almost no tools. He has a strong arm and is tall and.... well thats it. Two of the most looked at but least important attributes of a QB. Things like intelligence/ability to read a D, pocket awareness, accuracy, anticipation.... all much more important. Sneads tools get you Losman, the ones I listed get you Joe Montana. I would only touch Snead it round 5, thats the highest I would ever consider taking him.
-
Has accuracy issues is an understatement. A completion % of 60% in college is not very good. I would be interested in his WRs RAC stat which is another good indication of accuracy, but I bet its kinda low. He plays for Petrino who also coached Brohm and now they are saying Brohm had trouble with reads and progressions because of the simplicity of Petrinos O. If the Bills are going to take a big project QB who likely wont start next season then it better not be in round 1 and Id prefer Tebow over Mallet. Id take Mallet over Pike though.

Buddy "Ralph, we wanna trade up for the strong armed QB from Notre Dame, what ya think?" Ralph "Notre Dame? Sure, I always liked those four Horseman, Which horseman was he again?" Buddy "Ralph, that was 1924"

Just to add my personal believes on NFL football. Great QBs are so hard to come by. Theres Manning, theres Brees, Brady, Rivers whoever. They are never good from the get go and take years to become as good as they are. Its so hard to get a really good one these days. how hard is it to assemble a good OL? Its much easier. OL are some of the easiest to scout, contribute immediately, so on and so forth. Now if wood never was injured/comes back to play full strength, we basically have half an OL. If we dedicate two early picks to LT and C/G/T, our OL is set for 5-10 years depending on us resigning them. Levitre Wood 2 rooks and Butler. Two drafts, entire good OL assembled. Now with a great D on the other side and a running game, we can compete every year redardless of who is at QB. Id rather be experiencing the Jets season right now than the Lions.....
-
I agree with what you said- but thats not the point I was trying to make. I was getting at how to draft, groom, and develope the QB so that they BECOME a Manning/Rivers/Rothelismcburger/Flacco etc. You need the other 21 pieces of the puzzle..... Of course you dont really need a great running game when you have P. Manning. What I was trying to say is, young QBs are more likely to become successful with a good supporting cast. Rivers was drafted, sat for a few years learning, then came in with a great running game (LT lead the league in rushing in Rivers first two seasons as starter - 06, 07) and great D. The running game has slowed, the D is not as good, but Rivers has become a great QB, the they dont need the running game and D to remain competative. If he was asked to win games for them from day one, struggled, and was run out of town after a few losing seasons and a regime change..... not the same ending. P. Manning had Edge - who led the league in rushing his first two years in the league (Mannings second and third years). Sanchez has the same luxary of great running game OL and D. What will the Bills rookie QB have? The leagues worst run D from a year before - who can never get off the field. A OL made of swiss cheese, and a middle of the road running attack. Not exactly the winning formula. I am well aware the Bills need a QB BADLY, but we need other things just as bad. We arent going to draft a guy who plays like Rivers/Manning out of the gate- so all the posts like "a great QB doesnt need a great OL"... you are right... but we dont have a great QB. If we draft one, we wont have one for 3-4 years. If Clausen is the guy and availible, draft him, but dont play him next season - it will do more harm then good. I dont think He will be there. I dont think Bradford is worth our top ten pick as of right now. I do know there will be an OL there worth it though. Teams dont need a great OL when they have Manning/Rivers etc. We have Brian Brohm/2010 draft pick/washed up free agent. So yea, we need a great line to be successful.

He is reaching back into our pockets for our money. He already has our souls....

Well, its confirmed, he didnt want Maybin. When he starts talkin about "big nasties" (OL) he is talking about Baluga from Iowa. May only project to RT, but good God I hope he declares. My favorite part of the interview is Chris browns sign off in a very unenthuesiastic tone.... "Well good luck this off season, you have a long one ahead of you"
