  1. Josh is going to get MVP this year, cemented by these last two games on national TV. He’s playing lights out right now.
  2. We are great at hail mary defense.
  3. We scored 48 and the game came down to an onside kick with 12 seconds left. The defense is terrible. The only way to win in the playoffs is with a perfect Josh Allen. Going to be tough to do over what is likely to be 4 playoff games.
  4. I don’t think you’re following me. I agree with you the Bills should blitz. They have to blitz. They have to blitz because they can’t generate pressure otherwise.
  5. It’s not about being too proud, lol. We can’t stop the run. You’re right we have to blitz but when you don’t get home you risk long runs.
  6. We’ll have agree to disagree on this one. You shouldn’t have to blitz to stop the run. Pass blitzing was because we got zero pressure with 4 rushers. Good QBs will kill you if pass blitzes aren’t successful. They were embarrassed this week, so next week will probably look better but the deficiencies remain the same.
  7. Josh is the team, but that’s the same with any great player at QB. I disagree about the offense. The offense can control games. I agree 100% on the defense. Only a handful of players are good on that side.
  8. The Bills had to blitz yesterday to try and stop the run and pass. I know the pass blitzing was picked up pretty easily and you pay the price when it is. I saw the run blitzes make some stops. Not sure how that fared overall. The bigger point however, is that if that is how you’re relying on making stops, by having to sell out to apply pressure to the run or pass, your defense sucks. And our defense sucked yesterday. Blame the players or scheme or both but we sucked. Unfortunately this won’t be the last time you see a performance like this.
  9. The offense scored 42 points. It seems like they had urgency. Is he only talking about “his” unit, the defense?
  10. Are they getting a new defense before then?
  11. If only we had scored 50 😩
  12. This question got asked one week too soon
  13. Of the 3 you mentioned, who have all been good, Benford has been tremendous this year. What a steal he turned out to be.
  14. Always liked Rapp. A case could be made that he’s the MVP of the defense this year.
  15. I like McD and think he is overall an excellent coach. On the negative side, he makes mistakes at critical times that has cost the team in big games. I personally hate the defense we run. Because the defense won’t change as long as he is here, I would still like a change. Of course, nothing would make me happier than to win it all this year and then he can stay forever and I’ll worship at the shrine that will be constructed in his honor!
  16. Yes, and anybody else we see in the playoffs. Run D will be a problem if we can’t maintain a lead.
  17. This team has done better than expected for me also. But, your points are spot on. We have been here before and collapsed at the end. This team has serious problems on defense for a championship run. The run D stinks and we have an average pass rush. We also have to contend with coaching brain farts at critical moments. Let’s see if the defensive weaknesses improve after the bye and if we can get the number 1 seed. This team is constructed, as in years past, that Josh has to be practically flawless to win. That’s hard to do across multiple playoff games.
  18. The Bills rush defense is poor. The Chiefs had 17 rushing attempts this game. I would expect that number to double if we meet again. Going to hard to beat teams that can run and control the clock.
  19. Today Minny-Detroit, here’s how things were played. Minny needs a FG. No time outs. 15 seconds left ball at the 30. Detroit lined up 2 to rush. Best I could tell they rushed 1. Ball was completed to Minny 45 in bounds. They rush to spike. Have an alignment penalty and get 1 second on the clock. I personally didn’t follow how that worked but they have one last play with a second left at their 45. Detroit shows 3 rushing but blitzed with 5, I believe. Darnold sacked.
  20. 7 in coverage doesn't mean you have to concede anything. You could, as an example, play press on the two wide outs, while still playing off in other areas. I would also be chucking those receivers to screw up timing. McD's probelm is that he's always passive.
  21. Agree on the bodies. You can add Coleman too. But, still don't like giving a QB whatever time they want to scan the field. Rodgers finally threw the ball when a LB came to add pressure. Rush four, drop seven and the ball comes out much faster. No time to pick and choose what you're going to do.
  22. Something is seriously wrong with McD in these situations. You can't rush 2 when the QB can reach the endzone. Maybe if they were on their own 20, but not from there. Rodgers had all day. And, how about some bigger bodies back there.
