  1. Actually getting rid of any of our mistakes from FA isn't that expensive, you don't lose by dumping the contract, contracts are not guaranteed in the NFL. The signing bonus is the only guaranteed part. This also goes for any older player that we gave a big expensive contract to the last few years, the thing that sucks about locking a guy up is that if they start to suck they also lose the trade value so you have to just dump them. The pack just did this with a player (who is a DE we should be looking (BTW).
  2. He is along with McGee one of the best on the team, resign him now, how any body could think he hasn't been truly great for the last 2 years is beyond me, I think if we can't resign, franchise tag him and have been saying it for months. He will be expensive, no doubt, quality in general is. So we drafted some young guys? I don't see the point, there is room, we are a little short in the DBfield going into again next week, no? BTW any news on his xray yet, is he okay? What did he hurt? I really hate that they scheme both of our premeire dbs out of plays by making them play this freaking soft cover zone crap though. Both are great at man to man, I can't believe they didn't have him in man on Ginn 2 weeks ago when mcgee was hurting.
  3. Is a combination of both, a few too many jukes but more a shitey line and bad play calling. 3 screen passes in the last 2 games, no draws, little playaction to slow these guys down. Plus we tend to go up the middle where some of our division rivals have their best players. I would like to hear Jauron did what Ruff did last week and put these guys through some nasty practices, be tough on them! Don't execute during the game, FIX it in practice! Work them hard and stop worring about injuries (they seem to happen anyway, just more of the playing not to lose philoshpy, I guees). The Saber's responded BTW 5-0 against the Caps the next game.
  4. I voted yes, why would someone vote no, but who is Coe?
  5. 2 days down (and it's my 49th birthday) I guess I might feel better by thursday, honestly it has always been hard for me, got really bad after wide right.... music city bs........ no goals 1-3......9 years no playoffs kind of dulled it for the Bills but a couple of years ago with the sabres getting to the finals again......It is not so bad when the teams suck, but when you know they are winners only to be shot down again, curse the damn Bflo. curse!!! I know it is immature but......... what can I do? If they do well in the I expect them to collaspe even if I hope that these are the ONES. I haven't lived in Bflo. for 15 years either, that had no affect on me. Sometimes I think being father away makes it more acute. Oh well, bring on the Pats*, Go Bills !!!!!! Go Sabres!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I agree too good post, I knew we had a young team playing beyond expectations to start with. I am happy we are still in it at this point TBH. We definitly need more depth and a few more playmakers.
  7. I hate the soft cover/zone 2, let the frigging team take chances! A burn is worth a turnover! Play man more, play tighter. We need to ditch "bend not win".
  8. seems like they will have to make rosters bigger if they do this to compinsate for the extra carnage. I like the idea though, if I was a player I would freak at I'm sure.
  9. We have really had a lot of "key players" injured or just out at times this year, bad timing with some of them it seems.....(Marshawns illness today really seemed to hurt us). Why does losing a starter hurt us so bad if we have such "improved depth"? Are they spending too much practice time being in the oppisition roles? I guess it happens to all teams though. A list from this season: 1 game or more, McGee, Edwards, Reed, Schobel, Butler, Fine, Fowler, Youboty, Simpson, now Greer got an x-ray on his hand, Donte, Whittle (I miss anybody?). It is getting to be quite the collection, but not as bad as last year. Bowen*(IR), Crowell*(IR), DiGiorgio*, Peters*(holdout) Get well soon Josh, Donte, Ashton, Jerry, Aaron and Jabari!!!!! We need you guys (apparently).
  10. agree on both counts, we could go no huddle at times too.
  11. yeah they haven't been to great, Poz is learning, Ellision plays 1/2 time tough, and Mitchell? I missed seeing him today again. Overall though, it is a unit that needs the players around it to help out more because of the injuries and Crowell situation. I give them a little bit of a pass.
  12. This is much better than you're Trent lost the game thread but you graded too easy. 3 of the first 5 games needed comebacks in the 4th quarter and I would think there were problems in those games that are being exploited now. B- does make sense for a 5/3 record but I really haven't liked what I have seen since the Chargers game and the week we played b4 that was, well just plain bad. C to C+ overall, we are lucky to be tied for 1st at this point. I hope they can get it together again.
  13. Not very fast, good route runner decent hands, can get to the ball to catches, from what I remember.
  14. Royal looked good today too, I didn't see them put it up to him in the EZ at the end though. Every time it goes his way now I feel uneasy but I was glad to see him get his number called anyway. I hope Fine continues and was happy Steve Johnson got at least one pass today as well.
  15. I have a lot more trouble with the play call on the fourth down early in the game, I think it could have worked much more to our advantage to score those 3 points and giving it to Freddy, well..... at this point if Marshawn is sick, I don't really understand wtf we have a fullback for. Last weeks game was remembered by the coaches and they wanted to put it behind them, bad move, the damage is compounded now. Then they went and kicked the one later when it would have been better IMO to go for it (Marshawn was better and running it a little better at that point, or fake it. I love to see Moormen running it and really who would expect it twice in one game). Those 3 and 7 win the game! I also hate the lack of killer instinct by not doing anything right before the half, you got to try something, sideline passes or a bomb...... it is a bit of a risk but it is worth it IMO. In the instance you talked about the TD is the no brainer. They are at the 25 already and just moved well down the field to get there. You got to try to score the bigger points and get back in the game. 3 doesn't do it from a psycological view point and the game is pretty much lost by then anyway even if we get the ball, they need the TD so it tightens up the defensive secondary more in the longer field and gives you way less chances. I hate desperation football.
  16. I can see them losing to a few more of those teams than you. KC is getting better. Bflo will get it right this time, they have to. Oakland might be a loss, wouldn't surprize me much. NE and the Jets I agree, who knows? In division games this year are a toss up (i have been feeling this since the Brady injury and now even more so).
  17. I was all in favor of drafting him but we didn't, oh well. I moved on so should you.
  18. All the well thought out answers on this board didn't convince you of anything and I can't believe you are playing your thread out this long, why is everybody wasting time with arguing with you? OK, you win, TRENT cost us the game. Happy now BTW, you are a first class buttplug.
  19. thx that movie always makes me laugh. I needed that.
  20. Actually I feel I am blessed to be from Bflo and being a football and hockey fan, if any teams can teach you to get through adversity and overcome great odds. It is the Bills and the Sabres. I guess what I am trying to say here is this: There is heart break in life and the relationship I have had with these teams have helped me deal with. I couldn't divorce the Bills or Sabres if I tried. My wives on the other hand...........
  21. Hey thats a good idea!! ^^^^^^ But I doubt it will float in NYC I hope Mr. Kelly can get old Raphie to give someone else a chance before he checks out. Maybe with the economy, the election and the promise of more taxes and Mr. Rodgers being put in the hospital this week is changing his gears a bit. Or maybe Jimbo got the plan more together and presented it to Ralph again.
  22. Edwards didn't have a great game, I'll give you that but he threw the ball well most of the time. Defense Blew! They couldn't stop the run game, plus we couldn't run the ball. Trent is bound to stuggle some, he is young and so is Hardy (before you start a thread about him being a wasted draft pick). They really did play a piss poor sloppy game though. JP wouldn't have done better, IMO. But I was never a JP homer, too much pressure! the o line, they just sucked again. JP would have done the happy feet deer in the head lights thing. I am frankly worried Trents going to get hurt. We looked like a bad team starting at the beginning of the year, they seem to have lost it during the bye week. Why can't they go through the progressions and make plays (execute)? On both sides, stupid penalties, no push on the O-line again and no pressure from the D line, the backers were shabby too, Poz had a bunch of misses today, didn't see Mitchell all day. Where were the blitzes? Why did Jauron waste another challenge? I would have kicked the first FG and gone for it the second one that Lindell missed, too (Lynch was back and running better by then). Where is the fullback? and why can we run a screen play? LOL just shows you they remember last weeks game even though they say they forget it. The only bright spots were Fine, Fine start for the fine young man and Johnson. I say put him out there more. Who cares about draft position I want results.
  23. Didn't Ross and wats her name get married too? Bobby Chandler was great at running a perfect pattern and holding on. I don't remember him dropping any, frankly. Josh Reed runs pretty routs too and this year he has been very good at holding on to everything too, wish he was healthy this week.
