  2. thanks looking on channelsurf now they say they will only have audio, still looking...... found one here now too http://www.justin.tv/vertica
  3. I have heard of him. Actually I want Corner to step up this week.
  4. Man Bills fan are getting morbid, come on guys !!! maybe the O line ML has a 200 yard game or D-line 5 sacks and 3 ints. due to hurries those are the unlikely heros I want to see.
  5. as per bills daily Youboty Has Plantar Fasciitis: The injury news got worse for the Bills at cornerback. Ashton Youboty did not practice on Thursday after practicing on a limited basis the past two weeks. He has now been diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis. This is an injury to the muscle under the sole of the foot. It's a tough injury to play with and it appears he may be out indefinitely. With Donte Whitner also out that leaves a huge hole at the slot position. That means one of the two rookies has to step up and 4th round pick Reggie Corner may get the shot over top pick Leodis McKelvin. Corner played the slot more in training camp and the OTAs than McKelvin.
  6. I wonder why people think Greer and MeGee are not good enough to play man? They could and we could keep the LBs and safeties in zone. During the Miami game I was screaming why not put Greer in man on Ginn? and give MeGee help on the other guy. I think the zone 2 is a "bend and lose" D, the way we play off on short passing QBs. We need to bump them, not stand 10 yards off. Take a chance to get burned and MAKE some plays. 50 little mistakes vs. a big play or 2 going against us seems like a good move if we become more effective in the turnover catagory. The stunting seems ineffective too, can't phantom why we do it every week. Blitzing well, I think the statement live by the blitz die by the blitz still stands in this league. There are other ways to handle it IMO. Some blitz can be a good thing, but we need a DE type LB to do it well, we don't have the personnel it would seem.
  7. Fairchild wasn't going to get fired. Maybe they should fire Fewell but the most important point here is: You're not Crayonz, stop trying to play him on TBD. At least some of his posts are witty.
  8. From the title, I thought this thread was going to be about fast head fred.
  9. Thanks, I work with out a contract too I was happy some one pointed out the stats about doing it in the 3rd. Maybe we should stop deferring and do it then. I wasn't aware of the stats about the failure of it actually. I think some of these ideas I threw out there might be worthwhile and I think our division knows us well enough to try something different. I dislike mistakes as much as anyone but perdictablity leads to mistakes by them knowing what scheme to use too. I mean even the fake punt is getting old, we need a change up.
  10. The Bills do have a problem in the RZ just the same as they had last year. Having a qb that can get the team moving the chains has helped somewhat, these last two weeks we were still in the game. a) because the D wasn't that bad, that they allowed a lot of points (until they tired out at the end with the 8 minute drive). b) because they do move the ball. Turnovers aside for a minute (because the team that has the most TOs generally losses), the problem is not having a rushing game, it allows the other team to tee off on TE and play tight on coverage (because there just isn't as much room to manuver) in the RZ. The answer is making changes that make the running game work. Levy did in 88 by going to two TEs and running the nohuddle (it didn't always work BTW) but it was used to deal with the SAME problem (weak line play). Just my opinion ~honest
  11. I agree that it does take a strong D to make it a viable option but I guess I just thought it was creative. I thought after watching games 1-3, a little less 4 and then 5 that we were going to be a bit less vanilla this year. The last game I liked the fake punt call and it worked. Anywho.......... ~honest
  12. They could shuffle the guys around a bit to cover the glaring badness of the line at the moment. At one point Jason was a guard no? How about moving him back (I know he stinks at it but we wouldn't have to pay him LOT money, either ) Put Walker back there, it worked well that first game. The center? I don't know maybe Fowler is still not well and getting demoted might have fired him up a bit. Countinuety on the O line was really one of the things I looked forward to before the season, it is a damn shame it hasn't worked out. "3. Resign Kirk Chambers to be a backup tackle. Give Demetrius Bell some reps as a backup" I like it! I think they could try a 2 TE set and no huddle like some famous coach we had in the past did too ~honest
  13. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=75838 This has been discussed Tcali is gonna be happy you agree. There is another thread around from last week about it too. Personally I don't buy it. But hey, he is slower, so it can't be because the Jets and Miami knew what to throw at him, confuse him and slow him down. If it is cobwebs, he didn't feel bad the week after it happened, when he got excellent protection and had his career game. I'm just saying..... ~Honest
  14. So now he sits 4 more games b4 he plays, right? That is what I understood.
  15. If McCain got in there instead, acting like Singletary would seem mild. Honest~
  16. A bit off topic but just because of you sig How about those Sabres!! 2 shutouts in a row for Miller woot woot! Ruff gave them hell and they respond. There is a lesson there Dick.
  17. your trying to start on of those "Confusious says" joke threads aren't you?
  18. We are already close to that number, I saw it somewhere, and we are only 1/2 though the season.
  19. I don't think you're right and neither did anyone in this or the other thread. You just want to be right and that is all this is about. You must be really fun to work or live with. You, COME ON, I am right, no?
  20. Good idea! I wish we could come up with some more things like it. How about NOT using the wildcat though, Trent got labeled on that play or if we are going to use it, put JP out there (no hate on JP but he can run and throw is why I suggest it, plus it would take away the injury threat to our starter). They know something is up when you line up shotgun to the RB anyway. I also wish they would have faked the last FG, why not? who is going to expect 2 fakes in one game? And really the first one (except for the penalty) worked. I really like our team and think they are good but we are having some problems and we really need to improve on things. I do like a 3 back T-formation sweep with a TE out wide and Evans on the other side (would be a surprise early in a game and help establish the run in the winter). I really think we need some different looks to get the ball moving in the run game. Just running up the middle (between the tackles) is not our strength and is not cutting it. Outside running early would be good if nothing else to loosen up the middle. Or anything with 2 TEs and 2 running backs (in a hurry up, sound familar?) Actually I would love to hear other suggestions from you all about what the Bills and their coaches can do to work out the kinks that we are experiencing in our 1-3 (W/L) last four games. Teams esply our division rivals have the book on this team or so it would seem. Let's re-write it some. 15 suggestions/ideas from me that you can expand or not, remember their just some ideas I am throwing out their. Also, I don't want us to turn into the "gimmick team" I just would like to see a bit more creativity. 1. for me anyway, I would like to see us pick up KBG from GB 2. using Fine more maybe even lined up outside Freddie too (outside as a wide out) 3. give Steve Jackson a shot instead of Hardy (he was better in preseason, maybe he is more developed right NOW, I am not suggesting we give up on James, just give a competitor a shot). 4. run the fullback? use him more. (I have no idea if he is any good honestly, maybe that is why we are not using him) 5. reshuffle the O-line? (it worked when Jason was out) how about he becomes the new right guard? 6. I said it above use 2 TEs? 7. find someway to help the LBs, they are depleted and it shows w/ Whitner out I am worried about a few aspects of the middle of our D. 8. have our corners play man and tight more often, maybe even all of the time. 9. more runs and screens outside the tackles (actually goes with #6). 10. get McKelvin off the returns (we have one of the very best who ever did it, I understand the change but it is NOT working even if he does have a nice average). 11. spread formation to set up a run or playaction, or very spread formation a little bit like that HS team does. We have a lot of receivers who are decent with space. 12. more draws and screens (the o-line is used to letting go early and we force them to respect something) sure sometimes they won't work. 13. two burners on returns, MeGee and McKelvin? 14. Greer on a return (he looks sick on pick sixes) 15. never give up the 1:21 seconds before the half again!!!!! One last thing I didn't have too many for the D because except for the last drive and some laspes last week they have been good if you see some great way to help add it. add something or crit. then let's send it to Chris Brown to show the coaches.
  21. Yes this is a tough situation, bring in the greenbay guy with the impossible name. The Whitner thing well..... hopefully we can work it out with the personell we've got. I would be running our CBs in man and dump the zone cover but thats just because I hate it and would do that anyway. Maybe we could get Crowell back now if we risked putting him on waivers. The DBs are thin how about activating Corner? He looked better than McKelvin in preseason, last year the injuries made people step up and we found we DID have some depth, maybe we can get lucky again.
  22. Good fix ^^^ I was worried everytime robert royal jelly touched the ball yesterday and he had a good game.
  23. ^been saying it too^ hope we see more, even if Reed is good to go, he looked good in preseason better than Hardly, more developed.....
  24. Head has too many nicks on this board!!!! And really the line wasn't perfect last year but they didn't suck SO bad either. Maybe the new guy could just give him a call for suggestions.
