  1. He always had great points of view during games. Seems clear and level headed and understands the game. His success will depend on what or who surrounds him. I can envision Lynch being pretty good at talent assessment and working with coaches and team officials. Lynch will have a severe learning curve when it comes to cap issues, and such.
  2. I do think the way the Bills played in that game did influence the decision some.
  3. why? what does this even mean?
  4. The Pats did what you do when you have a great QB. They found the weakness in Pitts game plan and exploited it. That's what makes BB and Brady so gosh darn good. Hogan is an average player that has arguably the greatest QB throwing him the ball. Hogan will have good games with NE. Does anyone see Hogan going for 1000 yards and 8 touchdowns?
  5. It is rare(if ever) that a QB flies up draft boards due to the combine or private work outs. Can anyone think of an example? This is why you rarely see QB's that are seen as first round talent partaking in the combine. There is nothing to gain and every think to lose due to injury.
  6. You missed the point of my post, or i did not do a good job explaining myself. Post season work outs and combine workouts should not turn a quarter back into a top 10 draft pick. QB is one of the few positions on the football field where combine or work out numbers really do not matter a lot. Study tape, talk to people that know the prospect, and then talk to the player(which every team has already done on every QB in college that has any talent).
  7. Gosh i hope the Bills do not decide after these things on if they should take a QB in the top 10. To me if a QB is worthy of a top 10 pick it is due to his portfolio of work on the field. The work outs favor a QB that might not of been drafted or drafted late. These are the Qb's we watch being selected in the 3,4,or 5th rounds. To answer the question- If TT is back i think the Bills wait and try to find a value guy later in the draft or roll with Cardele and TT and find a Vet 'ham and egger' type later.
  8. This was exactly what I thought when I looked at that first post attempt...classic
  9. Oh man, i suffered a lot of heart ache during the 90's being a Bills and Braves fan. Atlanta is coming along as a sports city. I want to see where Atlanta is in 30 years from now. I think the Falcons winning a Super Bowl this year will help them grow the fan base a ton. The nice weather and the fact that it is a city of transplants has stunted the growth for awhile. As this generation born here in the 80's and 90's begins to make money and support the teams i think things will change.
  10. that is a shame. The Glenn to RT would be a nice solving of two issues if CK is ready to go and Glenn is cool with it.
  11. What is your perspective of Atlanta? The local sports talk guys had Dan on the radio on Tuesday. They actually did a good job of ripping him apart and making him look really foolish and lazy.
  12. I am sensing some sarcasm here. Julio is a gamer, i am sure he already knows about this. I do think it is a little premature to draft the great WR without a true NFL caliber passing QB. See what the Lions did during the 90's and into the 2000's. Which does not apply here because Ryan is a good to great QB.
  13. Falcons are going to win this game. Only thing that derails them is Mack getting hurt early. I am thinking 34-21 Falcons.
  14. McDermott just came from Carolina where he watched Newton as QB. McDermott may believe that the team he has in Buffalo is as good talent wise as what he witnessed in Carolina. Taylor is not terrible. Taylor needs confidence and a staff that can build him up. Taylor has the arm strength and talent to be a complimentary piece ala Manning in his last season with Denver. If McDermott can get the team to 'buy in' than Taylor is enough to win and make the playoffs and maybe more.
  15. You do realize this is Quinn's 3 Super Bowl in 4 years?Quinn is 4-1 in Super games or playoff games with a bye. Belichik is 13-3.
  16. I was at the game. I could of sold my ticket for $2,000. I thought about it as i was a senior in H.S. I wanted to see the Bills more than the money. I buried my dad. The man sent me to three Super Bowls, and got me started on the Bills. I finished HS, College, opened a business. Got married and divorced and engaged now. No kids yet, i hope that is the next chapter. Ready to pass down being a Bills fan to a son or daughter. Even though my fiance says no way.
  17. How did i forget Mack. he is probably one of the main reasons for the Falcons resurgence.
  18. Romo is so tough to say yes or no to. He is not like Drew Bree's was leaving SD. Romo has a chronic back issues. Every QB is going to take a hit, a big one during the year. When ,not if , that happens Romo has a better then 50% chance of not playing for awhile. Games . The Glenn to RT would solve that problem if Glenn will do it. I like that idea.
  19. The theme for McDermott has been surround himself with experienced coaches has had prior knowledge of working with. Let's hope it translates into a great working relationship which in turns means a wel coached team that wins games.
  20. Gabriel was cut by Cleveland and has excelled in Atlanta. Gabriel is everything the Bills wish Goodwin could be. Some of this is timing and some is culture.
  21. I think the Falcons have a real shot at it. They have a ton of weapons on the offensive side of the ball. If anyone can figure out how to stop it , Belichik is the one. The Falcons D has been playing very opportunistic football for the past 2 months. Take away margin has been huge in the Falcons favor. The only thing that can stop Atlanta is itself. I am hoping everyone behaves themselves over the next two weeks, stays focused and ready to play. No night before the game arrests like in '98. Matt Ryan needs to play within himself. Ryan has Freeman and Coleman and a strong o line to pound it if BB tries some funky fronts. It is going to be a very good game i think. I could see it being close and low scoring for the first half, neither team getting over 15 points.
  22. What does that mean?
  23. Bill Belichik with two weeks is scarry. Belichik will try and find the Falcons center point and take it away. I just don't know if the Falcons have one player you can key on. Besides Matt Ryan there is not one indespensable player on O. Julio is good, but so his Sanu, Gabriel, Robinson, Coleman, Freeman, and the TE's. The game will be close. I don't see the Falcons getting blown out. Quinn needs to reach out to his friends on Seattle for some tips. I want to see how the line moves over the next week.
  24. Awesome! So pumped for the Falcons and the city. Atlanta has a good shot at to beat the Pats because they do so much great. Give BB two weeks though and he is dangerous.
